Having an expert on your side
Over time I think I have asked the CarExamer guys to check out at least half a dozen vehicles for me for one simple reason.
I'm not an expert and they are.
Using time-served experience and expertise they have managed to stop me from buying cars that , even taking into negotiating on the price, would not be worth fixing up, one's where MOTs had obviously been fudged and where the dealership cancelled the sale once he knew I was getting an independent inspection.
On this occasion, a phone call from Klavs during the inspection itself was enough to learn that the car was misrepresented and my son and I avoided purchasing a total mess as his first drive

Great service
Great service. I will honestly never purchase a van/car in the future without using this service. The mechanic gave me a really detailed report. I was buying a second hand van on a budget and was given piece of mind that overall it was in good condition. I also know what work needs doing after purchase. It really takes the stress out of buying a vehicle. Worth every penny!!!

These clowns made me wait 3 hours and never turned up. Apparently the lady cancelled beforehand and neither bothered to notify me of this. Surely if you can send me an email to confirm an appointment, you can send another to notify me of any cancellations. Terrible communication and organisation. Just wasting peoples time. Avoid these donuts. There's plenty of bad reviews saying the same thing. Next time if someone wants to buy my car, they can meet me at a garage or bring their own mechanic down. I'm not entertaining these type of shenanigans. What an unnecessary service

Charged full amount even though vehicle sold
Booked inspection. Garage sold vehicle before they inspected. They were told this by garage when phoned to arrange visit but still charged me full amount and wouldnt move inspection to another vehicle. Very helpful. Ill stick to AA / RAC

YOUR RIGHT TO CHANGE OR CANCEL AN ONLINE BOOKING
You can cancel or reschedule your online booking at any time through the Platform before an Inspector accepts your booking.
You have the right to cancel a booking without charge when giving a minimum of 4 hours’ notice before the scheduled arrival time specified in the booking.
If less than 4 hours’ notice is given, we reserve the right to make a late cancellation charge of £60 on behalf of the Inspector.
You do not have a right to change or cancel a Vehicle Inspection if less than 2 hours left to arrival time or once the Vehicle Inspection has commenced, or has been completed, and in those circumstances the full inspection fee will be payable.
To change or cancel an online booking please let us know through the Platform (your account).
In event of cancelation where extra data is added only inspection booking fee will be refunded due to vehicle data is available instantly via email and in your platform account.

The date was changed with no call back
The date was changed from the day I requested, on a number of emails I tried to keep it but it was changed anyway.
The mechanic never called me as part of the inspection even after requesting this!
Also the car is chain driven and and not belt as the inspection stated.
Very dissatisfied with three important tasks not completed .
