My fire fitter purchased a fx5w fire line multi fuel burner from Burning curiosity ORMSKIRK LIVERPOOL ,,, within 24 hours the COOL TOUCH handle of my fire had MELTED AND CAME OF IN MY HAND,,, I contacted the fitter who contacted the shop who CALLED ME LATE THE NXT DAY I demanded to spk to a rep from Charlton & JENRICK to which sales director COLIN BLAIR called me the Friday Nxt day ,,,he promised me sincerely he would come with an engineer and a chrome handle and fix this on the Monday. He turned up with PHIL owner of BURNING CURIOSITY ORMSKIRK LPOOL,,, they both for 20 mins did their upmost to try fit a handle that wasn’t even the correct one for the fire,, as I refused THE COOL TOUCH ONE TO GO ON WHEN WE SPOKE ON PHONE days earlier,,, in the end after looking at them like two children trying to fit a square block into a round hole I asked them to stop and to take the handle away,,, COLIN BLAIR APOLOGISED ... and said he will bring correct handle Nxt time after speaking to his MD Peter Mintoft ... he explained he never had time to go to the factory to pick one up so thought they would give this handle a try,,,,I could not believe this they were once again putting me and my home at risk,,,
Phil from Burning curiosity in ormskirk lpool was the rudest adult I’ve dealt with ever.
The Md called me back two days later and said we will get you the right handle I said I have no faith in you your staff your product or your company so I’ve asked for it to be removed and a full refund ..
This has TO Be A BAD BATCH OF COOL TOUCH HANDLES AND THEY DIDN'T EVEN ASK FOR THE BATCH NUMBER OFF THE FIRE WHEN I CALLED THEM TO REPORT IT ,,IM CONVINCED THERE IS MORE OUT THERE THE SAME AS MINE IT CANT be the ONLY FIRE WITH A FAULTY HANDLE WHEN THEY ARE BOUGHT IN BATCHES ECT IVE REPORTED IT TO FIRE SERVICE, HETAS ECT AND WANT THIS OUT THERE SO PEOPLE CAN CHECK WHAT THEY ARE BUYING

What a professional team
We visited the Ormskirk showroom where we met Phil he explained everything to us and showed us different types of log burners
10 days later we're sat in front of a roaring fire.
Excellent price, Excellent installation.

After an initial random visit to their showroom in the Lake District whilst on holiday, we went to the Ormskirk shop to place our order as it's closer to us. I can honestly say their level of professionalism was second to none and we now have a gorgeous new electric fire and fireplace. Thanks all

I couldn't recommend Burning Curiosity more highly. They managed to rectify and complete the fitting of our stove and fireplace that another local business had started and made a complete balls up of. Thanks to all the guys and girls there that took away the stress I definitely didn't need over Christmas. I'm more than happy to write this review for you :) Emma

Good selection of fires and fireplaces although they didn't have the one we wanted in stock and we had to wait two weeks for it to be fitted.

We're so happy with out new stove and glad we took Mark's advice and went for the Jotul, it looks absolutely stunning. We might even have to have another in the conservatory. Thank you

I took my elderly mother along to the shop today and the staff were really helpful explaining the differences between the fires. We settled on a remote control version as it'll be much easier for her to operate due to her limited mobility. I didn't feel like she was being talked into buying an unnecessarily expensive model at all. So a big thanks to Mark and Tony for their help.

FAO Burning Curiosity Kendal Cumbria, Craig was true to his word when he informed us on our first visit to the showroom in Kendal that he would not be happy until we were happy with our purchase, and boy did he really mean what he said, yes we had a couple of hiccups along the way but Craig bent over backwards to solve then and did. We are the proud owners of a new electric fire and surround that is simply fantastic. Burning Curiosity say they make customer satisfaction their number one priority. and they certainly meet all of that commitment and go beyond the call of duty.

Loved the stove. Great people and friendly service.

We hired Phil to remove an old vintage wood burner, open up the covered fireplace and install a new wood burner with hearth. The quality of the job was excellent and the whole team were very courteous throughout their time in our house. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him.

We had a great experience working with Burning Curiosity. They helped us out during planning, buying and installation. Really went the extra mile to make sure our purchases worked once installed. We'll be using them for all future projects.
