Caruk

Scam. Be careful out there guys!

Same scam as everyone else. Even exactly the same sentence.

Caruk. Have literally just received the very same message. Have given them nothing expcept to say that all information about the car is on the advert. Then deleted and blocked . DON'T FALL FOR IT!

I received the same message at 2am, luckily I looked on here first, well done everyone for posting about this. These people shouldn’t be allowed to get away with this, this has got be prosecutable by law and should be investigated, some people are not as savvy as us and is possible they will fall for it. Gumtree needs to look at this somehow!
Well done peeps for getting this out there 👍

Thanks everyone for the informing about the scam! Am gana block it!

I received exactly the same massage while I was selling my car, it is total scam don't fall for it, when I tried to text them back saying"your massage and your number had been reported to the police" didn't go through as if doesn't exist. So delete it immediately.

Same as everyone. Its just a scam. I received the same message as previous reviewers. Do not give them any details.

I got a message on WhatsApp after putting my car up on gumtree.. the same as everyone else!! Don’t by into it.

Scam. Had the same message as others after listing my car on gumtree: "Hi. I liked your car
Send me a PDF file with a full car history report
If the car is clean according to the report, I am ready to come these days and buy car, but first I want to get a full report
You can check for ex. here caruk.uk". Haven't actually opened the webpage but I assume they will phish your payment details and rinse your account.

Just had the same message as most of you, advertised on Gumtree and received WhatsApp message this morning “liked your car , send me a full pdf report etc etc”. Thought it was a scam and checked TrustPilot and saw that it indeed was a scam. Well done everyone who posted on here. The more we react to these scams then we contribute to closing them down. But unfortunately some will be taken in.

Experience follows the same as other reviews here, same message at 4am from a mobile number:
Haven't checked site, this trustpilot at 1 star was first on the search results!

Hi. I liked your car
Send me a PDF file with a full car history report
If the car is clean according to the report, I am ready to come these days and buy car, but first I want to get a full report
You can check for ex. here caruk.uk

THE SAME MESSAGE WAS RECEIVED ON THE PHONE SEND AT 3 AM IN THE MORNING.

SCAM! Received below after advertising on Gumtree. Avoid.

Should have an option for -*.
They abuse of people with good intentions.
I am selling my car on Gumtree and had the message, seemed to be a real website, I went on and nothing happen. Thanks God I noticed it straight way and cancel the card.
When we will have some security on this new world?
Police has been alerted.

Clear cut scammers I gave member piece of my mind on their WhatsApp message clear-cut criminals

Similar to other reviewers. My phone number was obtained through Gumtree by a scammer/criminal who pretended to be interested in buying my car. S/He wanted a hpi report from caruk.uk for 95p before they would come to view the car. My cards were rejected by the website, but they have my details. After checking Trustpilot reviews, I immediately blocked my cards. It's amazing how these criminals continue to get away with this.
