First impressions of delivery service
I don’t know what postal service Garmin uses, but I have had products costing less than €10 ship quicker from China to Ireland than one of Garmin flagship products takes to ship from the Netherlands. The watch has been languishing somewhere in UPS just 100km down the road for the past 3 days, I would expect expedited shipping for the cost of the product tbh and my first impressions of using the actual Garmin site are not good at all.
Good watches for sport, terrible for everything else
Watches are sturdy and do the job as a sport activity tracker. I'm disappointed in software though, looks dated and old. And Garmin can not add a simple feature to stop notifications coming to the watches when not wearing them, for 5 years people requesting it.
Absolute shocking service
Absolute shocking service - no replies/response, not able to get through via any medium, its not like their gear is cheap :(
i am still chasing an outstanding query since September 23, i gave up for a few months but then got cross and have tried again.......... am now more cross
Shocking, shocking, shocking!
Shocking, shocking, shocking. No products delivered, no refund received (or raised??), zero communication, zero cares given. Very quick to blame UPS but no personal responsibility taken, no effort made to offer any sort of customer service. Really wish I had read the reviews on here before committing my hard earned cash.
Poor online ordering experience
Ordered two watch straps worth £175 on the Garmin website on February 20th. One was due to shipped in 2-3 days, the other within an expected shipping time of two weeks. Having heard nothing on either, I called Customer Services and was told that neither was in stock and wouldn't be in stock until the start of April despite both being advertised as available when the order was placed.
Shocking bad
Shocking bad. 700 pound watch broke after 2 months. Eventually got told to send it back. I rang up and was told it was lost so I have to send of information of proof of it being sent. I sent everything I have to now to be told it’s now okay and I am over the 120 days of view tracking on a parcel.
Worst customer service ever!
Garmin Iberia. Worst customer support I have ever experienced. The delays in response are incredible and the information poor. The guessing service they have with regard to a service issue is to charge €136!!! Just for a new battery!!! Sent the watch and the delivery was refused by their head office. The watch has now been 'lost' in the post so i will never see it again. So weeks later, terrible service and a lost watch. NEVER buy Garmin. Will be buying another brand because there's no way I'm spending a single Euro with these rip off artists.
Better support that recent reviews suggest
I am a little surprised at recent reviews of Garmin. Although I was given the wrong information by them as to what fitness tracker to buy, they sorted my problem out and replaced it with one that suited my purposes without any problem at all.
Diabolical Customer Support
Support gave me the runaround.
I was told I could send back my product for replacement. Shipped it via UPS and was then emailed to be told I'd sent the wrong product.
I hadn't - Garmin support had messed up and done the return for another product on my account, despite the serial number, images, model and description given being about the product I sent.
I was then told, "The wrong product was shipped." No apology, no admission of fault. They ignored all evidence provided that it was THEIR mistake.
I have spent thousands on Garmin devices (Fenix 7X, GPS, smart scales, etc), but after this experience, I will be looking for alternative companies that care about their customers.
I have a truck nav lgv710… absolute bag…
I have a truck nav lgv710… absolute bag of cr#p… spent over £500 on it… do not buy one!!!!!. Has no idea how to guild you round London!!. Come up with “can’t calculate “…. Then give you wrong locations… not worth the bother.
No support at all, tell you “it should work”… go through all there guild lines and after wasting an hour, I gave up … DONT BUY ONE, total waste of money…
Extremely unreliable software and…
Extremely unreliable software and connection between device and mobile phone, wont wotk without internet and BT. It loses device in setup forcing you to waste A A LOT OF TIME just setting up device and syncing with the app. Been using it for years enough is enough, not worth the nusiance, money nor time.
Garmin customer services - you need to know before you buy
Well, I'm still waiting for a response to several emails as to what is happening to my Fenix 6 that I've sent them mid-December for a faulty display. This started around 3 months ago when I noticed what appears to be a fracture line in the internal display. Contacting Garmin and explaining that what I observed looks most likely to be an internal fault (i.e. inside the case), their response was that it was cosmetic and therefore not covered by their warranty. Appealing several times, they persisted to respond that the problem was "cosmetic", and they eventually closed the case. Following a customer satisfaction follow-up (I gave 1 out of 5 in each category), they then requested that I returned my watch for inspection, and this is where I am now. Garmin state that I should receive a decision within 5 days of them receiving the watch as to whether it would be covered for repair/replacement under warranty. After several follow-up enquiries, Garmin have yet to respond. This case continues...
