After I read Canvas review, I like to respond that It appears to me they do not care about what their customer felt about the no good Plaid, I would ask why not give your customer the optiojn to add ACH fund with account # and routing # that is most financial institude do. YOU MIGHT GET SOME PROFIT FM PLAID BUT YOU WILL LOST YOUR CUSTOMERS.
The reason I gave 3 stars is because Canvas annuity use inefficent Plaid for funding. I would prefer to use routing # and account # to set up funding. Plaid prevent me to use my Vio bank account to fund the purchase. Sofi bank also use Plaid and I have very bad experience with Plaid. NO ONE SHOULD USE THEM

Canvas has a great system. Their software works well and makes setting up a new annuity VERY easy. I like that everything can be done online and the process is quick and easy. If you do need help their tech support actually knows what they are doing and can answer questions accurately. What a refreshing change!

The interest rates on all the annuities are very competitive. But the online system is very clunky. For instance, I have an existing annuity I want to use to fund a new one before rates decline, but I had to go through all the paperwork as if Canvas had absolutely no information on me. I was told this was necessary due to financial regulations. But if I had just let my annuity roll over into a new one at maturity, this would have happened automatically. How can both be true?

Funded a policy over 30 days ago and policy still shows as pending and no one can explain why. Call back from customer service never happened. I know they are just broker front end for Puritan Life but they seem very disconnected. Ok so second customer service person (Carrie) did a much better job and called me back and resolved the issue. I will give them to 5 stars and hope the first failure is not who they are.

My experience with Canvas has been good up until I needed to withdraw money from some accounts. I submitted surrender/withdrawal requests on 10/22/24 and received confirmation that they were received. I was told it would take up to 15 business days to process and get my funds back. On 11/7/24, 12 days into the 15 day process, I was notified via email that I forgot to attach missing info. I replied within an hour and 15 mins with the missing info via email attachment. They received that piece of info in about an hour and told me that someone from the conservation team would be reaching out shortly. It is now day 15 on 11/12/24. I haven't heard from anyone or received my money. 3 weeks is already a long time to make clients wait to get their money back. I've only had to wait around a week with the other financial institutions I dealt with in the past when it came to processing surrenders and sending checks out. The reason why people withdraw money is because they need it. It's not right when you make them wait longer than they have to to access their own money.

A note was sent to me stating Ally wants a wet signature. I immediately sent an email asking if funds could be transferred via wire...NO ANSWER.

I just purchased my 3rd annuity from Canvas. Their online process is straightforward and very easy to navigate. After researching annuities for non-Q funds, I found Canvas to have the most favorable interest rates. If you need guidance, they have financial professionals available to help you navigate through the process. This being my 3rd time, I was able to complete the process on my own in a short amount of time.
