No issues with customer service. However, the lease terms are extremely sketchy and borderline predatory: - No obligation to fix utilities in a reasonable time frame - No reimbursement for time... See more

I like the streamlined process of…
I like the streamlined process of finding room to rent. It is efficient and fast. The cleaning fee however is a bit high. Overall, I like the way things are done.

There's no living room in this house
There's no living room in this house! The food waste disposal just randomly stopped working... the fridge is nowhere near big enough for a "7 person house", and there's black mold on a bunch of the windows!

Bungalow doesn’t hold up to the lease…
Bungalow doesn’t hold up to the lease agreements. Tenants smoke in the home while others have asthma and cause for an unhealthy living environment. Their are mice in the home and homeowner hasn’t gotten the house an exterminator. This makes for unhealthy living conditions and it isn’t safe to live in. The furniture is all broken and old as well.
Proudly, I call Bungalow Home
Bungalow is the ideal place to call home. When I think of Rental Property, I think Bungalow. Been 4 years now :)
WHO wants to live in claustrophobic 1Bedroom apartments with Mini so-called Balconies, Germ-Promoting Elevators, Underground seeping water Parking lots, so-called run down gyms. Now good luck paying $3000 for a Cheap-O-Deal Apartment CompleX!
Bungalow is the exact Opposite.
Bungalow inspires me greatly. I get a lavish space, stepping outdoor in the backyard lawns, relishing a cup-of-coffee in 2000-5000 Sq ft property with Flowers, Garden, Pool and Driveway: Private rooms, restrooms, entryways and maybe a shared kitchen with 2 professionals just as you!!
The Pricing of 2013 in 2023, a steal deal indeed. An Urban twist for solving Urban day problems.
Cheers to the idea of professional Co-Living.
I am proud to call Bungalow Home :)
Carefully read the contract.
Once you sign the contract you are completely alone and support is nearly impossible to obtain. If they do get around to helping you be careful because you will be racked with fees even if the maintenance requests for example were preexisting. They dont let you see the place in advance but the contract says they give you the opportunity. Read the cintract CAREFULLY. It is astonishing how corrupt the agreement is. I had to rush through the process to avoid homelessness but i know better now.
I wouldn’t want my worst enemy living in a bungalow
How do I start this review:
Terrible response times on getting service in the house, after living there for 2 years I decided to only contact the owner of the property for anything to deal with the house.
Service fee goes to broken furniture, and terrible service. They charge for cleaning now which is overly expensive.
Lackluster house in general and the roommate process is also super frustrating, getting bombarded with 100s of messages a day while maintaining a full time job is extremely hard and just be fixed.
Keep in mind I lived in my property for over 4 years and I would never stay there again.
When I moved out they charged me for over 100 to clean the room I was staying in which was the size of 9*9. They offered me no proof the room needed to be cleaned after I spent time myself to make sure the room was returned in amazing condition. When I fought with them over this high fee they said it was standard and if I didn’t pay it they would report it to the credit bureaus as unpaid rent. The people I spoke to were rude and wouldn’t give me proof that a $100 cleaning was needed. I am currently looking at recovering the funds through alternative methods.
All in all do not stay with bungalow never have I seen such terrible service and slum lord esque policies.
Good Service
Responses are very timely and correspondents are patient in dealing with requests. Issue is that sometimes maintenance requests take very long to be handled, otherwise so far so good.
I wish I never rented from Bungalow
I wish I never rented from Bungalow. Increase service fees whenever they want. Customer service not helpful. They will catfish you. The pictures look up to date but the actual room will look disgusting. Waiting for my lease to end soon
The worst company I have ever dealt…
The worst company I have ever dealt with. They will nickel and dime you for everything. They are very unclear and not forthcoming at all. Straight a terrible experience. I would highly recommend avoiding them.
no name
First, they place unqualified renters in the properties and don't screen them. I ended up having a bad living condition and the other renters stole over $5,000 worth of items from me. Bungalow did nothing about it. I asked for locks to be changed and they were not changed from the theft. I didn't have plumbing for 3 weeks due to back up. When asked to leave they reject you wanting to leave the property. When you terminate the lease they will make sure they get every cent out of you before you leave even though the property of which you are living at is unhabitable and unsafe. Do not rent from them, They are just going to make your life harder and getting in contact with them is impossible. Spend the extra money and live someplace else
On top of all of this, they raised my "service charges" $50 after I moved in. Also even though cleaning common areas is included, they also charged me with a separate cleanings fee. They are crooks and will find anyway to take from you.
Scam
They don’t terminate your lease unless you ask them to. I signed a three month lease then was changed for two extra months because they automatically extend your lease indefinitely once the end date is reached.
