Would be a 5 star as the assessor was brilliant he really took his time and had patience with me during actual assessment, the only thing which was annoying was the amount of time the whole process... See more

Really unhappy with my experience, was diagnosed 7 months ago and then completely left on my own to deal with things. I submitted my titration request in January and nothing has happened since then, even though it was advised I would be waiting 12 weeks maximum. My emails are being ignored and live chat advisors just keep telling me to wait.
I have friends who went via Harrow Health whose experience has been rounded off in 3 months start to finish- I would recommend using them so that you aren't abandoned

This is a review about the Right To Choose children assessment:
Our referral for dual assessment was accepted on 10.04.2026. According to the ADHD UK website waiting times now should be 6 weeks, when we signed up it was 4 weeks. The questionnaires were sent to us on 30.04.2026. All questionnaires were submitted back in a very timely manner, but we yet have to hear back from them more than 3 month later. Trying to contact them is extremely difficult. There is no answer on the telephone and communication via email is very delayed. I am still waiting for a reply to an email I sent 15 days ago! There was no communication after we submitted the questionnaires, not even an automated receipt. Due to the poor response time and lack of clear customer communication and due to the fact that they are not keeping the promised wait time, I don't feel I can give any more than 2 stars at the moment.

The initial assesment was a good experience although fast forward 7 months, I am still waiting for a call to discuss treatment. After making several calls, each time I was told a longer wait time. It appears that Care ADHD only 'care' about the diagnosis, not the treatment. I feel let down and frankly like this is a scam.

Very disappointing experience with the Under 18s service. I want other parents to be aware of the difficulties I have experienced. My son was referred through the NHS Right to Choose pathway, but I have been unable to complete his registration because of an issue with the email address on his account. Despite this being a simple problem to fix, it has been impossible to get help.
I have called the Under 18s phone number many times, often waiting on hold for over 30 minutes, but nobody ever answers. Eventually the call disconnects. I have tried this repeatedly over several days with exactly the same result.
I also contacted the live chat, only to be told they cannot help with children's services. I submitted contact forms and sent emails, but received no meaningful response. I was even told that my case had been forwarded to the dedicated Under 18s team and that they would contact me as soon as possible. Weeks later, I am still waiting and nobody has contacted me.
It is extremely frustrating and stressful when you are trying to access an important ADHD assessment for your child. Families should not have to spend hours on the phone, send multiple emails, and chase responses just to fix a simple registration issue.
I hope CARE ADHD improves its communication and customer support, because at the moment parents are left with no reliable way to get help when something goes wrong. I expected a much better level of service, especially for children and families relying on NHS referrals.

Did not take long to wait for an appointment. Very thorough assessment. Did not take long to write up initial assessment. Just waiting for their final amended copy for them to send to me and my GP.

I don't like leaving negative reviews, but after months of trying to get answers, I don't have much choice. I would strongly urge anyone who values transparency and communication to look elsewhere.
Assessment was in late December 2025 and diagnosis in early January 2026. All forms completed within a day or two of receipt, and receipt of the forms confirmed in early Feb (note the waiting time starts from here, so that's another month's wait post diagnosis that's not taken into account).
Since then, communication has been extremely disappointing.
Every request for an update has received the same generic response (and I fully expect the same response to this); I have repeatedly asked straightforward questions, such as whether my case is still awaiting review, whether any further information is required, and what stage of the process I am currently at. All received a generic reply.
I submitted a formal complaint, but didn't receive any material answers to my queries. My GP has also contacted Care ADHD on my behalf, and the response was that my case would only be considered for prioritisation if I was experiencing a decline in my mental health. While I understand that services have long waiting lists and must prioritise patients based on clinical need, this did not address my concerns or provide any information about the status of my case.
I appreciate that demand for ADHD services is exceptionally high and I am not expecting to bypass other patients. My frustration is not simply with the length of the wait, but with the lack of transparent, case-specific communication. Knowing where I am in the process, or whether there are any outstanding issues preventing progress, would make a significant difference.
I hope Care ADHD can improve communication with patients who are waiting for treatment. Long waits are difficult enough without feeling that you cannot obtain even the most basic information about your own care.
Approximately 2 weeks marks the 'up to 6 months' wait mentioned on Care ADHD's website (note this was up to 12 weeks not too long ago). I don't hold out any hope that this target will be met.
I'm not asking for waiting times to be drastically reduced, I'm asking for transparency. A realistic indication of the remaining wait and where patients are in the process would set expectations far better and avoid months of uncertainty.
***EDITED TO ADD***
Care ADHD have removed NHS Right To Choose titration wait times from their website entirely, and replaced with 'We’ll be in touch as soon as we’re ready to book you in'.
This strongly suggests that if you're waiting, you're looking at more than the 3-6 months previously stated, as they have lost control of providing any kind of realistic timescales.

