The worst brand I have used.
Got a new kitchen with candy appliances. Once kitchen was completed we on the first use of dishwasher would not heat up. Then as s result did not drain and folded kitchen.
Called candy told them took a while for matinance to come out did not come with any parts and just looked at it and said its broken.
He left we gad no idea what was happening. Called up and said we would have a replacement sent out. Coiplenof weeks later it turns up please understand this was the first use. So we had to have this taken out and then pay plumber again to refit at our expense.
So new one is out in but this one does not even turn on so we call up again another wait so thisbis returned and we hot a different make.
Come to 1 year 2 month down the line our oven display won't turn on so just over 12 months calk the warrenty number I amninformed thisbis over a year old 2 options pay 160 for fix if they can or if they can't they will charge me 80 to tell nits broken and they can't fix. Or pay 20 a month for 12 months so 240 and they fix or replace as many times as I need for the 12 months. So an oven a year old and they expect me to need multiple services.
I decide to can a local engineer to have a look who said is the control board that has broken and guess what you can no longer get the part so it's now for the crap one year old not used that much.
Absolute joke of a brand. Do jot buy as you will end up buying something else.

Purchased 9kg heat pump dryer on 13th of April 2024 -Dryer stops working and trips power in house on 2nd July 2024. Reported fault and engineer calls out on 22nd July, says a new motor needed.
Candy told me if they can't get it repaired within 28 days that they'll replace. Get text today with new appointment date of 8th of August, I called and WhatsApp customer service and was told the same thing, I won't be getting a replacement because a repair is booked. So I'm supposed to be without my new dryer for over a month? Not good enough and their agents couldn't care less.
I went back to retailer (Harvey Norman) who have refunded me. Won't buy candy/Hoover again purely due to the poor customer service.
My old candy condenser dryer last years, and this is why I bought candy again .But when something goes wrong, they are less than helpful.
Also we were given then hard sell when we rang to register the warranty.

They promise free additional 3 year guarantee but in reality it's fake. When they sold the fridge they gave me a brochure with instructions how to activate additional free 3-year guarantee. When I called the number they said it doesn't apply to the fridge that was purchased. Why do you give the brochures then?

I bought a Candy washer dryer two years ago. All of a sudden it stops drying. They send someone out who says it is a switch. I try it the next week - it does not work - they send someone out who says it was a wire. I try it two weeks later - it BLOWS! I request a new machine and they refuse saying they must send ANOTHER technician when it seems the people they are sending have no idea what they are doing. So much money for something that is going to give in after two years. I do not recommend.

Machine hardly used, after 18 months I find it incredible that this happens, machines not fit for purpose. No response from Candy Customer Services re my complaint. Will never purchase Candy again.

I rang up on Saturday to register my warranties for appliances in our new static holiday home. The woman was helpful collecting all details of the items but afterwards it turned into quite a hard sell. I'm usually cautious of this whenever someone sells so hard and I was sure I was already covered anyway so we agreed they'd call back on Tuesday to see if I'd had time to review my current agreements with the holiday site. She then rang back a few hours later on the same day. Considering we'd agreed she'd call Tuesday, I was confused. All my contract information was at home, and I was at the caravan so couldn't review yet and said I'd be busy on Monday. She said she had forgotten that we'd agreed she call me Tuesday. Today (Monday) I had a missed call. Presumably from her again. And I feel harassed by the service and do not want to proceed with any additional coverage. So I would like an acknowledgement of my existing warranty but nothing else. I haven't actually had to make a claim through the warranty so I will keep my fingers crossed that I don't have to.

Candy washing machine inherited with flat purchase, but stopped working. Called for service on the 10th; service on 26th; a day before service moved without any communication to next month 7th!!! No service for a month! What a joke!

That’s awful. If they’re that common issues; he should have had one. But that’s really poor fault finding. Shocking experience.
Left and there’s no update; or anything to suggest he’s even going to come back. Hopefully I’ll get someone different.
Before leaving he then tried to sell me a care package. I would strongly avoid Candy - they are awful.
The glass door on our washing machine cracked after 9 months, nothing other than normal loads of clothing have ever been put in the machine. We contacted Candy Home to arrange a repair under warranty. We spent half an hour on the phone and had to take out an insurance policy to cover the repair just in case the engineer considered it to be accidental damage rather than a fault. We were told we can cancel the policy at enay time so reluctantly went ahead. We were then told the first appointment was in 6 days time, we booked this slot. We provided all the details about the machine including the serial number and a full description of the cracked door as requested. When the engineer arrived they said they had no idea what the fault was and they have to order the spare part which will take a approx a week to arrive, we then need to book another appointment for fitting which will most likely be another week. We will have had to 3 weeks without a washing machine for a family of 5, assuming all goes to plan but I am not holding my breath. I cannot believe the engineer did not arrive with the required parts to complete the repair, absolutely appalling organisation and customer service.
If you happen to have a problem, forget about it. I have a new washing machine that stopped working out of the blue and I was never assisted. It is a waste of time and money calling them and have them always saying I need to wait for a call from them to make an appointment. Well, how many weeks do you want us to wait? And from what I have read, I doubt it will ever be solved.
NOTE: this is the case in Portugal.
Machine arrived with part missing. Wasted so much time trying to get retailer (very.co.uk) or Candy to supply the missing piece. Gave up and returned for refund. Even that’s a hassle.
Bought a Candy tumble dryer in July 2020. It immediately had a fault which was fixed under warranty. Now that fault is back and Candy want between £140-£210 to repair it. It has always dribbled water out and now the screen has failed too. Highly recommend every other brand but Candy!

Like the reviews below I have also bought an appliance from Candy that turned out to be faulty. As soon as it arrived and the installation team turned it on it flooded our kitchen and has damaged the flooring. We've already had 3 engineers out to look at it in less than 2 weeks but Candy refuse to replace it so far. This is the first product I have ever bought from Candy and I suspect it will be the last!
I bought a washer dryer with Amazon Alexa connectivity -- it's pretty poor tbh.
OK, so it washes and dries, but for the first few days everything was coming out smelling of rubber.
But, the advertised Smart functionality seriously falls short.
Candy Customer Services suggested their inadequacies were an issue for Amazon, rather than an issue for themselves.
This culture of passing the buck is frustrating, especially when it's obviously the fault of Candy, and not the fault of Amazon.
I may end up returning the machine, because they cannot tell me how get it to do what it's supposed to do.
Never buying Candy appliances again. I had a dishwasher and a cooker hood. Both broke down after 3 years without intensive usage. That can happen, maybe I was unlucky. But repairability is terrible. There is only one service company that can fix it for you and their quotes are roughly identical buying the appliances brand new. Also spares are crazy expensive (150 euros for a simple power supply board). It's a shame having to throw the stuff away.
Good price performance fridge freezer
The fridge freezer we bought from Argos. Delivery was fast (in a few days) and the installation by ourselves was as simple as plugging in the power cord to the socket.
Overall it has no complaint at the given price point. It is inexpensive and the overall experience with this fridge freezer is very good.