A mistake to join them
I had several awful experiences with Bungalow in the 9 months I lived with them. Mice in the property when I moved in, 4 months after moving the service fee (which was specified in the contract) increased from 99 dollars to 175 and it took weeks for the dishwasher to be fixed when a ticket was raised (I can't give an exact time frame here and I want to be as factual as possible in this review). Finally, when I first moved into the property there was a mattress dumped in my room. I have my own mattress and assuming that this one belonged to the property I returned the mattress to the room upon move out. I let the move out team know that it wasn't mine and I was leaving it there as this is how I found the room. They charged me 200 dollars for leaving it there even though it was theirs or a previous tenants to begin with. I've made several efforts to get in contact about this but in typical Bungalow fashion I get no response.
Bottom Line: Bungalow is very useful in getting a place to live in a hurry but in my personal experience it was a terrible mistake to choose them and I will never go back
Hopefully Bungalow sees this
Hopefully Bungalow sees this. As previously noted in other reviews they have very slow to non existing response times. I currently live in a property that experienced a fire. Paying full rent for a room with literal fire damage. Not once has anybody from Bungalow contacted me and it's been a week. I feel like this company is a total scam and just collects rent and ignores any and all services they advertise. Feeling very unsafe having given them my personal information and letting them be responsible for managing the property management. Even the landlord who hired them cannot reach the company!! Please DO NOT rent with this company.
Are these all fake profiles & fake rentals?
This seems to be a place which may just be filled with fake profiles and fake properties so that they can fool their investors. In my opinion it's a scam.
There are several lawsuits filed against them from New York to California.
I never got any response from any "roommates" etc.
I did get a response from Bungalow who called me and was attempting to get personal info from me so that they could run my credit report? I would never give this company my social security number in the "exploration and looking phase" I've been in sales all my life so the guy who called couldn't confuse me or push me into anything he wanted and he gave up pretty quick but I worry about others who can be pushed around easily.
I can't recommend this company at all.
Let us remember the gal who created 100,000 fake accounts and sold her business to JP Morgan for like $300 million (now being sued & hopefully will go to jail)
I just smell a scam with this Bungalow business.
DONT RENT THROUGH THEM
The response time is bad. I open a ticket and they ask a million questions to see if I can fix the problem. Rather than contact a plumber or contractor. I’m a pretty resourceful and handy person.
I rented a studio with this company in…
I rented a studio with this company in Santa Clara, California and since day one the entire electrical system has been failing. Kitchen connections, air conditioning, hot water does not work. I have been trying to get in touch for 18 days and making numerous requests and they have only sent one plumber. They never answer my calls or my emails asking for help. I am completely upset with the terrible attention from this company. I do not recommend it.
A SCAM
Listing title in a different neighborhood, move-in conditions were disgusting to say the least. Unacceptable response times and communication from maintenance and bungalow living. Had broken microwave, doors, fixtures, oven, and no wifi for over a month. Disrespectful and gaslighting company that takes advantage of people looking for easy to rent options. This seems like a good deal but it's a well-built scam. Bungalow owes me and all my roommates money. I have no idea what I paid for, and exhausted with trying to advocate for myself so currently looking into legal options. Please do your research and see the 100s of terrible reviews on third-party sites, as well as lawsuits. Our landlord decided to end his relationship with the company and rent directly from us, because he also has had an AWFUL experience - spending way more money than he ever anticipated.
Bungalow, if you're reading this I hope you feel something for the fact that you take advantage of people, and you work for/run a housing scam.
Stay away! No communication aside email, fees for non-existent services and maintenance
We signed 2 year contract with Bungalow in august 2021 (we're homeowners) - as soon as the contract was signed, nearly all communication dropped and it was nearly impossible to get ahold of a person by phone - right now it is not possible at all and all communication is via email, with weeks time wait each time. We were charged a fee for the smart lock and lied to that it was installed when it wasn't. Throughout the years we were charged for maintenance requests that were either incomplete or simple tasks were charged for with hundreds of dollars. Took reaching out to CFO on LinkedIn to get this the attention it deserved. Currently our contract is expiring at the end of the month, and per the contract we should have been notified whether the tenant is renewing, and/or whether Bungalow wants to renew the contract - no response for multiple emails again. Since we live in a different city we will now need to spend money on tickets to go there in September and pray and hope that the apartment has been vacated. Save your nerves and stay away.
