Bunches Direct delivered DEAD, ROTTING flowers
Bunches Direct delivered DEAD and ROTTING flowers to a bride TWO DAYS BEFORE HER WEDDING!
In general I don't like to post negative reviews, but I had to call out this company for creating this situation.
Can you imagine the unmitigated gall of a florist to do something like that to a young bride? Our young bride took tons of time, over the course of weeks, carefully picking flowers and planning arrangements to give her special day a joyful, personal touch. This company took her money, then derailed her efforts and saddled her with enormous additional stress. The flowers were not shipped in a refrigerated state, nor were they provided with any hydration to sustain them during transit - something any decent florist knows to do. In fact, it even said on the boxes that the contents must be kept between 3°and 7°C - which was obviously not the case. The owners of this company either have no control over their people & processes, or are not actually interested in selling flowers. The company's carelessness was unspeakable.
We have tried reaching Bunches Direct by email and phone, and provided lots of photographs of the flowers taken right after they were received. Bunches Direct responded more than 24 hours later, but demanded additional detailed photo evidence and outright dismissed some of the claim for decaying flowers they opined were "usable". There has been no response to any subsequent emails and the additional evidence we provided. Hopefully posting about this disastrous experience publicly as a warning to others may also get that buchesdirect.ca moving on refunds to the bride and groom's money. Meanwhile, please beware. The cost savings disappear when your flowers arrive in a bad state, and leave you no time to change your plans.
To do better, this company needs to adhere to the conditions set out by Fedex or any other shippers they use) for shipping perishable items - even overnight. They also need to put a lot more people on their customer support lines/email, and expedite refunds. Based on the many other reviews I've now found, both their procedures and service appear lacking, and have been for many years.
