Had such a lovely workshop by Carla with my mum for an early Mother’s Day gift. It was so therapeutic, great to step through with a demonstration first and advice on brushstrokes and water techniques.

Carla is so lovely, we enjoyed chatting away in between the demonstration's. We were kindly brought refreshments from the Apple Store Cafe and could hear the birds tweeting away in addition to the relaxing/ nostalgic music being played. A perfect way to spend the weekend, would definitely recommend.

My daughter gave me this workshop gift for Christmas.
I came as a beginner as I have never done watercolour painting before.
I can't thank Carla enough, for the wonderful experience. She was so patient at demonstrating and explaining every detail. The time flew by so quick, ( as it does when you are enjoying yourself) I could have gone on all day painting things that i never thought i would, or could. I thoroughly recommend attending this workshop. & thank you, to Carla, and to my daughter for a most wonderful gift.

We throughly enjoyed our watercolour workshop with Carla. She explained techniques very clearly and we had great fun testing those techniques out! Carla is an absolutely lovely person and I would highly recommend her watercolour course.

My husband treated us to Carla's Watercolour Workshop for Beginners as a Valentine Present. It was a great environment to work in and Carla has such a lovely teaching style. She is gentle and encouraging but also able to give clear guidance in how to start using watercolours. I have struggled to use paints for many years and came away having more clarity and confidence in using them. Highly recommended.

Carla is a lovely teacher and host. I was made to feel very welcome and the whole experience was great from start to finish. I enjoyed the opportunity to explore and develop new skills and techniques. I liked that I had some finished pieces to take away and it made me want to try to develop this as a hobby.

What a lovely time my wife and I had learning to use water colours with Carla. She was so helpful, friendly, patient and encouraging as we tried to copy her techniques. After two hours, which flew by, thanks to Carla's help we were able to produce some paintings that could be termed passable!! Really recommend the experience.

Carla creates an atmosphere that is tranquil and serene - the perfect environment for artist juices to flow. She gentles nurtures you into believing you can create - no need for perfection - just allowing things to flow. Carla is massively talented in her own right, whilst her humility and warmth allowed me, as an absolute beginner to enjoy the whole creative experience.

Carla's watercolour workshop was a brilliant experience. It was held in her studio/shop, in a beautiful part of Wyresdale Park. I was part of a small group so there was plenty of time to ask questions and practice techniques. Carla shared which paints and paper she uses, so what we had learnt can be practised at home. It was a friendly, welcoming and relaxed environment and I would do the course again.
