Doesnt listen to local opinion

Purchased our house from Galliers/Cameron Homes back in 2020 and there were so many issues with it. Firstly there was a leak in the boiler system which has caused a leak in the bay window. Asked for this to be sorted prior to completion and it wasnt. Took them 2 months to sort as they were in denial it was there. Took them 9 months to do a 10 day snagging list. Were difficult to deal with during the process also.

Recently they have decided to build 62 new houses on the same estate to which most of us previous cameron homes customers objected to in our opinion a very dangerous access road. They chose to ignore as well as the council did. They say they are a company interested in local areas yet they flat out refused to take on board any of the villages concerns regarding this dangerous access. Unfortunately yet another company posing to be “local” but only interested in one thing…. 19 objections vs 1 in favour on the planning register and Cameron Homes refuses to make the simplest of changes. Kids play on the estate where we are at and there was a simple solution given to them whereby they can take access to this new estate via another road yet they chose a small narrow access near a primary school to load up on. Local residents have been ignored by this company who pose as a friendly bunch. Shame on them

Outstanding Service from a Brilliant Team

We’ve just moved into our first home at Eaton Grange and I honestly can’t thank Helen, Tracy and Tom enough for everything they’ve done. As first-time buyers you always hear horror stories about buying a new build, but our experience has been completely the opposite. From start to finish we’ve been so well looked after.

Helen was absolutely brilliant throughout, always chasing up solicitors and mortgage advisors and keeping us updated every step of the way. She made what could have been a stressful process feel so much easier. Tracy was also fantastic, always happy to answer any questions we had and making sure everything was organised for us right up to completion. Since moving in, Tom has been great too. He’s been really quick to respond whenever we’ve needed anything and has made sorting little bits after moving in so simple.

Of course there have been a few snags as you’d expect with any new build, but Cameron has been brilliant at getting everything sorted quickly. We couldn’t have asked for better service from everyone involved. We’re so grateful for all the support and would 100 percent recommend them to anyone buying here. Thank you again to Helen, Tracy and Tom for everything you’ve done for us. From Joe and Beth.

Two Things Made the Difference – A Truly Positive Experience with Cameron Homes

We recently bought our home at Amber Grove through Cameron Homes, and two things really stood out for us.

The first was Tracey, who handled our purchase from start to finish. If we had to sum Tracey up — she’s the ultimate professional: approachable, knowledgeable, and someone who does everything with a smile. Just a genuinely nice person who understands that people buy from people. She made us feel genuinely valued throughout the process. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and her communication and warmth made a big difference. Between us, we’ve bought and sold many homes over the years, but this was the most personal and supportive experience we’ve had.

The second was Cameron’s approach to part exchange. Unlike many developers who bring in third-party firms (which often undervalue your home and take a cut), Cameron handled everything in-house. It was refreshingly straightforward, we were offered a fair price, and the whole process was much less stressful than we expected.

As for the build quality, overall we’ve been really pleased. Naturally, with any new home there will be snagging, but nothing has been too much trouble for Ben and his team, who are working hard to resolve everything with care and professionalism and we have the confidence it will all be taken care of us.

We did purchase one of the higher-end homes Cameron offered on the site, so if we were being picky, a few small things felt a bit under-specced — for example, all the toilet seats were basic plastic ones, which we replaced early on with soft-closing versions. But in the grand scheme of things, that’s a minor issue.

All in all, it’s been a smooth and positive experience — and we’re delighted with our new home. A big thank you to Tracey, Ben, and the wider Cameron team.

Customer service was faultless…

Customer service was faultless throughout, from Tracy in the sales office to the site staff, Ben and Luke. The communication has been excellent and every single one of them has gone above and beyond to make our house buying experience the best it could be. Since moving in, we’ve had very few issues and any that did arise have been resolved quickly and to a good standard. Cameron Homes also paid for an independent snagger to come and check the house prior to us moving in, they provided us with a copy of the report and fixed all of the issues raised.

We can’t recommend Cameron Homes as a new build company enough!

Moved into Lawnswood in December and…

Moved into Lawnswood in December and the service from the beginning has been excellent from Kiran and it has continued with the Site Manager John and his no 2 Mac . Nothing has been any trouble and they continue to act on any queries we have . Lovely well built house and looking forward to the coming years .

