Product Didn’t Work and the “Guarantee” Is Extremely Difficult to Claim

I purchased two Barkbuddy devices after seeing the advertised 30-Day Bark-Free Money Back Guarantee. Unfortunately, in my experience the product simply didn’t work.

I used the devices consistently for over six weeks, followed the setup instructions, tested different placements, adjusted frequencies as recommended, and even supplemented with reinforcement training techniques. Despite all of that, there was no meaningful change in my dog’s barking behaviour.

What has been more frustrating than the product itself is the process of trying to claim the advertised guarantee.

Instead of honouring the guarantee when requested, the support team repeatedly extended the trial period and introduced additional requirements after the fact. Each response required more information, more testing, and additional troubleshooting steps. After confirming that the device was functioning correctly but simply ineffective for my dog, I was then asked to provide detailed usage logs, behavioural reports, and even a video demonstration of the device being used with my dog before they would consider the refund request.

At this point it feels less like a “money-back guarantee” and more like a lengthy qualification process designed to make refunds difficult.

I appreciate that results may vary between dogs, but when a product advertises a clear guarantee, customers reasonably expect that it will be honoured without excessive hurdles once the product has clearly failed to deliver results.

Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this product.

This is a great product that really…

This is a great product that really does work. My dog would stand at the bottom of my bed & bark when she thought it was time to get up & get her breakfast. One week of using the “Bark Buddy” fixed that ! If she started barking for no reason i would just have to pick it up .. not even turn it on .. and that was enough. Highly recommend 10/10.

I recently got my hands on the…

I recently got my hands on the BarkBuddy & the BarkBuddy Go & it has seriously brought so much calm to my house! My pup is quite reactive & can bark loud when anyone walks past the house. So I was on the lookout for something to help reduce this (especially when we aren’t home to monitor) before we got noise complaints & I can confidently say that it works! I also love that it isn’t harmful to my pup in anyway. I truly cannot recommend the BarkBuddy & BarkBuddy Go. Absolute lifesavers!

Don’t waste your money

Don’t waste your money. Totally useless product. My dog started barking even more when the device was switched on. Tried all the settings and various locations with no results. Worse still the company’s money back guarantee isn’t worth the paper it’s written on. They will try everything to back out of it and blame you or the dog for the device not working.

Guarantee is a bad joke

Used as directed, large dog cowers and shakes when it’s used so it’s not humane.
Delivery took way longer than promised, money back guarantee is a sham. Don’t buy this.

It really does work

I had tried a few different devices and nothing seemed to work. The first time I turned this device on my cavoodle stopped barking, however the little Maltese Shitzu no response. I have learnt, that if I place the device facing a solid fence, it works immediately on her also. This works so well, I only have to say that I'll turn the box on and there is silence. I only use this device when we go out and the dogs are left outside. The device has a huge battery life. Easy to recharge via a USB. Now we have happy neighbors.

Bad customer service

The "free 30 days guarantee" is not real, the devices are not suitable for my situation when I requested for return or refund, they used any reasons/ excuses to decline your claim. Very unhappy and still have not received a refund or even any indication of one.

Barkbuddy is fantastic! My dog rarely barks now due to the frequency and love how you can put it just about anywhere indoors or outdoors! Highly recommend.

The product did not work for my dog

Wow! They even reported me for defamation on this review, the review is now back!!!! The product did not work for my dog. I requested a refund under the 30-day money-back guarantee and was first told to wait out the full 30 days, then required to complete a questionnaire.
After that, responses became slow and delayed. When I requested return details, this was also delayed.
I returned two Bark Buddys via Express Post on 29 December 2025 and am still waiting for my refund. Its now 13th Jan 2025. After multiple follow-ups, I was told they need to “confirm” the return, causing yet further delay.
Communication is extremely slow and the refund process feels unnecessarily drawn out.
Based on this experience, I do not recommend this company.

Shipping still...?

I ordered a bundle 2 weeks ago. I have emailed customer service twice, requesting an update on shipping as the status hasn't changed since ordering. I got a response saying that 'it would be shipped out soon'... week later and still nothing.

*Update*
I ordered on 05/12/2025, I contacted them around 4 days later via website as I had been given no follow-up information after purchase - they got back to me on 08/12/2025, Mathew said 'sorry for the delay, uptick in business and they are a small company and items would be shipped soon'.

I contacted Matthew again on  the 19/12/2025 - I enquired about shipping and time frame. I got a response on the 21/12/2025 from Mathew - 'sorry for the delay, uptick in business, small company and tracking information'.

By the 22/12/2025 my items were in transit and ultimately delivered.

For the amount spent, and how poor information was relayed at the very start of the transaction, I wouldn't buy from Canine Corner again sadly - it made me uneasy.

A great training aide!!

Been using one of these for a couple of weeks and there has been a vast improvement.
I don’t leave it on all the time and when I’m home, I try to give my dogs a vocal (“quiet”) cue if I think they’re about to bark and it’s working!
Today I went out and forgot to turn it on. I asked my neighbours if my dogs behaved and they did! No barking 🙌
Great training aide for sure.

It's fake everyone "free 30 days guarantee", the devices are not suitable for my situation when I requested for return or refund, they used any reasons/ excuses to decline your claim. Very disappointed. If you want to buy dogs barking devices, look elsewhere please.

Slowest shipping ever

Slowest shipping ever. Apparently from Geelong to Richmond it's taken over 2 weeks and my bark buddy still hasn't arrived. The tracker says it's been on its way for the past 5 days. They must be walking here to deliver it.
