Designer price, bargain-basement build quality

Bought a Carisa towel radiator via a radiator seller and when it arrived (direct from Carisa, so no blame on the seller), the packaging was so poor that the towel rail component was bent and I had to pull it out straight again. The build quality is awful, clearly just sectional aluminium, carelessly cut to length so several rough, shiny cut edges show on a black radiator. Cheap, poorly made brackets just punched into the back with self-tapping screws that pulled out the second you put any sort of force into them, which you have to do because the brackets require an insert that is so stiff they have to be attached using something to tap them on with. My radiator had some poorly-filled holes on the back where someone had clearly drilled in the wrong place for the towel holder and then just filled the holes in and moved on. The mounting system is ridiculous, and if you’re mounting to copper I genuinely don’t see how you would mount the rad and still be able to line it up with the pipes. Awful build quality, non-existent quality control, terrible packaging and poorly-thought out mounting design. For what they cost I feel like I’ve been utterly ripped off. Avoid like the plague.

Carisa Boreas Vertical Electric Radiator

Carisa Customer Service is very good, they called immediately to explain how the radiator works, but I am really unimpressed with the product.
We purchased the Carisa Boreas Vertical Electric Radiator and the "smart" thermostat is really complex to use, even once we'd found the instructions online! I find the Smart Life app much easier to navigate (to set the programmes). I wish they would make the settings set on the app mirror those on the smart thermostat.

Smart Radiators, Personalised Service

Extremely pleased with our new radiators. They look very smart and excellent quality. One of the radiators arrived with an issue. The customer service from Carisa was outstanding in resolving the issue. They offered immediate resolution. Quality checked the new one and delivered it personally the very next day! First class, personalised service. Thank you.

Amazing range of designs and styles.

I needed to buy 8 radiators for a private house redevelopment where 3 were for bathrooms of various different decorative styles. I had a great choice of designs from Carisa and all 3 bathroom ones were dual fuel, ranging from very contemporary to Victorian design.
I appreciated the time they took to explain the differences between steel and aluminium radiators - very helpful when I was explaining things to my client. Their years of experience was obvious from the technical knowledge and tips!
All the products were delivered quickly and in good condition and their customer service was excellent.
I wouldn't hesitate in going back to Carisa.

Amazing customer service.

What a great experience I've had with Carisa. From start to end the customer service was top notch. Can't fault the quality of the product at all, would be using again when needed and recommending to everyone.

Technically incompetent or stupid

Technically incompetent or stupid. In any case, they couldn't care less about customers.

Six years ago, I bought two designer radiators for €3500. Not exactly cheap. The heat output specified in the technical data was 3300W at dT/50°. That should have been easy enough, the old radiators had less.
Unfortunately, however, the flat never really got warm, and additional heating was always needed when the outside temperature was below zero. Adjusting the heating circuit and other measures were unsuccessful.

Whilst looking for new radiators, I checked the Carisa again ... what can I say, now they only had 800W at dT/50°! The same radiator! What the heck!

Maybe Carisa, no one told you that sizing and ordering such things is based on technical data. So this data has to be 100% correct. And if you discover it is not, why didn't you take action and inform distributors and customers?

And by the way, thank you for not answering my / my distributors request for explanation since weeks. That is really customer service at it's best.

As of today I received an answer from my supplier. Carisa wrote them, the tech data wasn't correct because of a PRINTING ERROR. Honestly?
Imagine Carisa supplying thousands of radiators to a large bureau complex build with wrong data; they will be sued into bankruptcy ...

People, don't buy this stuff, the data is not reliable, the people are not communicative. And by the way, the radiators are not made in UK they are welded in Turkey.

TERRIBLE CARISSA

I bought a carissa radiator ( Very Expensive) about 9 months ago, and it arrived damaged , I contacted the company I bought it from, and I eventually got to send the radiator back to Carissa ( better packaged than it was sent to me , or they wouldn't accept the return...go figure), I purchased it in December 2022 sent it back the same month, didn't get my replacement until february, now 6 months later it's developed a leak, PLEASE don't waste your time with this company,

If I could give this company zero stars…

If I could give this company zero stars I would. I bought 2 Carisa radiators costing £1300. When they arrived, one radiator was faulty with a loose part. When we called Carisa, they said the plumber must have damaged it despite it being like that in the box! The radiators leak from the valve due to poor threads and don't heat up properly. They crackle and make noises. Carisa will not do anything and blame the fitting, saying its impossible for there to be a fault with their radiators. Total waste of money. Definitely avoid!

DON'T BUY A CARISA RADIATOR

We bought a Carisa Radiator in the UK. It 'crackles' and 'pops' very loudly when it gets hot, so The Heating Boutique referred us to Carisa carisaradiators.co.uk. Ha Ha.

They claim it hasn't been fitted correctly, so we had it taken off the wall and held. It continued to crack loudly. So actually it's the radiator not the fitting and they won't do anything about it, so we have had to put up with the loud noises.

Eventually we went out and bought a radiator from a different manufacturer and it is quiet. We wasted our money on Carisa.

Don't buy one unless you like a drummer in the background.
