Never have dairy free spread for the vegan teacake,( why not ) and cutlery is always dirty in every Nero I've been in.
No free stamps on your loyalty card or Nero app at Chelmsford
If you want to collect free stamps on your loyalty cards or Nero app, the Chelmsford branch don't do them anymore, which is a shame, because I used to like going there and getting my free stamps. Costa opposite does, as does the Starbucks in the High Chelmer shopping precinct, and some of the other coffee chains around the city.
Lovely customer service
Had a wonderful day at the Oxford street store branch recently. Was visiting family the other week & stopped by and was served by the lovely Ahmed I think I remember his name was. So nice, such a warm and lovely presence in store! Deffo recommend anyone to visit!!
A free coffee code
My energy supplier Octopus gives away coffee codes every week for Greggs and Café Nero. I usually have a Greggs code because I don't live near a Café Nero. This month I was going to Lincoln with my wife to have her hair done and as fortune would have it there was a Café Nero nearby for me to sit in, so I got a Café Nero code. At first I thought that the company was generous because the code entitled me to any coffee- so I asked for a large Cappuccino. Now it all comes down to the definition of large. The staff were very nice and the coffee was palatable but the quantity was very disappointing. It was just a normal cup's worth - I'd hate to see the small cup. I bought a second cup while I had to sit in there so my free and paid for cups gave me a sort of half price offer but I would not buy again at full price - the quantity was, not to mince words, mean!
Awful experience
Visited the Cafe Nero in Durham whilst visiting family, awful experience. The staff were very rude, no please or thankyou and when I took some cash from my purse The man serving me just barked "card only!" There were four of us and the place was full but there were some stairs with no barrier or sign so I presumed there was an upstairs, like the one in Leeds,we had four drinks and food to sit in but when we made our way to the stairs, again the man shouted "staff only!!", If I hadn't been with family I think I would have shouted back at him, we spent the entire visit stood in a corner juggling our drinks. AVOID this place, worst cafe I have ever visited.

Awful experience in Bexleyheath
The staff was extremely noisy banging plates and trewing cutleries to wash. Awful atmosphere. I waited more than 15 minutes for a coffee, croissant, and cake, but I decided just to buy croissants and coffe because of the noise and dirty tables. The croissant was cold! They asked me what I want but in the same time they made coffee and other things for the client before me. Absolutely nonsense to ask me of they are occupied. When they made my coffee and food they started to talk to the next client and I was waiting all this process. No need to spend time with all this haotic customer service. Jist start and finish! Everything happened in very nervous and noisy environment. Awful place! After that, it was appalling trying to find a clean space to sit. On the table where I sat I saw empty medicine's boxes and rubbish. The toilet was the most horribly and awfully dirty place I have ever seen in my life. The paper had spots on it. Extremely disappointed. I wouldn't spend even a penny there. I am disappointed to have spend money there!
I have picture!

Claimed voucher for 2 complimentary coffee valid until mid of July, it sudden disappeared from the App without notice and record. Sent message to support team for more than 48 hours but no reply and update.
Nice coffee..
Nice coffee... but..
Staff talking amongst themselves while serving.
Then after I'd just sat down, a guy cleaning seemed to delight hanging round me with a broom and pile of rubbish. Then he asked me to move so he could sweep!!! This hadn't been done to other people seated. When I explained that I came in to relax, he said, quote, 'that's alright' in a loud voice as if I was unreasonable.
You don't expect to get shoe horned out of your seat. I bet this wouldn't have happened if I wasn't on my own.
Ferensway Hull on Good Friday 2025 at around 5.30pm
Stratford Westfield
Stratford Westfield. Waited nearly 10 mins for the poor guy to figure out my oat milk chai. He served the lady behind me first cos he got my order wrong. Nearly £5 for that cup of chai and it tasted worse than mediocre when I got it. Asked for a toilet afterwards and the lady serving turned her back on me and told me I have to use the toilets in the shopping centre. What a care-less establishment.

