Easy to get a quote

Easy to get a quote, book the car in. When I called the office, really helpful and the person who collected the car was really helpful too. Money in my account the next day. Process was really smooth, and pain free!

Joke valuation

Dont get me wrong, the website works well and the process is smooth. The lady I spoke to was professional and friendly. No complaints on any of that....however....if you offer £1010 online and then on the call I get offered £348 rising to £500 with no new information is a joke. I get that the initial offer is only a guide but to more than half the offer is rediculous. Proves the opening offer exists solely to get people to call with no regard given to the original quote. Sorry but I won't go with you out of principle after that.

Update following reply. All issues (such as the warning light) with the car were mentioned on the original online form. So claims to the opposite are simply not true.

Great experience

Great experience. I had my doubts because I'd not previously used the company; I'd found them doing a Google search. I'm very happy I gave them a go because it was a great experience. I got an instant quote, and the car was collected a few days later, being given an approximate time the day before and then another call 20 minutes before arrival. The car was quickly loaded onto their truck, and the quoted payment was made by close of business, with the destruction certificate arriving a few days later. I'd definitely recommend them.

Not such an easy process after all

Summary of experience:
- Chose service based on needing to shift the car promptly with a simple process advertised by company.
- Offered reasonable quote via email accepted.
- Called by 'local' collector who tried to lowball reducing quote by half before they'd even seen/heard about the car's condition. Claimed they were based 'a long way away' from my address, pressing me to give an offer for them to beat. Eventually agreed new offer after much hassle, didn't provide written confirmation of this though.
- Collection date delayed by two days only communicated on the original due date.
- Got subsequent call post-collection grumbling about a noise the car was making trying to fish for information, when price/collection had already been completed & full disclosure of details on MOT fail already disclosed to collector at the point of offer.
- No instruction of where to submit payment details, leading to delay in payment by two days. Had to chase up via central Customer Service. Collector claimed that they had attempted to get in touch with me to sort (they hadn't)
- Payment received £5 less than agreed verbally. Customer service instructed I would need to sort directly through collector. Due to previous unhelpful comms decided to avoid any further bother of trying to get this sorted.
- Customer service was prompt to try and sort throughout the process where issues arose, but sheer number of issues & issues in accountability/communication with the collector means I would not reccomend CarTakeBack.

Took ages to to collect car.
Didnt tell me it could take upt 3 working days to be paid.
Howver when i rang them thesaid they would try to pay quickly money came innext morning than

Waited in all afternoon and did not…

Waited in all afternoon and did not turn up, no phone call nothing. Called to be told I would receive a call back, again nothing. Don't waste your time use another service.

As you can see from the reply, someone was going to call to sort this out. It never happened. Appalling customer service, avoid this company.

UPDATE: No-one has contacted me regarding this afer many emails and trying to call. Avoid using this company, they don't care about you and will avoid talking to you when you have a complaint.

Poor service make you wait for days

Poor service make you wait for days , after online evaluation they offer you 50% less. Absolute crooks , they work with redcorn scrap company and offer you scrap money without even looking at car. Will not recommend avoid , all the positive feedbacks are fake
