Bad Support

Bad Support. Scheduled a payment and they wont act on it until the last minute (literally days before the scheduled payment) and requested more details, after sending the details, no follow-up, nothing. Resulting in missed payment. Second time, decided to reach out early to check, raised a ticket and it was automatically closed immediately, reason given was 'didnt hear from me', but I didnt even get any request/reply from them. SUCKS.

Better to just use bank's payment for miles point.

Misleading practices and unethical handling of complaints

I had a very disappointing experience with CardUp. They reneged on a referral promo code and tried to justify it by claiming they had sent me a reminder email that I supposedly “opened twice.” I never received nor opened such an email — using unreliable email tracking as “evidence” against customers is misleading and unfair.

When I raised my concerns, CardUp did not take responsibility or offer goodwill. Instead, they hid behind fine print and excuses. For a financial service, this lack of transparency and accountability is unacceptable.

What made matters worse is how they handled my feedback. Instead of resolving the issue, they asked me to revise or delete my review — an unethical request that calls into question their integrity. Later, they even contradicted themselves publicly, denying they ever do this, despite having written it to me directly.

CardUp’s actions show that their priority is protecting their reputation, not genuinely serving customers. If they mislead users over small promotions, how can they be trusted with bigger financial matters? I strongly caution others to think twice before relying on their services.
