All automated, no support at all, took my money and expired my membership, no one there to respond to emails or help
I paid for an annual membership, yet 2 months later I got a notification saying I need to renew as my membership has expired. I’ve emailed countless times, and no response after 19 days, there is no one at the other end of the chat box online to help, all just automated, it’s like no one even works there. Radio silence. This is shocking! I can’t believe how bad it is
For a second year in a row
For a second year in a row, Calm have taken a payment from my account, supposedly for an “automatic renewal” for a Calm account that’s been inactive for 2 years and that I can’t even get access to! This time, despite two emails requesting that they return the £49.99 they’ve taken from me without any authorisation (first one sent over 10 days ago), I’m yet to have a response. Absolutely shameful.
The website is terrible and there…
The website is terrible and there appears to be no way to turn off a reminder chime. No human customer service to speak with about the issue. No way to delete stuff.
Signed up for free 7 day trial and was charged straight away
Was keen to try the app and selected the 7 day free trial. Was then charged £50 straight away. Cancelled immediately and requested a refund but no response.
Stick to other apps that know how a free trial works, avoid Calm.
Absolute nightmare
Absolute nightmare. Cancelled Premium a month in advance and was charged again. Calm refuses to refund. Horrible customer service
Terrible customer service
The Calm content is quite good though a bit hard to find new material at times. The big problem is their customer service. They will not contact me regarding my subscription even though I have emailed them on several occasions
I really want to like Calm
I really want to like Calm, I had high hopes for it, but right from the start it wasn't good. I like their content, but nothing works, errors all over the place. and that's on both website and phone app. I have placed a ticket, but looking at these reviews I do not see any hope of it being fixed and usable. Such a shame. Will ask for a refund.
What a stitch up
What a stitch up. I have severe insomnia and thought this looked g great. Purchased via facebook ad without thinking to check in here - they are posting fake ratings on their website. Paid £40, downloaded the app only to find I could have had it for £30 with a free trial if I’d gone direct. Tried multiple tracks and playlists. All the music is insipid and likely wasn’t even written by av human. The EMDR did nothing for me, and I couldn’t stick with it for long because the “music” was so bad. Ok the soundscapes are quite nice but that’s literally the only thing going for it. Took my headphones off again at 3am and will be cancelling immediately. What a complete waste of money that was!
I signed up for a 7 day free trial and…
I signed up for a 7 day free trial and Calm immediately took £49.99 from my account!!!!!!
Locked out of account resolved.
I had enjoyed the meditation and when offered a 40 percent discount paid happily. However I can’t access calm or contact anyone. This is my attempt to contact Calm.
Finally have access if you have the issue logging out and in again with the e mail address the site sends notifications to, rather than the e mail address in the actual email.
I have just paid $89.99 for Calm only…
I have just paid $89.99 for Calm only to find I cannot access any of the content number 1 and it is $59.99 thru the app. So much for a company that offers relaxation and stress relief!!! Incredibly frustrating. And can’t seem to access support.
still being charged after cancellation
No active subscription on the website or app, and they are trying to renew my subscription. the website does not have a clear way of removing ones payment detiales which is super sketchy
Terrible customer service!
Terrible customer service!! Even after I provided proof of purchase and the credit card number, they claim they still could not find my account and therefore could not help me.
Stay Away ...Very Dishonest
Crooks....cancelled back un August 2025. They just sent a bill to paypal for renewal on Dec 27, 2025 which paypal paid. Ridiculous. Even if I was still a member, my year would have been up in August. Not December. No phone number is available anywhere. You have to submit a refund form that states it could take 30 days. These people are seriously dishonest. STAY AWAY!
billed for free trial
I cancelled the free trial less than an hour after signing up but they went ahead and charged my card 3 days later anyway! Still struggling to get a refund but their "support" is always busy and unresponsive.
Unable to cancel subscription
Unable to cancel subscription, stay away
So unbelievably bad
Wow! I can't believe the amount of negative reviews here.
I have used the app for years. I have never allowed Calm to automatically renew my subscription.
In the UK the law states they must give me at least 7 days notice.
They not only renewed my subscription without my permission i now can't get a response to my 7 emails since Wednesday 11th December asking for my refund.
I emailed the CEO today.
I suffer from depression and anxiety which Calm app has made a lot worse.
I live on a small pension i'm also disabled and I can't sleep with worry.
I cannot afford to have unplanned expenses like this.
I don't have enough money to heat my home.
My pension is still 11 days away.
It's a disgraceful way to treat a long standing member of Calm.
I paid for a quarterly subscription and…
I paid for a quarterly subscription and was not able to log into my account because the enter button was not live. When I open the app and click on any sound, it takes me to another page asked me to pay and sign up. Calm is a complete scam and I want my money back.
Feels like a scam
Signed up after seeing an Instagram advert. Haven’t been able to login and use my ‘premium’ content since then (almost a week). Being ignored by the ‘support team’ via email and Instagram DM.
Would not recommend particularly if you’re looking to improve your anxiety, stress or mental health. So far it has had the opposite impact and I am having to go through my bank to get a refund because Calm are completely ignoring me. Scam??
I am trying to purchase Calm Subscription
I am trying to purchase the subscription.Written to Calm Customer support but nobody has replied to my emails.Kindly assist soon.
