Wrong items sent TWICE!!!

Ordered 4 identical items in a size large. Received them as a size small. Completed return and second shipment had the exact same WRONG sized items. I called customer service for a full refund. I'll pay extra to work with a different business.

I had the most incredible experience where ups dropped the ball, but camp saver picked it up and ran it into the end zone. They truly value you as a customer and make it easy to do business with them

Waste of time

Ordered my gear and they told me it would be around 20 days to fill the order. That's fine, everything was from Japan. 1 month later they still don't have it. 2 months later they still don't have it, and tell me it is going to be another month. 3 months (maybe longer) just to get stock of the items I ordered. Don't waste your time.

Had to cancel 2 of 3 orders

I've placed a total of 3 orders through their website. 2/3 had to be cancelled because they had no idea when the item would be available. This wouldn't be an issue if they acknowledged this on the website. There was nothing on their website that stated these items were on back order, simply said estimated a shipping date 7-15 days out. No problem! I can wait. Once I placed the orders I received an email stating that some items were on back order. I waited about 10 days on each and reached out to customer service to see if I could get an estimated ship date.

The first order was placed on 2/22, again, with the estimated ship date 7-15 days from that date. I did receive the email stating that both Deuter packs I ordered were on back order. I checked in a week and a half later and they said that they weren't scheduled to get the packs in until June....JUNE! Cancelled that order.

The second order (which I just cancelled today) was placed on 4/5, also with the 7-15 day estimated shipping date. I received the back order email and reached out to see when it might ship. I was told then that they were scheduled to be back in stock on 4/13. I checked in today to see if there was any update on when the order may ship. Now it's not expected until 5/5, but they aren't sure if they will get it in then. I asked how they can sell something when they have no idea if/when they will have it in stock. The response was "That is because we allow back orders, so customers can place orders for items that aren't in stock if they would like." I could understand this if you made it clear to us that we were ordering an item that was on back order. Nothing on the site indicates that that the items ordered were on back order. So this wasn't a scenario where I saw that they were back ordered and made a purchase anyway. I made a purchase and was told after the fact that the items were on back order and they didn't know when they would be back in stock. I also understand that "estimated" is not a guarantee (this was there initial response to me asking why i was told one date a week ago and now I'm being told another), but "estimated to ship in 7-15 days" doesn't mean "out of stock" or "back order". The "we allow for back orders...if they would like" statement still just blows my mind.

After waiting almost 8 weeks…

After waiting almost 8 weeks and several calls which was communicated to me my order would be filled on 3 different dates, and my order still had not been filled. I was told on the second call that they would upgrade my shipping. I did find the item through another vendor which offered the same discounts and shipping but was also able to use my dividend for more cost savings. The quickest response I received was cancelling the order.

The worst experience ever on online…

The worst experience ever on online shopping.
They sell products they don't have and say it's in stocks.
I've been waiting for my item over a month.
They don't even bother replying to my email.
No apologies no explanations.
Repulsive.

American Bureaucracy at its Worst

This site is a massive hassle to do business with. First their site is insufficiently set up to check items can ship to the specified destination. They cancelled my order without warning the next day. Next they required verification of my payment method. Despite already charging or placing "holds" on my card. Where else in the world are they so paranoid about fraudulent payments that they refuse to honour an order unless you verify a test transaction. This is a massive hassle slowing down shipping and making the whole shopping process a complete pain.

Next time I will go somewhere else where they value their customers time and work to help the customer rather than mess them around. When I place an order and pay I expect the order to be shipped within 24 hours or an explanation of an inventory issue provided. I believe this to be reasonable as every other place I shop is capable of it.

Items rarely in stock.

Overpriced and they don't list when items are back ordered. I found out after the item wasn't going to ship for 24 days! How can a site even stay in business doing that . Customer service was rude and unwilling to work with their customers after falsely advertising what was in stock.

Terrible Service!!!

I am oversea customer and had BAD experience last week..
Got a email that my order has been cancelled and ask CS the reason behind, would like recap what Ryan@Campsaver replied: "we are no longer interested in doing business with you and campsaver reserves the right to refuse to do business with anyone if we choose, at this moment we choose not to do business with you, this is all the information i am allowed to provide you."
This is the services what Campsaver provide? I don't care the goods now, just want someone to follow up with that terrible service, my order# 10903575, i also keep the email record with Ryan for backup.
Again, feel disappointed!!

Bad experience

Bad experience. They told me to manual verify my credit card after few days from my order and never reply my email. Ok...fine... i place my second order with paypal; somehow they cancel my order. SO RUDE!

