It’s been a horrible nightmare!
I was rear ended December 23,2025 on my way to work. I had previously bought a car from carvana and had zero issues. So I bought from them again. But this time, I’ve had nothing but problems with them.
The first vehicle I chose was inspected by my mechanic who advised to return it because the front end was covered in rust. I found a second vehicle that my mechanic said looked ok. Both vehicles were delivered late. One attempt was because of the weather, but the other two times it was obvious that someone hadn’t done what they were supposed to have done.
The front passenger window has bubbles in it and is blurry. After fighting with them, they sent a check to cover.
I came out of work one morning to go home and the back window on the driver’s side was down halfway. I contacted Carvana, who told me I was still in my 100 days warranty. They asked for the mileage but my car was at my mechanic’s shop and I was at work. So I didn’t have access to giving them accurate mileage. At no point in this conversation did they tell me the window wouldn’t be fixed because of the mileage. They told me to take it to one of their shops and the shop would start the process with their insurance to get it fixed. I dropped it off this morning to only be told that because of the mileage, they refused to cover it. They could have said a lot of times on my part and the mechanic had they actually said something last week.
When I was waiting for my car to be delivered, they had to keep increasing the mileage so that I wouldn’t go over each time the delivery was delayed.
Now, I’m stuck with a vehicle with a broken backseat window and a faulty tire sensor light. I’m calling Carvana tomorrow to see if I can talk to the woman who was in charge of my case initially because she used her brain, was respectful and actually gave a crud about all the issues I was dealing with. Everyone else has horrible customer service.

I was low balled on the price. I work from home so my tires had less than 500 miles on it. It had a new battery that I put in in March.

I’ll start with full disclosure here. I had purchased from Carvana back in 2019 and had no problems. But wow my mistake became pretty evident right away on my recent purchase last month and it has left me devastated. I had to have my vehicle repaired twice in the first week. Now it needs to go back in for transmission work on a car that is only 3 years old. They do not inspect these vehicles and it is literally dumb luck if get a reliable vehicle from them. I called customer service and was told I could not return the vehicle and they could do nothing for me. Buyer beware. The convenience is nice but if you have any issues your only option is to work with Carvana’s approved mechanics and they are terrible! I will no longer recommend Carvana to anyone.

Unwilling to honor contract agreements
First they approached me about selling my high end AMG CLS63s and we reached agreement unfortunately with my airline scheduling I had to reschedule the pickup sale and the car had the exact same mileage as it did, they reduced the amount by 4 thousand due to original offer expiring. Completely nonsense especially with nothing changing on the car especially the mileage. Honestly this is how they do business. Not worth a 4 k hit. Go somewhere else.

Can charge you extra repair costs after you sell it and won't let you delete your account
Make sure to read the fine print of their agreements. I almost sold my car with them, but they tried to force me to sign the agreement that said if they couldn't sell my vehicle (if you sell it to them "as is") they could charge me additional repair costs and costs for holding it. I didn't want any surprises so I decided to sell it privately instead.
They also hold on to your personal information and won't let you delete your account. When I tried to delete it (after deciding that I wasn't going to sell to them) through their app, they told me that I couldn't delete it and I got an email that said that they were going to hold on to my personal information..

Unsafe vehicle
I had bought a ford ecosport se through Carvana. Online it passed all the inspections and seemed like an amazing car. Upon getting the car. Shortly afterwards a recall popped up. My car breaks down because of it Had to take it to the dealership to get fixed. They then tell me my brakes are bad and so are my tires. How did this pass inspection? I get my car back from the dealership and the check engine light comes on. Now its the thermostat that needs replacement. Then my car breaks down coming home from work. It's now May 2026 and my car has been in the shop since March 2026. The mechanic that works with Carvana/SilverRock cant seem to figure out what's wrong with my car Ive spent $3700 on repairs,towing and rental fees and still dont have a working car. The loan company is on me to pay my loan for a car that shouldn't have been sold to me. This has ruined my credit and ive missed so much work over this. My gap coverage only covers if im in an accident and the car is totaled.

Carvana canceled my pickup
I scheduled my pickup three days in advance. Carvana canceled my pickup three hours before they were scheduled to arrive. Chat support barely helped and I ended up having to drive my car 40 minutes away to Carvana. Zero apologizes - and nothing to make up for my time. I asked for a fuel gift card and was told no. The staff at the physical location were nice, quick and helpful. The process was painless - but canceling the pickup was very frustrating.