After successfully completing all my paperwork it turns out that my assessment has been blocked by ICB caps. While CARE ADHD are not at fault for these caps I do wish that there was someway of tracking your application with this provider. The hassle I had to go through to find this out has caused a lot of stress and bother. Emails unanswered, phone lines jammed, eventually worked it out via chat. BUT if there was a way to track you assessment progress no of that would've been required.

Peter did an amazing job at making me feel welcomed and to be myself. He took time and care with the questions and made sure I full understood what we were gonna be talking about and how long it would take. The response time for all of the process was incredible and the service they have provided has really helped me understand myself better and I'm grateful for the time they've taken to help me out.

When you manage to speak to the actual doctors, they are great, and I have felt listened to during those appointments. Unfortunately, the communication and the waiting times in between have been really disappointing and far outside the timelines I was given at the start of this journey.
I received my diagnosis in October after an already long initial wait. Before starting medication, I was asked to provide an ECG, which I submitted weeks ago, but I still haven’t heard anything back or received my first prescription. YOU GET FULLY IGNORED - 5 EMAIL CHASERS UNANSWERED.
Emails sent: 22nd June, 29th June x 2, 6th July, 14th July to 3 different email addresses! Clinical Care Hub, Care Team and Triage. Just automated responses.
The clinical side has been positive, but the admin, communication, and follow-up have made the overall experience really frustrating. When you are waiting for medication and trying to manage day-to-day life, the lack of updates makes the process feel much harder than it needs to be.

From my RTC referral to diagnosis was less than 1 month, however since sending back the Tritration request forms I have heard nothing, I understand there is a backlog and waiting list, but once you receive the report and send back the medication request NOTHING, it would be nice to be provided with an update or something as it causes so much anexity waiting and waiting. There seems to be no system on how long people wait for medication, some get an appointment instantly and others have waited more than 6 months. Im 8 weeks into waiting for medication and Ill probably still be waiting for another few months. Whilst my assessor was wonderful, and understanding, the rest of the service is disapointing.

We asked our GP for a referral to Care ADHD UK based on the short waiting times.
The referral took place 4 weeks ago and we have not heard a sound from the company.
I tried calling twice last week only to be cut off twice after 30 minutes wait.
I accessed the online service only to be told that because I'm enquiring for a child, they can't help me.
I spent 1.5 hours on the phone this morning waiting for someone to pick up and got cut off. Now I've been on the phone for 2 hours and 20 minutes and still no answer. It is an absolute joke.

I am incredibly disappointed with the lack of care and communication from CARE ADHD. I feel completely neglected as a patient. My ADHD and anxiety are currently severe, leaving me with racing thoughts, an inability to relax, and terrible insomnia.Instead of receiving the support I desperately need, I have been left waiting with no clear updates or help. The ongoing delays are taking a massive toll on my mental health. I am now forced to look into switching to a different provider just to get basic care. I would not recommend this service to anyone who needs timely or reliable mental health support.

The company lost original referral paperwork
Communication very poor at every stage of the process - if you can eveb work out what the process is.
Unrealistic and misleading waiting times - advertised a few weeks - took 9 months
In order to even be considered for meds, had to complete online forms (although the original email requesting them was never sent!) despite them saying it would take an hour had to get a non neurdivergent to help and even then it took them almost 5 hrs - do they even understand their audience?
Insistance on a rediagnosis for ADHD despite already having one - just needed medication
When finally triaged, replied to the consultant who had left the company, messages were not redircted causing further delays

I am extremely disappointed and concerned by my experience with ADHD Care.
I received an ADHD diagnosis through this service, but after being given such a significant and life-changing diagnosis, nobody checked in to ask how I felt about it, what support I needed, or how I was coping. After the diagnosis, communication completely stopped.
I have sent numerous emails requesting help and support, but I have been ignored. For a service working with people who may already be struggling with their mental health and daily functioning, this lack of follow-up is unacceptable and, in my view, potentially dangerous.
Since using this service, I have felt increasingly unsupported and my mental health has deteriorated. I have reached a point where I have frequently been thinking about suicide, and instead of feeling supported after seeking help, I feel abandoned.
A diagnosis should not be the end of the process. People need guidance, communication, and ongoing support afterwards. I hope this feedback leads to urgent improvements, because others seeking help deserve a safer and more compassionate service.
