This dealer deserves minus stars

This dealer deserves minus stars, just didn't the option to make that selection. I purchased a vehicle (Vauxhall Zafira) from him over 6 months ago, the car had one problem after the other within a week of buying it. I missed work and travelled across London (4 hour round trip) to drop the car for repairs, done this 3 TIMES within one week, each time he promised the fault has gone but lo and behold it went wrong the very next day. He finally agreed to refund the money and take the car back. When I returned the car he sent over the money holding back £305, stating he will send this later. I have been calling, texting etc etc. He refuses to return my calls. After all the inconvenience and hassle he has the audacity to simply shrug people off. Talk is cheap without integrity. Do not be taken as a fool by all these so-called reviews, be careful with your hard earned money.

Simona is great, don't be (too) concerned with the negative reviews!

After my father passed away I put his car up for auction on Carwow. Simona from CarFinity came to collect the car two days later.

I was very impressed by Simona, she arrived on time, early in the day, checked over the car, took it on a test drive, collected the paperwork that I had, paid the asking price and went on her way.

In such a male-dominated car-world, what I liked about Simona was how she knew what was what under the bonnet and picked up on the car's failings that I was unaware of. It needed new brake discs and there was a worn bearing, and Simona told me that these and other problems would be fixed before the car is resold.

I joined Simona on the test drive and made some smalltalk, from which I conclude that she is a lovely woman, just doing her best in the car trade, and working hard. I thought I best leave a review because she was so nice, and I was genuinely shocked that there were such miserable reviews here!

Truth be told is that cars fall apart and rust to pieces. You get what you pay for and Simona and co specialise in small cars for first time buyers. I don't believe they are trying to con anyone, I just think that it is the nature of the product, cars just rot and rust, making it impossible to get a ten year old affordable car that genuinely has no issues.

My dad's car was only ever used to go to the supermarket and back, rarely going over 20mph, but this car - 'perfect' in my eyes - had issues that Simona spotted but I did not. These will be fixed up before the car gets sold, and this is how the business works.

Nobody writing negative reviews here cites the car they bought. With some cars, even if Jesus Christ was selling it on, it would still be a lemon worthy of a one star review. With other cars, even if Elon Musk was selling it, it would... Oh wait...

Anyway, it is all 'buyer be ware' in the auto trade, however, Simona is lovely, honest and great to do business with as a seller. There is nothing shady about her. And no, she didn't pay me to write this, she just turned up on time and did a good job!

Avoid at all costs

Avoid at all costs , haven’t been able to get in contact with “Adam” which I don’t believe is his real name after my research … got a few issues with the car been trying to get in contact since January but he was on holiday , and still his phone is off. I will be taking this further. Oh also the good reviews are fake 👍🏽

Update! Transmission gone. Going to Court!

Adam Norton finally replied to a formal letter stating all issues. Only took him 2 months. He asked for a breakdown of costs. We gave them and also informed him the transmission had gone so we really do want him to collect the car and refund us which is within our consumer rights. We had asked him to collect and refund at the start but here we are. He is still ignoring us. We have now taken him and the 2 directors of Carfinity to court. They have cost me not only thousands of pounds (over £7000) but my job due to not being able to get to work and now my home thanks to being massively in debt and financially unstable. No money, no car, no job and no home! I will look forward to being fully compensated.

Do not trust this dealer…

My son bought a premium vehicle from this dealer only to discover a month later that an unsafe repair has been made to one of the wheels. They have been welded and are buckled causing the tyre not to sit properly on the wheel. We have contacted Adam on several occasions and as others have stated there is no response. This is a serious issue and the car is not fit for purpose. It was only discovered because the front tyre kept losing pressure. It was taken for repair only to find the poorly repaired wheel. Trading Standards has been informed. We will pursue this dealer via the legal route if need be.

From the initial online enquiry we received a friendly phone call from the sales team. They discussed the option of a live video viewing which was very useful for us. We since went on and purchased the vehicle.
