paid almost 190 euros for a repair/upgrade service to only receive a non functioning product.
(Some of the times between events might be off. But it is a fact I had to wait eight months.
I sent in a SVD from LCT for repair/upgrade service. It wouldn't shoot as the trigger disconnect would engage way too early. leaving the piston half or almost fully cocked.
Multiple things went wrong. 1. I had to wait EIGHT months for me to get it back. 2. Throughout these eight months it seemed like me constantly contacting them was the only reason they proceeded with the service. And 3. When I received it back in my mail, not only did I notice a lot of marks and scratches it also didn't shoot. Which was the main reason why I sent it to them for repairs. (I've made sure to use both a 11v and 7v lipo to ensure it wasn't because of weak power.)
The wait was quite annoying. A few weeks in I didn't receive a confirmation if they received the LCT SVD that I sent to them. I called them and they said they did. This was either two or three weeks in when you'd normally expect them to reach out with what they would recommend to replace part wise. They told me they did receive the SVD and will reach out to my email with their recommendations.
Several months in I again got inpatient and called them to see what's going on. They told me they emailed me(I did not receive any emails and I made sure to check my spam folder.) I might be wrong but I just think they didn't email me. I know they had my email address as I've sent it to them with the order. Plus I had conversations with an employee called "nick" on the matter beforehand. After confirming my email address, eventually I got their email with recommendations and price. Which I paid.
Another week or two went by and i again got impatient. I already emailed them to ask them if they received the payment and i didn't get a response. A week later or later on the same week I called and told them I paid for the service. They explained they were in process of using a new system and thus they didn't see the notification of me paying them or something like that. They told me they would get on it.
A month went by. Guess what. i called them once again and asked what the status was. They told me they needed a photoscan of my airsoft license. (I mean come on people. Why do i as a customer need to be the one to instigate progress on this. It's so amateur level.) anyways i got them my photoscan the same day and they ensured me that they would ship the SVD before the end of the week.
A week passed and I didn't get any shipping notification... I called them again to ask about the status. This time they explained to me that they broke the internal wiring and that he has to redo them and promised that it will be shipped the same week. Another employee said that they'd put in a extra bag of (in my opinion cheap)BBs as apology for the entire mess.
The next week I finally received it in the mail. Excited to give it a try I set up a quick target and got some charged batteries and prepared to see how well it would do. Before loading anything i proceeded to dry fire. It sounded horrible. Almost like the motor was eating up the gears inside. I got two shots off before the SVD locked up on me with the piston being cocked back right before release. I couldn't believe it.
Pissed off I prepared to take it apart to investigate. I noticed that the safety lever had dents and scratches on the screw/orientation head. I also noticed a lot of marks on the laminated wood foregrip and buttstock. Which I didn't had before I sent it in. Then I noticed that the motor had the colored wires inverted. meaning that the wiring was badly done inside of the gearbox. The gearbox is also supposed to be screwed into the receiver right below the magazine release paddle which they forgot to do. meaning that the gearbox was just floating inside of the receiver between the hopup and safety lever. The wiring was also noticeably chewed up between the gearbox and receiver internals.
Either I got really unlucky. I might have. But Bunker501 just really effed it up this time. Their overly lax contact and the fact that I needed to chase them for any kind of progress was ridiculous. worst part of all is that my lct svd is now even more damaged and that I paid for a repair that gave me a similar result before their "repair". Bunker501 unfortunately lost a customer that would have gladly paid for good service.
