Everytime I access calendar.google.com it relentlessly shows a pop-up for installing Chrome. It doesn't matter if I dismiss it, next time it shows again. Pop-ups are attention stealers by design and only to be used when there is something so severely wrong or dangerous that my work must be interupted or aborted. Well, asking to install Chrome is far, far away of such severity. Nowhere near. And besides that, my laptop is managed by corporate IT so I can't even do so. Google is asking me to do something impossible.

Attention Theft is a crime against Humanity and therefore I call for law to enable prosecution of Attention Thieves and also sentencing them to a Complete Deletion of their Company.

Love how Google Calendar assumes I don’t need an invitation to the meeting I just created. Who needs structure, right?

Apparently, if I schedule something, I must already know it – so no email for me. Meanwhile, everyone else gets notified like royalty.

Thanks for reminding me that I’m just the humble host. A quiet servant in my own calendar.

Next update: Maybe remove me from the meeting entirely?
