Great for anyone starting out with video content creation

Brilliant customer service and awesome concept. It's not the easiest platform to make adjustments but not wildly complicated, you can tell the AI what you're after and it'll do it where capable. I like it!

The software makes creating captions super easy and they look really good. Customer service is very responsive.

I accidentally signed up for a monthly subscription to create a video avatar before I realized there was a free way to try this app. So I wrote to customer service to cancel that subscription and was pleased to get a positive response almost immediately. Such responsiveness is unfortunately rare for many online apps and services these days, so now I am far more inclined to trust this organization.

This is a pretty cool app however, the AI tool does not understand commands with even precise prompts. I would like them to fix that to make the experience better.

I recently subscribed to the MAX plan through desktop.captions.ai / captions.ai, based on the displayed price of $24.99 per month.

However, after reviewing the invoice the following day, I realized that I had been charged for a full year in advance. This was not what I intended to purchase, and I understood that I was signing up for a monthly subscription, with a payment of $24.99 charged each month and the option to cancel whenever I choose.
After I wrote to them, I received a complete refund and the option to make the deal again as I wanted.

Support pointed me in the right direction to solve my problems. Good at following up to ensure everything was working. The app works nicely.

I just used captions to create a video. I haven't uploaded videos for a long time, and using their platform made it really fun and exciting to create!

There are some imperfections going back and forth between the desktop version and the mobile version, but overall I would recommend it if you want a fun experience editing and also the option templates are very professional looking. You can even swap out the elements for your own, as opposed to being stuck with only the options they have. for example, I created certain elements in Canva, and then I uploaded it and swapped it in for what their AI generator recommended. Everything went smoothly.

The only thing is, I feel like it's a little too steep on the cost per month. BUT if you love customer support, they are *really* fast to reply, which is something I 110% appreciate!

They replied to any questions I had, and they were really fast even on a Friday.

If there was one thing I would request, it is to have weekly price options instead of a whole month. Perhaps I missed that somewhere?

Also, I don't see myself using this a lot because I don't create a lot of short-form content. My main content is focused on long-form, and I use DaVinci Resolve for that.

I downloaded the app and then got frustrated because it wasn't doing the AI edit and I just got captions, so, I wrote to them.and they immediately refunded my money. I also asked why I was not getting the full experience of the edit, and they told me it was because I was using android and I needed to use my mac. I will try it with my mac now and may resubscribe. I appreciated the fast replies on email, and the human Interaction as well as a no questions asked refund.

Love making videos using this app; captures my vision and saves a ton of time!

I needed a refound because of personal expectations and the help center was very good and . Captions is a really good app though and I recommend.

I have multiple things to share. First of all, thank you for resolving a small subscription issue where I accidentally subscribed to an annual plan instead of a monthly plan.
I use this platform to generate captions only, as I want to keep the utmost quality. Since they don't have an option to download captions only (without a video), I do a little trick: I export a black video with the audio (5bit, H264), I generate the captions with Captions.ai, download the video, and place it on a Premiere timeline, set the blending mode to Lighten, and voila! Since I generate in the Lithuanian language, I am very pleased with Captions.ai that it almost never made a single grammatical mistake. I'm quite impressed about that :)

Great idea, fairly flexible, but only really suits Reels and Shorts, especially when there is a desktop version that is not fully functional as it could be. Lacks options to choose what ratio you want to produce in until the end of the creation, then does not upscale so images are clean or in position. could do with extra features like a "save" on voice preferences and upscaling option at start, or ability to manually move image to position in the auto generated material.
