🚫 NEVER flying Cambodia Air again. Worst airport experience.
At check-in, the staff created total chaos and extreme stress because of luggage issues. The way they enforce their rules is completely unreasonable and makes no sense.
✅ My ticket included 23 kg checked baggage — no issues there.
But then everything turned into a nightmare:
1. They forced us to weigh all cabin luggage and claimed each passenger must have strictly ONE carry-on item and a maximum of 7 kg.
2. They offered no clear solutions, no flexibility, and no customer-oriented approach.
3. It was impossible to pay for excess carry-on weight — staff said they “don’t provide this service” and demanded we put everything into suitcases (which was physically impossible).
4. When I tried to pay for extra weight, they said even if you pay for 10 kg overweight, you still must “throw away” 10 kg into one suitcase (!)
5. Buying an extra suitcase / additional baggage allowance at the airport was not possible — they said “there is no such option.” They suggested using a cardboard box from airport workers to pack the items.
6. In the end, they gave an ultimatum: either pay around $160 for a second checked bag OR check in a backpack (a valuable item that can easily be damaged).
I literally had to wear extra clothes, stuff heavy items into pockets, and repack everything multiple times. This nightmare lasted about 1.5 hours and felt humiliating.
In the end, I only passed after paying $60, but it wasn’t a solution — it was pressure, poor service, and an attempt to take money while passengers are stressed and helpless.
❗ Cambodia Air does not help passengers — they break your nerves and squeeze money out of you.
I strongly do NOT recommend this airline. If you don’t want your trip ruined — choose another company.
