The process is legitimate and they do pay you for your phone. Beforehand though, I reviewed my iPhone with an ATT rep, and they told me my phone was worth at least 600$ (not including other sellers quotes, trade-in 700$, etc.) plus the phone was in great condition. Anyway, I got a shipping label, and ultimately, sent off my phone to them. Later, I got an email from BuyBack Surgeons Rep indicating that my phone was not mint (which i understand- it's not new) but it was in great shape, 512GB and no scratches. Anyway, then they proceeded with offering me $405, not 495$ per their assessment (used, not mint). I accepted the lowball offer since I didn't want to fuzz with having them send it back to me. All in all, I would suggest to any seller to be patient and sell your phone on your own, locally if you can.

So, T-Mobile finally tells me I have to return my old phone two full weeks after I get my new phone. The problem? I've already mailed it to Sarah at Buyback Surgeon after they gave me a better offer for it than anyone else. Realizing I'm an idiot, I scramble to get in touch with Sarah, calling and sending an email in a near-panic. But it's no worry at all. Sarah takes care of it for me. I offer to Paypal them for return postage and, like it's no problem, Sarah has my phone turned around and sent back to me in a flash. I can only imagine how busy they are without having to deal with my problem, but Sarah was amazing, patient and very kind. Honestly, these days this kind of amazing customer service is hard to find, which makes it all the more important to me that I leave this review to let everyone know that Buyback Surgeon is an absolutely fantastic company to do business with. I am eternally grateful to Sarah for helping me out after my stupid mistake. Thank you so much, Sarah!

I was a little nervous about the process of selling my phones to an online buyer but the Buyback team made this easy and painless. If I ever need to sell any other phones or electronic devices will use them again.

The people at BuyBack Surgeon were AMAZING! Sarah in customer service was extremely quick to email back, answering questions or making the process of selling my old phone easier.

I originally sent my iPhone 8 Plus to them hoping to get a few bucks back because the front and back screen were damaged and ended up getting $50 for it! I then talked to them about my other old phone, an iPhone 11, and Sarah told me I could get more than double that for it if I sent it in.
Probably the best part of the customer service was being able to Venmo me the payout for the iPhone 8 rather than PayPal. This was way easier because funds aren’t held for any extended period of time! I also got the payment the day after the phone arrived in PA which was super quick. Made my life way easier with them being so accommodating.
I will definitely be sending other old phones their way when the time comes. Highly recommend checking them out, they’re good people!

I was looking to sell my iPhone 8 and selected Buyback Surgeon after reading all the positive reviews. I had a great experience! They were in contact with me shortly after mailing my phone to them and made me an offer. My phone needed to be wiped and they walked me thru that as well. In less than a week, I received the check for my phone.

offered a great price, highest on the market at the time for my device. emailed me right away with some issues concerning my device and those issues got dealt with right away. recieving payment took some time however that seems to of been on paypals side not Buyback's

This is my first time selling a brand new iPhone online. It was quite daunting to send my iPhone to a total stranger with whom I never met, especially before I got paid. Buyback Surgeon turned this into a very pleasant experience. I found Buyback Surgeon via Flipsy (another pleasant company to deal with), followed the instructions and got my check in the mail about 2 weeks after I shipped my phone.

I shipped my phone on a Monday, and the phone arrived at Buyback Surgeon address (they provided a USPS label free of charge) on Thursday. Buyback Surgeon started to check my phone next Monday and a check was cut Wednesday. It took about 5 days for the check to arrive.

Buyback Surgeon has a progress tracker on its website once you are registered. Do not rely on this update - Just wait for their email (check your spam folder because this was where I found their email). Be patient. Also, sending them email is the best way to reach them and get a response (same for Flipsy).
