I have been utilizing STORED during my three years of college to store my stuff during the study and I have consistently had a smooth and positive involvement in them. The conveyance individuals are in every case regularly, assisting me with moving my crates. Specifically, I was not at my loft when my crates showed up and they hung tight for me to return, they even conveyed my containers the whole way to my condo even though I had not paid for the additional charge (I had just paid for the cases to be left on the ground floor). I would suggest it.

No issues with them picking up my items however when I’ve gone to have my items given back to me that’s another story.
Extortionate prices, three weeks notice to get my stuff back, £169 if I didn’t. Ended up paying £109 for another month of storage I don’t want or need and then £29 to have it back to me (and the inconvenience of not having my stuff I need in my new home).
I even said I would pick it up but they said they don’t have access to their own storage units!?
Haven’t had my items yet but I’m not hopeful that it will all go smoothly. I don’t mind paying for services but it’s the small print added extras that really bug me.
The man at the end of the phone was also rude, unhelpful and actually laughed when I said the prices are far too high. Reading through the reviews all the good ones are when they pick up and it’s a different story when you arrange to have them returned. I’m very worried about any loss or damage to my items as I can see there is a trend looking at the reviews on here.
No idea how they have a high rating. Appalling - and I think the worst is yet to come.

Water damage, missing furniture, awful experience
Apart from the lovely pick up/delivery staff and the bonus of not having to transport the items to storage myself (which is why I initially went with them as opposed to cheaper alternatives), my experience with ByStored was awful and I wish I had never used them.
I had items stored for 4 months while I was out of the country and the issues started when I requested them back.
Firstly, they "advertise" delivery as £29 but when you go to schedule this the price is actually much higher (£169) if you don't want to wait 1 month to get it back. Misleading, but typical corporate move.
I received a call 3 hours before my items were meant to be delivered saying they weren't going to make it because the drivers were exposed to someone who tested positive for Covid. Fair enough - safety first. But there are no alternative drivers to do the delivery, in all of London, 2 years into dealing with the pandemic mishaps? I had to wait an extra 5 days to get my items back meanwhile having to pay for a last minute hotel because I had nothing in my flat.
Now, the worst part, was the condition of the items when they were returned.
To name a few:
- they lost my (massive) cabinet and 3 weeks on, I'm still emailing customer service to chase this and I keep getting the response "it was returned with all your items". I think I would know if I had my cabinet back and I no, I don't.
- there was water damage in my storage unit or on transporting my things - not sure - just know this because:
1) my sofa has a huge water mark which is now permanent
2) two of my cardboard boxes were falling apart due to water and the clothes/fabrics inside were completely mouldy and had to be immediately disposed of
3) other boxes had less water damage and I was able to salvage the mouldy clothes
4) my wooden dinning table and bench both have water damage on the legs which has basically rotten the wood
The response from Stored about this damage and me submitting all the evidence for some compensation claim was:
"because you didn't hire us to pack your items for you, you are not covered by insurance or eligible for compensation. Out of good will we will refund you £50."
Simply unacceptable and disappointing to have spent over £800 in what is advertised as a premium storage service and come out with over £1,500 in damage and still a missing furniture item.

Bad packaging service and poor delivery service
I booked a package service two years ago when I wasn't at home. After I received the package, I found that I only had belt bag without LV belt, and all the seasonings were packed in the suitcase instead of putting the clothes in it, resulting in the damage of the seasoning bottle and the whole suitcase can no longer be used.

Little transparency and poor customer service
Unable to call up the office on many occasions. Pick up was scheduled from 12 - 6 but the collection was much later in the evening.
Took boxes out of storage but had to pay extra for forgoing promised time, this was not made explicit in the initial booking. We had assumed that it was a rolling subscription.
Very costly to pay for delivery outside zone 1 - 3 in London, no flexibility regarding this. More flexibility should be given esp if people are using the storage company for relocating within and outside London.
The company offered compensation for certain issues that were raised above. We sincerely hope that other customers do not experience the same level of service in the future.
Were able to deliver last-minute urgent requests
Despite some difficulties with communication at first, the team was ready to accommodate my last-minute urgent situation and was also able to carry out the task without me being there- through video call!

Run away
Booking this service, having meticulously packed my furniture, it was returned broken beyond repair and I think someone peed on my mattress. When raising this to customer support I was told that if they don’t pack the items they take now responsibility for damage or loss. I’d think it was funny had it not been at the expense of vintage furniture and a previously impeccable mattress. Probably the worst service you can find.

Unhelpful & Unreliable. Avoid!
Extremly unfriendfly customer service, if you confront them with an issue, the only thing they do is ignore your calls and emails or tell you to call the next day.
They 'forgot' my pick-up back in June, which caused me massive trouble with moving out, and they didn't seem to care at all, again ignoring calls and just telling you to be 'patient', even if you paid money for the boxes to be picked up at a specific date and time.
I really recommend avoiding this service, no idea how their rating is so good, which I trusted, but clearly, a service run by two guys behind the desk and 2 drivers which just doesn't work out at all.

Amazing service! I was out of the country during covid and needed to move my belongings and STORED packed and organized all of it in an impressive amount of time. Got them all back, after a year and a half of them being stored, in the same state I left them. Would 100% recommend them, very helpful and always happy to answer any query!