Be careful buying a house off this…

Be careful buying a house off this company you will regret it! We are needing new uPVC windows after living here for only 3 years as they use dodgy cheap window suppliers and all the mechanisms have now snapped and the windows no longer open, and Cameron refuse to do anything to help! We've had no end of snags and issues never repaired to a decent standard, garden is like a mud bath absolutely no drainage installed! No speeding safety measures in place despite residents fighting daily to get these installed because there are 2 schools within the estate and their builders and contractors think it's a race track, big accident waiting to happen but yet again they don't care! All about the money for them. They just employ snotty little office staff to fob you off when you try to make a complaint! Jobs worths!

We have been in our new build on…

We have been in our new build on turnpike way ashbourne for a little over a year we are thrilled with our house and found the whole buying experience easy with the help of the fabulous Tracy who was an absolute star from start to finish, we only had minor snags which were sorted straight away and I have found Cameron very helpful with any minor problems we love our house .

Well I will start from the begining - first I must expain that I am Building Surveyor by Trade and my wife and I wanted a new build property following a couple of house renovations - it all all sarted extremely well and the quality looked like it was intially good however, as the build progressed so did the problems, we were called in to order the kitchen which we had to chose from a 3inch square sample which when installed looked nothing like the sample and there was a detail on the kitchen doors which was not highlighted in the showroom or by the sales person, to the point we were advised by the very same person that the samples available were insufficient to actually make a choice - the kitchen was installed and the sales advisor advised at the time "yes, I agree the sample really are insufficient to make a calculated choice" and we changed the kitchen at our costs, the main bathroom choice was to have it half tiles however, on arrival the bathroom had been fully tiled and whilst some of you might thing yes, bonus, it wasnt what we wanted and Cameron homes refused to change to our chosen specification stating it was our error when signing approval paperwork, another blundering error by the sales person - we then chose plank cermic floor tiles through the hallway and kitchen and the sales person in error ticked a box which changed the direct of the tiles from the hallway to the kitchen - Again, the sales representative blamed the customer for himself putting a cross in a wrong box on his paperwork and the tiles being layed incorrectly and we advised that Cameron would relay out of goodwill - , goodwill when they got it wrong !!

Basically we had a sales person who really should have been in a different career and a house builder who couldnt give a damn

Chose Cameron homes at your peril !

New Build Bungalow, Repton, Derby.

Dear Beverley and Lewis,

I want to say thank you.

I took ownership of my new bungalow last Friday and I wanted to thank you and let you know how pleased I am with result of my beautiful new home and the great support I have received, in particular from Tracy, Dave the site manager and also Tony.

You should be very proud of your team. I’m sure it’s not easy for them managing the choices and needs of each new buyer, but I can’t thank them enough for their unfailing help and attention to detail to ensure all of my choices were met and delivered to the highest quality.

I am already an owner of a Cameron Home and have always been impressed with the layout and designs of your developments and the quality of your builds. My new bungalow at Repton is absolutely stunning, the quality and finish is first class and I couldn’t be more pleased with the result.

We have had the pleasure of working…

We have had the pleasure of working with Cameron Homes over the past 9months and have finally moved into our fabulous new home. We can't say anything negative from our experience and everyone from the show home sales to the legal department were exceptional. Our own home fell through twice but Cameron Homes continued to offer support and help us achieve our dream of moving into our new home.
Their solicitor,Chris was a joy to work with, and he and his team were able to ensure that our sale and purchase went through smoothly. The home itself now we have moved in, is nothing more than amazing. The attention to detail and standard of finish is exceptional. I can now see how Matt has won awards for this development
Well done everyone at Cameron Homes , just brilliant and if anyone is thinking of buying a new build I would strongly recommend Cameron Homes.

The nightmare of owning a Cameron home

As someone who has recently dealt with Cameron Homes, I feel compelled to share my experience to alert potential buyers to the potential pitfalls you might face.

To begin, the flooring in my living room was poorly installed, with noticeable gaps between the planks. This oversight created a drafty environment and led to uncomfortable living conditions. Cameron Homes initially blamed the flooring subcontractor, refusing to acknowledge their overall responsibility for the work. After months of back-and-forth, they reluctantly agreed to fix the issue, but only after I threatened to take legal action.

