I have had an amazing experience with camp leaders for the last two years of going to camp with them. They are really helpful with any questions that may come up and always answer quickly when you try to get in touch with them!

I have been to the US with camp leaders for 3 summers each time the help I have received is invaluable. Despite my past experience with the programme I always had questions which were never treated ad unimportant and were responded to promptly via both email and telephone.
This experience has been life changing and was a huge leap so having support before, during and after the programme is vital. I will always be grateful for the summers I have experienced and the people I have met.

Camp is genuinely life changing, I would recommend to anyone who is feeling hesitant, to speak to anyone at Camp Leaders. All their staff have so much experience in the world of camp, and they are so passionate!

I cannot recommend camp leaders enough. They were so helpful throughout the whole process, answered all questions that I had and made the process extremely easy and straightforward. I used them five times and never had any issues whatsoever. The staff were exceptional, pleasant and friendly. 10/10.

From the beginning this was my first ever time going to an American summer camp and it was a confusing experience to start off with, but the amazing team at camp leaders helped me through everything and made my whole experience smooth and stress free. A special thank you to Meg who was always there to answer any questions I had, especially with this being completely new to me and not knowing what was a stupid question and what wasn’t, she was able to answer all questions and assured nothing was stupid and it’s better to ask than guess.

I couldn’t have asked for any better staff to help me with my preparation to go to America and will 100% be returning and with camp leaders. I would recommend camp leaders to anyone I know who is interested in going to America, they are all amazing and wonderful people who are always ready to help.

That “Rachel Ring" review is basically exactly what happened to me back in June 2012. I had to pay camp leaders £1015.00 due to not completing my contract. I was dismissed by Camp Caribou because, after 4 days, in a nutshell, Camp Caribou staff were incredibly lazy in doing the due diligence and didn't bother even interviewing me, and the dialogue I had was virtually nonexistent as well as their job description or requirements before and after I departed, I remember vividly they didn’t even pick me from the Logan airport on time they showed up 9 hours later. Because I paid the "Admin" fee of around £555.00, I was obligated to attend camp. When I returned to the UK, I didn't hear from camp leaders for about two months, and then they sent an invoice that had to be paid in 14 days, I remember I had to deal with a mouthy individual name Pete Hanbury at some point he argued it was all my fault and I embellished my application.

US camps have a massive labour shortage due to US workers paying huge college tuition fees who would rather obtain a career elsewhere or internship after college. Then work at summer camps.

Camp leaders and the rest of placement agencies have vested interest in placing participants and obtaining their placement fee, that why show up universities job fairs.

Any advice to anyone interested in applying? Don't bother! 

By far the greatest thing I've ever done in my life!! What started out as a 'once in a lifetime opportunity' turned into 5 summers and I would keep going back to camp forever if I could. Camp Leaders were very supportive and helpful the whole time and super friendly.

Staff were really good, they gave me a lot of support and helped me find the right camp. Highly recommend.

Camp leaders have been amazing! Everything is laid out very clearly and whenever I have a question about anything I ring them and they are happy to talk me through it. They have made the whole process so much easier. Thank you!

Made this experience super easy and stress free. Everyone i’ve talked to is super helpful and friendly. I personally didn’t have any issues at all.

So help, every step was lined out through the application process to getting placed at camp and even on the day of getting my visa help was there if needed, 100% recommend camp leaders, cant wait for this summer!!

Camp leaders has been my pathway to USA and their support has been excellent. Would not have been able to do the paperwork etc without their guidance. Along the way I have made a great friend on their team as he has been superb all the way through these passed years of me going to camp. Big up to Matt on the team 👏 😁

The process for being selected for camp via the online selection days was confusing. It wasn't clear how these would work, and having signed up for one, I wasn't sure how being part of the selection day was beneficial - I could only choose 5 camps to be interviewed by, and they were able to decline my application for interview without explanation. There is no way of filtering camps by dates available over the summer, leading to me being offered a place on a camp that started before my university term ended. So for the next recruitment day, I had to trawl through every camp that would be attending, checking their dates one by one. Although I was offered a few camps after the recruitment days, I actually ended up accepting a placement at a camp that contacted me directly, having read my profile. I had other offers come in this way too, so I feel that I needn't have spent so much time organising myself for and attending the recruitment days. However, once a placement was confirmed, I found the support for getting all the admin sorted was excellent. There's a lot to get organised, and the visa application process in particular is complicated - Camp Leaders provided very clear step by step instructions for how to fill in all the forms, and what documents would be needed. The online portal is very easy to navigate and you can see clearly if there are any outstanding actions. Although I haven't yet attended camp (3 weeks to go!) I feel totally prepared and supported
