Seemed friendly to deal with but it was a shame about the tardy customer service when things went wrong.
My wife bought me an antique finish tankard for Christmas. I noticed small lump in the solder inside the base and thought nothing of it until within a couple of days of starting to use it a rust spot appeared there, which I cleaned but it reappeared overnight.
As requested on the website I sent a photo in and got a reply expressing surprise and saying they'd show it to the workshop. After week I emailed again and was told to use the free returns service.
Heard nothing for 10 days after posting so I emailed again to get a reply saying they were waiting for a response from the workshop.
I decided this was enough, pointed out I was entitled to a replacement or refund under consumer law and it was up to them to take it up with their supplier after that.
OK, next day they replied that a replacement would be sent that day, but that was 3 weeks after my first email when the tankard was faulty. I finally got my Christmas tankard, sent direct from the manufacturer, on January 23 and, to my eye, it looked better finished than the original.

I found the website good, with the filters helping me to see only pewter tankards with glass bottoms, and detail around dimensions and weight clear.
There were some questions I had, and these were responded to quickly, and the tankards themselves delivered just a day after I submitted the order.
They look exactly how I’d imagined.
So I’d recommend to anyone.

31/01/2023. As soon as the tankard arrived, I opened it however, the tankard was covered in finger prints and secondly, it was absolutely filthy inside. Given this is something that will be used to drink out of, this is completely unacceptable, and lastly the bottom of the tankard look like it’s been scrubbed/scratched and I expected it to be smooth like the rest of the tankard. What is even more concerning is the disgusting responses to my subsequent emails outlining the issues from the owner David Pryke. His attitude is abhorrent and clearly is unwilling/incapable to take developmental feedback, he is sarcastic and unprofessional furthermore, to date he's made no offer of recompense for these horrendous issues. I expect more and he delivered considerably less on not just his product but the way he does business. He's very quick to respond to queries before you order but it seems that he doesn't respond quite as quickly to post-delivery issues. Do not consider using this company unless you're happy to buy a product which is filthy on the inside and covered in fingerprints on the outside but more so, do not do business with David as his attitude is completely unprofessional, disrespectful and disgusting. If I could have given him no stars, please be assured I would have.

I have to say after 10 years online this is one of the most difficult interactions I have had to deal with. The tankard was passed by the QA department of a major UK workshop and then inspected by us before engraving and shipment. The tankard design itself we sell dozens of each year with no similar feedback. We do try hard and have a 30% customer return rate which is amazing for a company that provides mostly one off gifts. I have literally hundreds of emails from customers thanking me for great customer service. When things do go wrong we do our best to put them right and promptly. I guess you can't win them all.

He did absolutely NOTHING to try and put this right furthermore, his "can't win them all" is an amateurish and extremely churlish response, I hope people read this and understand who you're dealing with. His attempted response to diffuse the situation just shows how unprofessional he is and failed enormously!

I ordered a one pint X-Range Wortley Brass Trim Pewter Tankard, with engraving, for my son's Graduation and a wooden presentation box. I was absolutely thrilled with the product when it arrived and the wooden box was well worth the extra money. Would highly recommend this company and its products.

I think the engraving is beautiful work, as to the tankards, I ordered from Europe knowing the class of pewter to be way above America's, However, all I got was a tin cup. Truly disappointed and to top it off, the sigals are barely holding on with the glue that was used. These were supposed to be grooms gifts, but it actually seems i just threw over $600 out the window. Delivery from when order was placed and arrival was incredibly fast on the plus side!

From the first contact to the delivery of the tankards the service standard was exceptional.
Sales, service, engraphers, artwork, all of them - super impressive

I ordered a plain pint-size pewter tankard with text engraving. The tankard arrived wrapped in polyethylene foam, contained in a small black cardboard box (I did not opt for the gift box option). Customer service was very responsive (even at 19:00). I would definitely use this service again, if in need.

I've been buying tankards for around 15 years from this company. their service is super, their work is great ... but now sadly I must go elsewhere.

Their tankards feel so light and flimsy. They claim their supply has not changed but their weights are down 20% ... weight of their tankards (simple double lined solid base)
newest tankard = 260g
old tankard = 320g
old glass bottom tankard = 380g

their replies have been short and unsatisfactory, hence my decision

I received the tankard and was impressed with the way it was presented as it was a gift for Father’s Day. However, I was disappointed to find the seal around the glass coming away after only a month. I contacted the company to express my disappointment and I did not even get a response or apology and so this review reflects the bad customer service I have received since my purchase.
This product can no longer be used as I worry the glass bottom will fall out. It was not cheap and yet it’s fallen apart so quickly. I would not use this company again.

After spending considerable time and effort trying to find a decent business online from which to buy a glass tankard gift - I am SO GLAD I took a chance on Buy A Tankard! I wanted a personalised picture logo engraved and so made a preliminary enquiry via email. From their first reply to the finished product arriving in the post - Buy A Tankard WERE EXCELLENT. All my email questions/enquiries were answered (even in their busy run up to Christmas) and the finished product (Glass Tankard with personalised logo engraved) was great. It has become a much loved and much used gift. I have no doubt I will employ Buy A Tankard again and if you are looking for this type of product - Buy A Tankard will be all you'll ever need. Arrived in 2 days, artwork is perfect, packaging box is presentable and sturdy.

my partner was looking for a tankard, as every time i bought him a pint glass he's always break it, being clumsy, so he was looking for a tankard and came across this site, so purchased this for his Christmas present, and i love it, and i know he will too. will definitely recommend.

I ordered a tankard and it looks great

Pros:
1. Great looking tankard, makes me feel like a proper dwarf when drinking.
2. Had runes inscriped. They look amazing. Makes me feel a little less like a dwarf cause i cant really read them.
3. Doesn't leak. Although i did after having filled and emptied it enough times...

Cons:
1. Micro scratches can be seen if you take a microscope and start searching for them.
2, Shipment to Denmark was so fast, i didn't even have any time to make a complaint.
3. I cant find a third thing to complain about...

Great product. Loving it so far. And they were really helpful when i asked for help.

I am quite a discerning customer, and buying a tankard on line I was nervous we would get something light weight and poor quality, however after trawling around Guildford we could not find one so as a last resort ordered online. Well firstly I want to say how delighted I am with the tankard that arrived today. A present for my nephew and its the Kings shilling model in antique finish. Looks stunning and the engraving is spot on and has a nice heavy feel. It was posted out double quick time and I am really delighted. Thank you

Excellent from start to finish. Very helpful on line chat service which sorted out sone questions I had quickly. Super fast delivery and a great product.

I price-shopped and this company offered the same tankard designs for as much as 50% less than some other companies.
The ordering was easy. The communication was right on and timely.
The shipping was quick and efficient.
I was pleasantly surprised at the whole process and exceptionally pleased with the tankard.
