Easy to place advert. It only needs one call and that’s what it took

The service from start to finish was very good indeed. The staff were very helpful giving advice as and when needed as this was my first auction. Very impressed

Using the Car & Classic Auction site worked very well for me. I had tried to sell my vehicle directly but this was taking a long time and I was constantly having interest which faded away. There are costs this way and you do need to have your vehicle looking pristine. Most of the bidding occured in the last hour with the auction being extended when bidders were 'sniping'. The team at Car & Classis were also following the auction and gave advice as it progressed. I had over 30 separate bidders and around 100 watchers. I got a very much better price than I had hoped.

I sold my classic car through the auction and at every stage in the process the staff were fantastic as well as keeping me up to date on the progress of the sale. There were a couple of minor delays but this was not due to a problem with Car and Classic. Their security was fantastic with regards to payment and handover procedures and every single staff member I dealt with were very professional and attentive throughout. Quick mention for Mohammed who dealt with the last part of the sale. He made sure that everything went through smoothly. Highly recommend this company.

It was easy to do my own advert on Car & Classic with plenty of advice including valuation tool. Car sold very quickly as reached the right audience. Would use again if ever I have another car that fits the script. Doing an auction was not for me due to some personal restriction but would certainly consider as an alternative way to sell that may have achieved a higher net sale price. Thank you C & C.

We recently used Car & Classic to bid on a vehicle and, unfortunately, found the overall process quite confusing and unclear.

During the auction, we were initially informed that we had been outbid. However, shortly afterwards, we received an email stating that we had won the auction. When we contacted Car & Classic for clarification, we were advised that as the bids had not met the seller’s reserve price, all bidders were invited to submit post-auction offers. Our offer was then accepted by the seller.

This process was not made clear at the time, and we were not aware that submitting an offer after the auction could result in a binding agreement. Greater transparency around how post-auction offers work would have been helpful.

Following this, we requested to cancel the transaction. Although we were required to pay the secure payment fee, the seller ultimately agreed to cancel, which we appreciated.

While we are grateful that the matter was resolved, the experience overall was unnecessarily complicated and could benefit from clearer communication and a more transparent bidding process.

Used to buy a private sellers car via auction. Getting funds to Mango account took a few attempts (my banks didn’t trust the account). And the process of releasing the funds on collection could have been detailed more specifically beforehand (you need to confirm collection from an email link and then confirm funds release from a second email- good for finance safety but not ideal when you are driving your new car!) 10% buyer fee and 10% seller fee seems a little high - but it worked well.

The advert was easy to place and reached the right people as the sale was made soon after the ad appeared.

A couple of clicks on the website, a phone call and a short form to complete. Then everything else was sorted. A photo session arranged and somebody to write the perfect information sheet for the auction. Easy access to the auction process online, and a secure way of transfering funds when your vehicle is sold. I found the whole experience straightforward and wouldn't hesitate to use Car & Classic again.

Everything worked as expected (great photos and write up). importantly, very responsive when i asked for clarification. What more do we want in a car auction provider. Well done.
