Total rip off

Total rip off. If you want a business name go straight to registry Australia. These people also spam your emails to try and get you to register with them at an exorbitant fee! Beware

RESEARCH BEFORE USING

This company is an absolute scam. I am new to having my own business and I registered a business online. They convinced me to lodge it as a company just to make more money. It is now costing me over $500 to fix it. I used them because I am new to doing this and I did not want to make a mess of it. I could have made the mess myself and saved myself the money. They are terrible terrible to work with

Be very careful

The star is for the speed with which the business name was registered (and my payment taken). Trouble is that they registered the holder as an "unincorporated structure". The applicant for the business name was a corporate entity, in its capacity as a trustee. The fact that the applicant was applying in that capacity made no difference to the fact that the applicant was incorporated. All emails ignored. Lots of automatically-generated acknowledgements and advertising, but nothing substantial. And note: Their website says they'll respond within 48 "business" hours. What does that mean? When I complained through the chat on line, I was told how much businessnames.com.au would charge me to get the details changed. And businessnames.com.au entered their email address as the address for the service of documents, so that they received the 'corporate key' from ASIC. Without that key, I could not do anything about the registration details. I've just spent the whole morning on the phone to ASIC and on-line through ASIC Connect, fixing a mistake that businessnames.com.au made.

TOTAL RIP OFF

TOTAL RIP OFF!
BEWARE OF THE CHAMELOEN. They email you your Business Name Renewal with similar looking documentation as Registry Australia. The only difference is, Their rates. WOW BusinessName.com.au AKA Honcho!!!!!!!!! charges 3 times as much. Honcho charged me $199 for 1yrs compared to Registry Australia, $199 for 3 years. READ all posted reviews. I'm waiting for my refund. (which incurred a $43.85 admin fee) even though my Business name doesn't expire for another 10 days.

So pissed off right now SCAMMERS

UPDATE I asked for a full refund and they said they have done it so ill wait and see and change my review if they do.
So pissed off right now. I kept getting emails from this business to renew my business name. I've only registered it 3yrs ago so this is my 1st renewal so I renewed it for $299 for 3yrs. Then today I get an email from ASICS to renew my business name. I thought but I already had so I went in to see what happened and it's showing I still need to renew it and it's only $98 for 3yrs. From what I can tell this business puts it through to ASICS if so ive been ripped off $200.

Buyers beware

Buyers beware! This company will rip you off. ASIC charges $88.00 for a 3-year business name renewal. BusinessName.com. au charges $297.00 for the same service. I recommend you do business with ASIC and give this company a wide berth or you will be out-of-pocket by $209.00.

Very misleading company

Very misleading company. make it looks like a government website. when search with abn all details pop up. no mention of fees or whatever and when put in credit card details, was hoping to have the total it just say submit but instead it process the application with a quick small pop up sentence saying it is $299! I thought Asic price has gone up but think it was very unprofessional and saw the reviews that it is a scam.

Do not buy a business name from this company!!! They charge $290 for a business name that you can obtain from ASIC for $87. They also claim to issue the name within 3-5 business days which they have not yet done. They are happy to take your money but do not expect anything in return.

Do NOT use Businessnameregistry.org

I just realised that it costs $87 to register for 3 years and yet I have been charged $299. I saw these reviews an hours later after noticing the drastic price difference on ASIC. I was gobsmacked! Lesson learnt.
