Poor all around. In there last week and was able to order a caramel frappe with soy milk, today that’s not possible… so either they gave me dairy last week (that I’m highly allergic to) or, seeings as I didn’t have a reaction, the staff today are too lazy to make a basic drink… at a quiet period where there are 3 of them and 2 customers…

Won’t be back. Poor business practices laying off so many before Christmas, now this.

Disgusting way to handle the closure of stores and redundancies of so many staff with no notice whilst still employing in the days leading up to closures. Bakes over priced anyway and nothing special, poor selection.

Crazily overpriced for what it is, after the way they just closed all but 2 stores (no where near where they started up), leaving all the staff jobless with no notice I wouldn't go back in ever again..

A despicable business for how they have treated there staff! It’s not even worth it for a ‘non’ crispy crème doughnut! Crispy Crème wouldn’t have thrown human decency out the window in the way you have! Shocking!!

Absolutely shocking behaviour from Butterwick – closing down stores overnight without notice or pay, leaving over 60 members of staff abandoned. Many of these people now can’t afford their rent, and single mums have been forced to turn to food banks just to survive. The complete lack of care or responsibility shown is appalling – staff deserve so much better than this

Company is a fraud.
Shut down 90% if it's business with no notice and no back pay for it's staff, while glorifying 2 remaining stores under a different business account.
Owners should be prosecuted.

They don’t deserve your business. Go elsewhere. Selfish company. Selfish owners.

If I could give this company zero stars, I would. I find it disgusting how they treat their staff. Over worked and clearly underpaid given the circumstances. I find it disgraceful that Butterwick has prioritised reassuring customers about wedding cakes and loyalty points, yet failed to address the fact that their staff have not been paid their monthly wages. Your team members are the ones who built your business and kept it running, and to leave them without the pay they are owed while still making provisions for cakes is unacceptable. People’s rent and other monthly costs are on the line, but somehow a crusty cake seems more worth it. I’d say employees wages are far more urgent.

They have made all their staff redundant with absolutely no notice and have decided to keep just two stores opened. Leaving loads of people confused and jobless. Do not go here

Visited Oakley Vale today 2 pm. No customers just a member of staff sitting eating a subway and another behind the counter. Went in to pick up a couple of nice cakes. Hardly welcoming very dark inside. The selection of cakes was very limited most of them did not look there best, and the prices were a bit steep. £4 for a thin slice of lemon drizzle…… no thanks. Not my cup of tea or coffee!

We just wanted to say a huge thank you for creating the most stunning wedding cake for our special day. The three-tier design was absolutely perfect — elegant, beautifully crafted, and exactly what we had envisioned. Not only did it look incredible, but it tasted even better. We received so many compliments from our guests, with many saying it was one of the best wedding cakes they’d ever had!

Every detail was flawless, and it truly became a centrepiece of our celebration. You helped make our day feel even more magical, and we’re so grateful for your talent and care. We’ll be recommending you to everyone we know!

Lovely person served us, really helpful and chatted to us about the local area (as moving here soon). He made our first visit to Butterwick very enjoyable - Thankyou :-)

Went to the Oakley Vale Butterwicks whilst waiting for my daughter to take her theory test and was made to feel very welcome by the server there named James. Nothing was too much trouble and he was attentive and professional at all times, he also made a wicked cup of coffee 😀

Save your money seriously, I'd been going to butterwick for a very long time spending alot of money in here, and the changes are they have done are terrible, I used to buy the wagon wheel cookie alot, used to very very nice, then the quality started to go down they took it away and now recently have brought it back, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and honestly it is disgusting they claim its the old milk chocolate cookies and it is not it's shortbread and is absolutely tiny for a heavy price, I've read alot and alpt of people have said how this place has gone down hill and that the old back were the best, but the owners seems to have taken no notice at all, all there interested in is throwing shops up and forgetting about not only their products but their customers, seems to me they are also trying to cut cost but still charging the prices that they are, also when butterwick can around I felt they were very different with their products they are now just the same old as everywhere else and infact there worse

I love this bakery and usually go here for a weekly treat but the range since the latest update has been over priced and very underwhelming. I'll have to go elsewhere for treats for the time being. Shame.

Went in to visit the new store in Leicester. The staff seemed too engaged in other things to even give me their time. The lemon cheesecake doughnut was stale and not pleasant at all, the server wrapped it up so the topping came off trying to get to it. Milkshake was rubbish, just tasted sweet but no flavour at all. Did ask the server if she had any recommendations but it was clear she hadn’t even tried anything…
Wouldn’t recommend and I won’t be returning again.

Wanted to say how great the wedding cake was for my daughter’s day. It was amazing. Everyone said it was a great so tasty . A big thankyou

I loved this bakery when it first opened. But good things come to an end sadly.. The doughnuts have really gone downhill when you compare to the look and flavor from the beginning. I'd much rather pay more money and get an original, which I loved! Recently had my favourite homer doughnuts (from Kettering) but the look, taste and texture has changed dramatically. None of my family liked them now and compared them to a cheap supermarket doughnut. The customer service is not great either when you want to speak about any issues.. I always recommended this place, but won't be anymore sadly 🙁