I didn’t get a chance to say one way or…

I didn’t get a chance to say one way or another I seen 100 dollars off what I wanted which was a dare good deal, I order and after ordering I started research on them, doesn’t look like they have very good review and I was just about to see if their reviews where true. The deal breaker for me is campsaver contact me to verify my CC information which I thought was really weird never had that done before. Then I kept asking when would it be shipped bc I received two different shipping dates so I decided to cancel my order I will pay the extra 100 knowing I will receive my product when they say they will. Sorry campsaver you need to work on your rep. What I order was way to much money to get rip of or wait 90 days for it sorry I give a 2.5 Star bc I didn’t give you a chance to prove yourself or to let me down

They do not know what they have or when they will get it to you

I had ordered something online that show it is in stock on January 1. I received an email that said I would be receiving it in 3 to 5 days. Several days later I get an email that it is out of stock and it would be shipping in two weeks. I follow up three weeks later and the date moved. I followed up again and the date has moved two times the first time the date moved . Horrible customer service, horrible communication, extremely poor online inventory system – I will not order from them again and do not recommend that anyone does. It’s not been a good experience heal their service is acceptable

I received the jacket by Jan.6th & it was just what I ordered
and had seen at REI for full price, getting it for 15% less and
paying no 10% State sales tax.
I was so pleased I ordered my husband the same Patagonia
jacket in a different color

Their inventory used to be a lot better …

Their inventory used to be a lot better but after the recent revamp, many items are not in stock and they do not update you until you email them. Quite a disappointment, considering how they used to be one of my go-to sites to purchase outdoor gears.

Buyer beware

Wow, has this company ever gone to the dogs! I ordered from Canada. Two weeks later instead of getting my order, I got an email saying they had to remove more items from my “cart”as they couldn’t ship them to Canada. This over and above the items that were removed at checkout. They sent me a list of items with no explanation. Were these the items removed or the items being shipped? As I wanted what I ordered I said ship away. Every order I’ve received from this site in the past has been sent USPS. If you are a Canadian customer shopping online cross border you will be aware of the “brokerage fees” charged by courier companies over and above customs and duties. I assumed the shipping department of campsaver were savvy about this and used USPS in order to avoid this extra expense. Imagine my surprise when the package arrive via USP...AND an extra $100 added to the bill. The driver, knowing I wouldn’t want the package, hadn’t even gotten it out of the truck! So, I declined the package. Campsaver refused to sent it USPS and basically cancelled my order. Well, that was over a month ago and they are refusing to refund my $700 CAD until they receive the package back even though they have a tracking number. TWO months, no merchandise, and no refund. I’ve had to open a case with PayPal in hopes of getting my money back. What a scam!!

These people DO NOT care

These people absolutely do not want or care about your money. When I went into the distribution store in Cache Valley, I was going to get a product from the warehouse that they had in stock, I knew what I wanted, however when I went in, the guy at the counter was so put out that I came in 10 minutes prior to closure he made an effort to be so ignorant to my needs I just decided to turn around and leave. They must make too much money that they don’t need mine, I will not ever purchase from them again.

Worst online shopping experience ever

Campsaver.com is hands down the worst online shopping experience I have ever been through

• They can't take card payments like any other company for some reason. You need to call them after you've made a purchase to verify your card details again. They need to take *the entire series of credit card numbers again* over the phone, to post a small transaction to that credit card. You have to wait a subsequent few hours for that amount to show up. It's almost like they don't want you to purchase things from them, given how many hoops they make you jump through.
• Their office hours to do all of the above are needlessly restrictive
• Very regularly, upon calling the office during office hours, no one picks up
• They can't do anything useful regarding the above over email. It has to be done over the phone.

Avoid avoid avoid. Unless you enjoy having your time being wasted.

No communication, 2 months for a backpack?!

I ordered something out of stock (because of a coupon they had). It was supposed to be delivered in 3 to 4 weeks and I wanted to save some $$$. A month goes by and I hear nothing from them. I email them and they said the item won't be in stock for a month. It shouldn't take 2 months to get an item from a major brand. It's not like a backpack is a rare and hard to acquire item.

If there is going to be a huge delay they should communicate that to the customer. This seems like a no brainer in today's world.

To Good to Be True...Sometimes Is True!!!

I ordered a Big Agnes Rattlesnake 2 tent with the mountainGlo lights (footprint, included free; free shipping, discounts, and extra discounts). I got a tremendously good deal; so good, I was just hoping I would actually receive the tent....and, I did! CampSaver made me a very satisfied, happy customer.😀😀😀😀😀
