Selling a Best Buy Gift Card Scam...
I went to trade a Best Buy gift card for an Amazon gift card. After placing the sell order, they placed me under review for several hours. At the end, they declined me, saying their system flagged my transaction. I have used my real name, phone number, email address, and even my personal everyday debit card. What else do they need to verify?
I tried reaching out to their customer service to check if they need more info for verification, but they weren't any help. I even offered to provide my driver's license to help with verification, but they didn't say a thing about that. According to what many have experienced, I would say this is a scam.

Literally everything gets flagged as “high risk” and cancelled. Correct info, multiple payment methods, legitimate emails. What’s the point?

Wow, fantastic experience!
Had a few unused Lego gift cards and had never heard of Cardcash, or even knew trading/selling them was a thing! After doing some research on the company, etc decided to give it a whirl. Within three hours, my gift cards were accepted, and I had my new e-gift card of choice. It was that simple! I couldn't be happier, thanks so much!

They took all my personal bank account…
They took all my personal bank account information and went into my account and charged me just for me to get to the very next step and tell them my phone number is not on the list so they can’t complete my purchase. Like wtf. It’s giving fraud if you ask me. They have no real customer service or anything

Great prices, great customer service
I have always had great experiences buying from CardCash. Even when I made a large mistake after buying a very large priced gift card, by accident. They worked with me. Great customer service. I don’t have a negative thing to say using CardCash. Always been great!

Continuation of my inconvenience…
I had reviewed my inconvenience regarding a cardcash purchase attempt and lack of support with their phone or email. The company responded how their system is great and robust and went on advising me on what I should be doing to maintain a history yada yada. They did everything to prove how rightful they are, and it is all customer's fault.
But how did you miss the simple fact that your advise sounds similar to a company who offers a customer who wanted to buy a Mercedes Benz a suggestion to buy a beat up cheap car, before you even think of going higher up.
Please accept the fact that your system does not have the ability to validate a customer who wanted by an expensive card. I had provided my phone number and address and all it would required from your sophisticated security team to make a call and figure out who I am. You declined my multiple attempts with multiple cards when I tried my from my personal phone without a vpn. So there is no points for sugar quoting your inefficient process to handle expensive gift cards.
My review is to make sure that the company response to original review lacks any sincerity or attempt on cardcash's part to correct the situation, instead gloating over their security and the advise of creating a long term relation. You are selling something which I wanted to buy one time only, You could not do that. You had the opportunity to verify which you did not do.
Update 3: The company representative still responds the usual secondary market concerns, KYC and all financial jargons while deflecting from the actual issue. The customer is unable to buy an expensive product offered on your website.
Let me try and put it again.
You offered a product worth 2000$ to sell. I was willing to buy the product, providing my KYC (email, physical address, credit card) details. Your system flagged my transaction 6 times over multiple payment modes. I reached out to you via email, and phone before writing out the review in this forum to show the inefficiency of your process. Do not masquerade it with security and everything you are trying to deflect.
If your system has no ability to validate a customer who want's to by a $2000 gift card, and your continuous suggestion to buy a lower priced product, your business model is click and bait practice.
It is 4 business days from the date I tried to purchase and contacted your rep for the first time. It is a pity that your elusive security team do not have the ability to reach out to a concerned customer.
My ask is very simple. Since you flagged my account, I am expecting a call from your company (a person with decision making authority) and then assist me in completion of purchase of product you offered for sale after all KYC validations. That would show some genuine effort from your company to make things right, instead of hiding behind technology, algorithms as an excuse.

SCAM
Ordered a Sunglass Hut gift card advertised as $344 in value for $295. When I redeemed the gift card, it only had $9 on it. I reached out to customer service multiple times and didn’t get any response for two days.
If you want to end up paying full price for your items anyway—and waiting a week to get your money back—don’t waste your time on this website.

Updates with my card cash experience
Conversation with An Anonymous REPRESENTATIVE (since Card Cash tried to get my review taken down due to me using the rep's first name) from Card Cash update:
On June 25, Representative from Cardcash called me to argue Semantics with me over the phone. She wanted me to differentiate the WORD MEANINGS between
(1) gift cards - which have an applicable 2-year expiration date
And
(2) PREPAID MASTERCARDS - which are NOT subject to their 2-year expiration date
Just so everyone knows: These are prepaid mastercard debit cards and are legally not-protected for consumers.
Legally, CardCash stole from me through semantics.
Thank you for this word clarification, Representative from Card Cash!
here is a lovely email I received from prepaid customer support, which is a secondary company that card cash uses to issue the prepaid debit cards:
“Your expired cards cannot be accessed or replaced.
To ensure compliance with the cardholder agreement, any unspent funds are forfeited upon expiration and are not eligible for replacement beyond the expiration date. We apologize for any inconvenience but, we are not authorized to replace this account.
The card(s) you’re asking about is not a Gift Card, it is a reward Prepaid Debit Card that expires at the end of the month and year printed on the front/back of the physical card and was available to see immediately inside the digital wallet for virtual cards. It was funded using corporate funds.
Rules and regulations that apply to reward prepaid cards differ from those applied to gift cards or cards you can purchase and fund with your own money. Upon expiration of a prepaid card, any unused funds are forfeited.
This information was provided inside the Terms and Conditions that was to be read and agreed upon during the redemption process and was also provided inside the mail that was sent for a physical card.
Take care,
Prepaid Customer Support”
My two-cents: if anyone wants to use card cash for your unused gift cards, don’t. They stole from me extensively by playing stupid word-use games. I do hope this message helps others in choosing a different company. They had significant problems with the BBB before, if you look into their history, and they monitor their reviews extensively. The fact that the Representative from Card Cash had the audacity to argue with me that they did not steal from me due to the definitions used, is sad. That’s not customer service, and I’m not letting this go anytime soon.
Final Word of caution: after arguing over email for weeks, they re-issued one gift card. Unfortunately, the funds in the giftcard were utterly used up by maintenance fees and reactivation fees. These people are thieves, In my opinion of course!
Complete scam.
Absolutely terrible customer service. I purchased a gift card, only to find that the card had already been redeemed. I took a screenshot and emailed them, because their website says there's a 45 day money back guarantee on cards with a balance discrepancy. They asked me to try again. I did. They said that the card should be brand new, and that it is against their policy to take returns. I said that the car clearly is not brand new if it has already been redeemed. They asked me to try again, so I did. I took another screenshot, and emailed them back. They, once again, said that the card is brand new, and that it is against their policy to take returns. It's gone back and forth like that for about a week now.
Just an absolutely awful company that clearly thinks false advertising bears no consequence.
