Digusted

I bought a Nespresso machine in the month of late November 2025. This was my second machine. The machine did not close properly at all. Already bought a Nespresso machine over 4 years ago. The machine had a water leak. Both were from Canadian Tire. Given that I already experienced two defects in two different machines, I wanted an exchange not for the same machine. Since I was given mixed information. At first was told I could exchange without paying money. I was told to pay an additional $70.00 for a different machine . Of course did not want the same machine, since I already had problems with the same machine.
It was suggested to get the same machine. If I was nto happy to come back or get a refund. I tried the third machine. The coffee brewed was not hot. So I decided to take either back again. There is a one-year warranty with these machines. Apparently, I was told I could get a refund. Even when I got my third machine, Canadian Tire still wanted to charge five dollars. I had expressed given my two defective machines, why would I owe any more money?
I was told by Nespresso that if there were any problems for the manager to call Nespresso. The manager refused to reach out to them even though I had mentioned this was a special case. I had told the manager to shove the machine and ask for my receipt back. I received no refund.
Pleased to shop at his store. I will never set foot in this store again. Besides the poor response, I also recieved from Nespresso.
Why would anyone want to buy from this store, given the level of lack of accommodations for resolving the issue? Stay away or better yet, do not buy Nespresso products from this store.

Poor customer service, not taking responsibility for their own mistake

Horrible service by the guy behind the till to and by the management. I asked the auto parts guy which chains i needed for my car, he grabbed the two bags (2 chains per bag) and sold them to me. He was extremely arrogant during this whole process too. I tested one of the chains, and it fit (as per their policy). A year later, driving through a snowy pass, i pulled out all 4 chains. Only to find out only one set fits my car. The guy behind the desk sold me 2 sets of different size chains! Now I'm trying to exchange it for the right size, and they are not taking any responsibility. They keep on reciting their policy. Not admitting they made a mistake.

3 Issues at Canadian were not fixed and was charged

3 Issues
1. Got new tires at Canadian Tires - From the moment I drove out of the parking lot the car was shaking violently, When I got home I called Canadian Tires to advise of the experience. They advised they did not balance the wheels. I went back and got the wheel balance - no change - still shaking violently. Went back they charged me to do an analysis and charged me more then the balancing of the wheels. The analysis advised it was the steering wheel was the issues and it would cost around $1500.00. I advised it was not the steering wheel - That I got a second opinion and it was the balancing. They refused to release the car until I pay the amount for the analysis - No other garage charges for an analysis. There were a 3 issues with the work they performed - I did pay the amount and called the head office. After a few conversation with the manager - about the shaking of the car, the charge for the analysis and the work they did on the wheel they advised was leaking - he advised to take the car to another garage and he would refund me for the charge. I did the issue was fixed with the shaking of the car, the wheel was no longer leaking. I advised the manager - Now he refused to give the refund. It has been about 6 months going back and forth.

Canadian tire store #129

Canadian tire store #129
From the guy working in the automotive area, cashier and the lady at the customer service for refunds, y 'all too grumpy. Don' say Hi to customers and when a customer says Hi, just stare at the person and no reply, no courtesy. Talk about a awkward moment. Then you wonder why consumers resort to shop online instead of in person shopping.

Ridiculous Policies

*Canadian Tire Orillia* We purchased as tote to store our Christmas tree in that as advertised would fit up to a 7' tree. The purchase was on Dec.21 however after taking down the tree, we discovered it would not fit in the tote. Tried to return it, this first week of Jan, 2026 to find out they will not return it cause it is "Christmas" related to which returns for such ended Dec.17 (4 days before I bought it). At the bottom of the receipt it says no returns on Christmas Decor (which it is not), trees (which it only relates to tree) and lights (not applicable) after Dec.17. Considering the its a Christmas tree, one would think most people leave it up till after Christmas. There was no signage where the totes were stacked for display stating they were final sale, the cashier never said anything but apparently there was a sign at the cash (like I was expecting to look for a "final sale" sign before Christmas). The customer service staff stated that it is noted on the bottom of the receipt but call me crazy but to get the receipt, I had to pay at which point it would have been Final Sale. Had I known I would not have bought it till I was sure it would fit.

