Would personally avoid
I bought a Land Rover Freelander 2 in December 2024 from Cars of London. Everything went smoothly, and the car was delivered free to my home. It, however, turned out that the Freelander wasn't actually working as a 4x4, only with power to the front wheels, as I got stuck in a slightly muddy field. I was advised I didn't need to tax the vehicle, but as this is not legal, I did tax it. In fairness to Grant, he took the car back in January, with no quibbles. I then attempted to obtain the tax refund from DVLA, which has been an ongoing saga, as Grant never registered the vehicle in my name. Since I wasn't officially the owner, I also needed Cars of London to confirm that it had been registered to me, which they haven't done after various emails. He sold the car less than a week later, presumably as a 4x4, as a recent email from him stated that the 4x4 fault had never been proven; there was no need to add this detail to the email.