The coffee was very nice but the cafe was dirty and needed updating ( Berwick upon Tweed).
I had an issue at T5 departure outlet
I had an issue at T5 departure outlet. I wrote to Cafe Nero customer service, five times. Never got a response.
No more CN for me.
Tooting Nero half measures.
Tooting Nero.
Paid for a large hot chocolate which costs almost £5. Given half a cup of the actual hot chocolate drink with half a cup of froth on the top. I don’t pay almost £5 for a cup of froth. Drink was just warm when served. Disappointing and a waste of money.
We visited caffe nero in clitheroe
We visited caffe nero in clitheroe. I went to order no one waiting, there were 3 staff, one making coffees one not sure what they were doing one young man was dashing about behind the counter he had a trainee barista tshirt on.
I was not greeted by any 1 of them, finally I was asked are you wanting to order ? I ordered 2 flat white was asked which coffee I would like choice of 2 no mention of price i asked for the standard as I know you pay more for columbian.
The young man was not very presentable his hair was a mess like he just got up, surely if he is training customer service is part but as the others don't have it he has no chance. I won't visit this one again.
Lazy uncaring atmosphere
This is the branch at Twickenham! Normally my experience with the various branches that I have visited have been mostly positive. Coffee always tastes good.
On mid morning Monday, I was in the area so I thought I’d pop in. Not many people in there . 3 I think. I am not young, and have a slight eye condition . I am always polite.
When I approached the counter, I could tell the barista did not like the look of me. Too busy chatting to his female colleague. Asked if I want chocolate on my cappuccino. He forgot a few seconds later and asked again! Did he not like my age /colour/ condition? Anyway I town ,had coffee. I then thanked them as I left . The female mumbled something. Awful shop . Unfriendly staff ! The world is an unfriendly place these days, and maybe that’s where I don’t fit into that environment. Not young or trendy enough I guess . I’m not setting foot in there again!
My husband & I visit Cafe Nero…
My husband & I visit Cafe Nero frequently in Eastbourne . I Just like to give the feedback of the staff & coffee. The staffs are very friendly, hardworking & efficient as I observed especially the guy called Jo the manager of the coffee shop. Very pleasant, helpful & efficient . Good with customers & colleagues. Coffee is aromatic to my taste & staffs are approachable & helpful, happy every time I visited the coffee shop. Highly recommend if you like real aromatic coffee rather than fluffy tasteless coffee in other coffee shops in Eastbourne
Excellent coffee shop location
Excellent location, Headington in Oxford, always friendly staff who serve the best coffee with a smile and small fruendly chatter.
Shout out to Farhana for the kind words today.
Try the competition
Dark, dirty, tired.Either freezing cold or boiling hot.Full of barking dogs, and people on laptops nursing one coffee for a hour shouting over a ear piece.
Expensive, lifetime getting served.Staff more interested in talking to locals. No phone reception so can't use meerkat app.
I have been using the same Nero for 10…
I have been using the same Nero for 10 years... and most people use it to work... and the wifi has ALWAYS been comedically rubbish... ARE YOU SERIOUS? 10 years!!! This is not 2002! Also the music they play is often highly highly annoying. (Fulham Road.) Shame because its a great location and ambiance.
Rude, patronising staff member
Louth (Lincolnshire) branch: Staff member (apparently she’s the Manager) was extremely rude and patronising, and wasn’t interested in the customers point of view.
Caffe Nero UK either need to re-educate this individual in customer interaction skills (which are clearly lacking,) or replace her with somebody who has better skills.
(Repeat review, the initial one appears to have disappeared?)
Asked for an extra hot caramel latte
Asked for an extra hot caramel latte. What I got was a warm one with a third of the cup froth. Not the first time this has happened. Took it back and asked for a fresh one last time and got a look of disgust for complaining.