Another major problem was the shoddy brickwork on the exterior of the house. I noticed several bricks were chipped or unevenly placed, giving the façade a distinctly amateurish look. This not only affected the curb appeal but also raised concerns about the long-term structural integrity of the house. Cameron Homes dismissed my concerns, suggesting that these were merely "cosmetic issues" and not a priority for repair.

Moreover, the garden drainage system was incorrectly installed, leading to significant waterlogging every time it rained. This not only damaged the lawn but also began to affect the foundation of the house. Cameron Homes did send a team out to assess the damage, but their solution—a simple patch job—proved to be ineffective. I've since had to hire an independent contractor to correct their mistakes, at my own expense.

Then there’s the matter of the electrical system. Several outlets in the house were improperly wired, posing a serious safety risk. On two occasions, the circuits tripped without warning, leaving half the house without power. Despite these clear hazards, Cameron Homes delayed sending out an electrician for weeks, and when they finally did, the problem was only temporarily resolved. It’s taken multiple visits from an independent electrician to get the electrical work up to standard.

The final straw for me was discovering that the windows were not properly sealed, allowing drafts and moisture to penetrate the interior. Over time, this has led to mold growth in several rooms. Cameron Homes’ response was dismissive, suggesting that the mold was due to “improper ventilation” on my part, rather than acknowledging their subpar installation work.

In light of these experiences, I would advise anyone considering Cameron Homes to proceed with caution. They appear to cut corners at every turn, and their customer service is less than responsive when issues arise. The lack of accountability and quality control is alarming and should be a serious consideration for any prospective buyers. If you’re thinking about purchasing a property from them, I would be happy to provide further details and documentation on the myriad problems I’ve faced.

Positive experience with Cameron Homes

From the first appointment with Jesse J, to the team on site Charlie G and Mike K its been a really positive journey. As my first home, I was apprehensive, never bought a new build off plan. But nothing was too much trouble, and anything I needed looking at was reviewed with a fantastic turnaround. I'm really pleased overall with the communication and workmanship!

Bungalow from Cameron…

We purchased our bungalow from Cameron homes at Wood Heath 7 months ago, it is absolutely beautiful and the perfect size for us, excellent build and attention to detail, we spoke with Jesse and Georgia and always found them both to be very professional, helpful, answered all our questions and made it a stress free experience, thank you, would highly recommend

Cameron homes

We had been looking to move for a few months and wanted a new build.
When we viewed the Cameron Homes show home we were very impressed with the build quality and size of the rooms in comparison to other builders.
Jesse the sales agent for the site was a great help from the time we secured the plot explaing the process and allowing us to see our home move through the stages to completion.
Jesse was always happy to answer any queries or questions that we had. We have been in our home for four and a half months now and are very settled and happy.

A premium house builder for sure!

We bought our home a little over 12 months ago, what a seamless experience from start to finish.
We would recommend Cameron homes to anyone looking for a new build, the standard of their builds is so high!

Cameron Homes Lawnswood

Bought a new build 16months and have never looked back.
Kiran the sales manager is a pleasure to work with - from putting the initial reservation fee down she kept up good communication and supported me through the new build process. I was able to choose all of my interior and watch my house being built. Rob the site manager and Mack gave a great handover and managed the snagging with efficiency.
The customer support team have been very helpful and responsive when needed.
The quality of the homes is outstanding with attention to detail compared to other new homes I have purchased from bigger house builders.
I would highly recommend Cameron Homes.

Cameron homes are Premium Builder!

We Absolutely Love our Cameron Home! We have The Hatton, which is just perfect! This is our first home together, so finding the perfect builder and making a big decision, we certainly went with the BEST company! The quality of build, the finishing touches, the high standards are just outstanding. We can’t fault them. Minor snags which are to be expected, but these were resolved within days. The customer service and after care is above & beyond. We felt supported and informed during the entire journey of our purchase and even to this day the communications from Cameron Home keeps on flowing. Thank you for creating our beautiful home!

Cameron Homes Lawnswood

I Purchased my house at the Lawnswood Development located in Tatenhill back in December 2022. Site manager was super helpful and throughout my time I have only had 1 minor issue which Cameron sorted out straight away. Would recommend.