My experiences with Garmin UK
My experiences with Garmin UK, have always been extraordinarily excellent. They deal with issues promptly and always professionally. I have a Garmin watch and a HR Heart monitor belt, although I've had the odd issue they have continually surpassed my customer satisfaction experience. I was previously using Fitbits, which IMO were just not fit for purpose! I made the switch about 4 years ago. I'm a Garmin fan for life.
Well done to the UK Team.
Do Not buy anything directly from…
Do Not buy anything directly from Garmin. A month later i'm waiting for my device to be delivered for a cycling holiday and it looks like it's not going to arrive in time. Numerous phone calls makes no difference. Appalling customer service.
Good products until software bugs. Customer service abysmal.
Had my fenix 6 Pro for a couple of years. Great watch and enjoy alot of the features. The immense frustration is despite spending £600 on a watch, the software updates they release on occassion have bugs, showing they dont test the software before releasing. First one did not allow me to view animated workouts. The second is more recent and has changed suggested workouts to show every day as a rest day. With both issues, I've contacted garmin support, both occasions they were absolutely useless. Didn't offer up and meaningful resolutions, appeared more interested in trying to fob me off rather then resolve the issue for a customer who'd spent alot of money on various products with them. The customer service with the issue a couple of years ago and this month on both occasions was terrible.
The products are good but with with emergence of whoop and other brands, the customer service garmin offer is what is going to eventually turn so many customers elsewhere. Shame garmin can't see that and don't seem to care about its customers. As demonstrated on trust pilot reviews where they don't have the decency to reply or offer solutions.
Had problem with my garmin striker 9
Had problem with my garmin striker 9 - goes blank after software update so i have phoned customer service and they offer under warranty replacement straightaway( they checked unit was still cover by 2 warranty)
They crete a ticket for that free label to post to them and after 6 days i got unit back to me
No cost, nor problems
Higly recommended
Thank you
I’d give zero stars if possible
I’d give zero stars if possible. The people I have spoke to have been very nice and baby fault their pleasantness and concern. But it’s the product that’s the problem. I bought 3 new Garmin 4 vivofit. Problems with all of them. I definitely got 1 new as I got the charger but I didn’t get 3 chargers. They send you refurbished watches. I recently sent back a faulty watch (got to the point where the screen didn’t display and they sent out another one. Someone else’s faulty watch that they refurbished- so that lasted 2 days and the screen was totally dead. How was that helpful. Just another bag to send it back and another wasted phone call. Why send someone with a faulty watch someone else’s faulty watch. Rude !!!!
Appalling service, avoid at all costs
I had high hopes when Garmin offered to exchange my faulty watch - sadly this is where the good experience ends. I returned my faulty watch, Garmin recieved it on 10th Nov and said a replacement would be sent in the next few days. Two weeks go by - no watch. So I email them a few times and recieve the same standard 'It will be sent in a few days'. Eventually I get fed up and phone them only to be told the watch is out of stock with no expected restock date and that nothing can be done. My phone gets disconnected when I ask to speak to a manager. After various email back and forth, I agree to accepting the same watch but in a different colour as it's in stock. Again, I'm told it will be sent in a few days. 6 weeks have now gone by and it still hasn't been replaced... I'm at a total loss as to what to do now. Garmin are beyond useless, I have no clue as to why it's so hard to send me a replacement watch.
Just stick to making things …not selling them!
My order (lily sport)went missing and it took Garmin 8 or 9 days to finally update me and then issue a refund as my item is no longer in stock???? and now have got to purchase it from another retailer at a higher price. Very poor experience and as a longtime Garmin user I would have expected better. Yes, UPS messed up but I was made to wait too long for a resolution and has ended up costing me more money! And now a refund will take 7-10 days. They should give up on e-commerce, allow retailers to do a better job and just stick to what they do best..
Worst customer support ever
Worst customer support ever. I have bough a Epix Pro from them 1k and after 5 weeks of waiting they don't know where my watch is! Don't waist your money and time with them! Talked to more than 15 people and no-one knows how to solve this issue!
