Got me approved!

The Government of Canada is ridiculously strict about letting people into their country that have any sort of impaired driving incident in their past. I had a DUI in California many years ago, and got accepted to do my Masters at UBC in Vancouver. Awesome opportunity to study in a beautiful city, but first I had to convince Canada that I would never drink and driving again.

Thanks to the Canada DUI Entry Law team, specifically Ben and Ilir, I was able to get approved for special permission to enter Canada with a DUI which then allowed me to get approved for a Study Permit. It wasn't easy, Immigration Canada seemed to want a bunch of stuff like court docs and a background check, but this law firm got it done which is all that matters. Took about 4 months from beginning to end, which is roughly what I was expecting (about 1 month to assemble everything and about 3 months for the Government to review).

Overall, I would rate these guys 10/10. Their price was fair (certainly not cheap, but not less than some others quoted), they were detailed and methodical in their approach, and they got me approved which is really all I cared about. Would I go through their hassle just to take a vacation in Canada, probably not, but if someone really wants to cross the border and has a DUI these are the lawyers to call.

Excellent Law Firm

I had an alcohol-related driving violation on my criminal record (DUI plead down to reckless driving) and was worried about getting denied entry at the Canadian border. Ilir Orana and his legal team at Canada DUI Entry Law took excellent care of me. They put together a Temporary Resident Permit application in less than two weeks, and I was able to fly into Vancouver airport and attend my conference without any issue. The agent at the border even mentioned it was one of the best TRP applications he had ever seen. If you need to go to Canada with a DUI, I definitely recommend calling this law firm.