Pathetic service

Pathetic service. I changed the starter of my car in September and was charged around $730, but within just 3 months it stopped working again. Now Canadian Tire is asking for more money instead of taking responsibility.

In September, they also replaced the left front tie rod, and by December the tire burst. On top of that, the sales staff were extremely rude and unwilling to listen. Their only response was to demand more money.

The technicians seem totally inexperienced, and the overall service quality is terrible. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

Exceeded my expectations

I purchased a set of dishes from CT in Alberta while there on holidays. On arriving home, one bowl was broken.
I went to the local Vernon store to ask what they could do for me. They willingly extracted a good bowl from a local inventory set, and exchanged it for the broken bowl without charge.
I'm impressed!

Great service

I was in your store today and was looking for some on sale winter boots that I saw on line. Couldn't find them in the Boot section. I went to the service desk in that area and talked to Piper. She told me the boots on sale were closer to the front of the store and told me she would take me there. We found them , but not my size. Her info said size eleven was in stock and she headed of the storage and came back with a size 11. She waited while I tried them on. Perfect. We talked a little bit about Christmas and I told her I had donated $50 to The Salvation Army here and in Walmart. Then took my 2 foot tall beer bottle bank with $321.50 to them directly. I thanked her getting the boots and listening to my donation story She thanked me for sharing. Very nice young Lady.

🚨 Scam Alert

🚨 Scam Alert – Fake “Like & Earn” Tasks 🚨

A marketing agency is pushing people to add likes and hearts to well-known brands (including Canadian Tire) for a few dollars per task.

⚠️ This is a scam.

Here’s how it works:
• They ask you to like or heart content and pay a small amount at first.
• Then they tell you to deposit your earnings to “unlock more tasks.”
• Once you deposit money, it’s gone — and the tasks never pay out.

❌ These are not real likes.
❌ This is fake engagement being used to manipulate app metrics and marketing data.
❌ The deposit requirement is the scam trigger.

If a job asks you to pay money to earn money, it is always a scam.

What to do
• Do not deposit any money
• Stop communicating immediately
• Report the account/platform
• Warn others — especially newcomers and seniors

Legitimate companies never pay for fake likes and never ask workers to deposit funds.

Sold me broken tire chains

Sold me broken chains.

Worst retail experience I’ve ever had.
Do not buy anything from Canadian Tire.

I purchased tire chains for my vehicle and was sold a set that was clearly used and already broken. Not slightly worn — obviously damaged. When I returned to the store, they told me they don’t sell used chains and that chains are final sale, so according to them the damage must have been my fault.

That makes no sense. If they don’t sell used items and I received broken ones, then there was obviously a mistake on their end. Instead of taking responsibility, they accused me of breaking them and completely refused a return or exchange.

Terrible service, zero accountability, and incredibly frustrating to deal with. I’m beyond disappointed and will never trust this store again

Won't shop at Smiths Falls Canadian Tire ever again.

There was a water softener in the flyer on sale ($749.99 reg., on sale for $619.99). We drove a distance to the Smiths Falls, Ontario Canadian Tire and when we found the water softener, there was a sign that it was not on sale. They wouldn't honour the flyer price. Very disappointed and won't shop at Smiths Falls Canadian Tire ever again. We should have gone to Kingston as they would honour the flyer price. I guess all Canadian Tires don't treat their customers the same.

Poor customer service no zero customer service

I complained 2 times with no follow up from Canadian Tire. The 30 x 50x canadian tire extra with purchase is a total scam. They owe me hundreds of dollars as I spent 2 thousand on folding chairs for Dec 2024. I got zero Canadian Tire points. I did another large purchase in 2025 and the same thing zero points. As a former loyal Canadian Tire customer I and my family boycott them now.
