I booked a ride for my wife and toddler through Cabhit and the service was unsafe and very stressful and not at all what we expected.

The driver seemed unable to drive with due care and attention, almost crashing 3 times.

The number sent through for driver contact didn't work - apparently they weren't a taxi driver.

Nobody met my wife in arrivals (why I booked through Cabhit) - and then they spent half an hour trying to find each other - after a transatlantic flight with a toddler+ bags you can see how this wasn't ideal and not what I paid for.

The car was different from what was mentioned in the driver allocation email.

The driver also then demanded payment for parking. All in all a very unsafe and not at all what we expected.

When we complained they made up information (no idea why!?) The response from Sinclair Cars is aberrant, misogynistic and just plain false. This is a safety issue and one that should be taken seriously. They've completely ignored my wife's complaint.

Terrible service and customer care. We booked a return service to Heathrow Airport with a car seat for a toddler and on our outward journey the car seat lock was faulty.

On return journey the driver arrived and called us as we landed to say he was there, but then refused to take us home unless we paid a waiting charge, even though we provided flight details. He was also at the wrong terminal.

The car seat was also incorrectly attached and the driver got rather frustrated that we didn’t want to leave until we correctly installed it.

Cabhit customer care team couldn’t initially be contacted so we had no choice but to pay the £20.

We believed we were booking a 10 star rating cab firm but the cab that arrived had nothing to do with the company we had booked.

Cabhit offered zero assistance and took zero responsibility, they just referred me to the cab firm.

I would recommend you book with the cab firm directly as you will save money by cutting out the middle man (Cabhit) who offered zero assistance.

I enjoyed my minicab riding to Heathrow Airport. It was a clean and comfortable car and the driver was very professional and helpful. Will use Cabhit again.

It is very easy to book taxi with them. We got booking confirmation on email timely. Driver arrived on time. Moreover, Cabhit team were very helpful in sorting out our problem with pricing of a larger car due to COVID issues.

I ordered car from Cabhit because they were the only provider i can find last minute that was offering a car with infant baby seat. Cost was much higher than others.
This was the horror took place. I felt awful especially i was travelling with my very small baby.

- The child seat wasn't appropriate for the age group. (I requested <1 year infant seat, but the seat provided was older)

- The cab company is booking the jobs with too tight schedule. There were so many calls from the next customer to the driver which distracted and stressed the driver. The driver ended up hitting something minor on the side

- Although my job was confirmed with A and M cars, the actual service was provided by Sky Cars. 

- The driver demanded extra money for being late during the journey. (I arrived 20min late due to luggage issue in the airport). I had to agree as I was seriously scared of adding extra stress to the driver for the own safety

And fyi this is the written reply from cabhit.

"seat is not compulsory for Minicabs in London. Any customer can travel with out baby seat" and a long email with blaming me for saying nonsense.

Never again.

I'm a producer from New York who has a 1 year old son. I never ever write reviews as I just don't have the time. In this instance I'm compelled to write a review to WARN OFF ANY FUTURE CUSTOMERS. I booked a week prior to my flight as I have a 1 year old baby and needed a car seat and was travelling alone with no phone service as my american number does not work in the UK. I even sent a reminder email asking them to meet me in arrivals as I would not have a phone! Everything was prepaid. Upon arrival NO ONE was there to meet me and my baby. I tried to call customer service on skype but they do not accept no caller id so I had to ask a stranger to use their phone. When I rang I was met with the most abuse ever. The cab company that Cabhit employ, after I told them this was poor service, proceeded to abuse me and told me if I was going to complain he was going to cancel my booking as "i had no idea how busy they were' then he hung up!! Stranded and fighting off tears as the company I had already paid for was so horrendous I was forced to pay more money and illegally carry my baby in the backseat of a private taxi company to take me and my baby to our hotel. Upon arrival at the hotel I immediately rang Cabhit and they started arguing with me about what the taxi company said happened!! Never have I been in more disbelief. I'm a mother travelling alone with a child and I apparently cancelled the only safe and legal way of transporting my baby to the hotel at an extra cost. It's insane and completely ludicrous but I have given up trying to may sense with anyone that works at Cabhit or the taxi company they employ. I emailed them and all they did was forward my email to the cab company that cancelled on me. ABSOLUTELY INSANE!! Quite frankly this is not worth my time so I have been driven to write this complaint. More to follow!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!! THEY ALSO REFUSED TO REFUND ME. I don't even care about the lost money i just want this business shut down for the fraud they are!!
