The estimation for the shipping fee is not accurate at all. On one of my packages, the estimation was 9836 yen, and the actual fee was 16,000. I am never using this again if the shipping is going to be so outrageously expensive compared to what I expect it to be.

Edit: In response to Buyee, I double checked with the dimensions and weight that you used and got the same results with the shipping fee estimation. I also used ECMS for both the estimation and actual shipment.

Their service is poor an their coupons are mostly fake. You bid on an item saying you will get a discount on payment but most of the time they dont work and they will never correct this when you contact them. Even if you pay extra for their insurance they actually wont cover things like watches or electronics if they arrive non functioning.

They responded to my messages quickly and pretty comprehensively, yet the problem is such: I asked Buyee to contact the seller for them to include the box of the collectible (which the seller provided an option to and Buyee said they'd do it), but when I received the package there was no box, neither a little card that went along with the toy — so that's pretty sad.

Still, the shipping costs and fees were alright — not too high, and their response time was solid, just like the shipping time itself... but they still didn't fully fulfill my order (of 1 item)

I've been using Buyee for many, many years now and purchased and shipped a lot of parcels to my various addresses over time. What has been particularly useful is buying from websites who only do local shipping within Japan, and don't have options to ship internationally. Buyee has its quirks (the browser extension took me a while to wrap my head around, and some sellers you simply cannot buy from), but it's generally quite simple to use and straighforward, and I like the customisation of fee options; plus the amount of shipping options available (from cheap to expensive depending on your timeline). They are generally very prompt with their service, including consolidation of your parcels to send to your country - during covid they extended free storage periods due to the uncertainty of the shipping situation at the time which was hugely appreciated. Finally, I personally like that I can just pay for each item separately with the exact amount, rather than needing to 'load up' a wallet held in my account like some other websites. Some people complain that the Buyee fees are higher than other places, but to be honest I think it all balances out in the end.

I placed an order on Mercari through Buyee and provided a delivery address in Japan (ordering directly from Mercari requires a Japanese phone number, which I don’t have). After I paid for the order, however, it turned out that I could only have it shipped outside Japan, so I had to cancel the delivery, but still had to pay for the product.

When Buyee only ships to addresses outside Japan, it doesn't make any sense to accept a Japanese delivery address in the first place.

Deliver insurance policy needs to be clearly upfront when customers decide delivery options. It looks like I’ve lost 280000yen item.

Buyee is the most simple and reliable way to buy goods from different Japanese web sites and get them shipped fast and securely packaged to Europe. It is really first class service and easily worth the fees.

Many auctions are blocked for silly reasons. Customer support is usually unhelpful when it comes to unblocking.

I FOUND IT DIFIICULT TO DETERMINE SHIPPING COSTS AND METHODS. IT WAS CONFUSING TO SEE DIFFERENT CHARGES AND DIFFERENT METHODS OF SHIPPING. A RUNNING ITEMIZED TOTAL WITH DIFFERENT SHIPPING OPTIONS WOULD BE HELPFUL. MY SHIPPING WAS A SURPRISE AT THE COST
