Cheap Junk Lying/Deceptive Terrible Customer Service
I bought the iPhone MagFilters (16+17) case expecting a premium, “creator-ready” setup. The product page describes “Strong MagSafe Compatibility” that ensures a “firm and reliable magnetic connection” and is “engineered for everyday use.”
In my experience, it does not perform that way. The magnets feel weak and the filter detaches too easily to be “on-the-go” or pocket-safe. For the price (the product page lists BS$83.00), the build quality felt closer to low-cost marketplace/“TEMU-level” quality than a premium accessory.
The advertising is also, in my opinion, misleading because it sets the expectation of a robust magnetic system suitable for everyday carry, yet the real-world retention simply wasn’t there for me.
Customer service (Mika) was the worst part. When I requested a return, I was told—after the sale—that because the order was “international,” a return would involve international shipping burdens and that they would not provide a refund or prepaid label. However, on the site’s FAQ/Policy page, the published guidance focuses on refunds/returns for defective/damaged/incorrect items (and mentions an EU withdrawal window), and it does not clearly disclose at the point of sale that returns would require international shipping, duties, customs clearance, or heightened loss risks.
F.A.Q. & POLICY – Byron Seven
Instead of acknowledging the gap between the marketing claims and the product’s performance, the response felt scripted and dismissive, repeatedly asserting the product “matches the intended design” and refusing a reasonable return/refund resolution.
Bottom line: overpriced for the quality, marketing that overpromises on magnetic reliability, and customer service that hides behind policy language while introducing major return burdens only after you complain. I would not recommend buying unless you are comfortable potentially being stuck with it.
