Awful experience! We arrived a bit late to pick up our car in Chania, having prepaid for the week ahead. They claimed we were a ‘no show’ without even trying to contact us. They refused to give us a car, wouldn’t give us a refund and didn’t try to help find a solution - we ended up hiring a car from another agency. Totally unethical behaviour and total lack of customer service - avoid them!

Booked a car for a few weeks at the Athens airport branch. Everything went smoothly. Spyros is a real asset to the team, very polite and efficient. Thanks!

I guess that 3rd time are also the lucky time for this agent.
I made the booking in my GF name but with my card.
1st we are charged for adding an additional driver so we are able to pay the remaining costs

2nd they give us a car with a smaller trunk than what we ordered. We are forced to take a dirty car from the last guests to be able to bring our luggage.

3rd and finally the pickup guy charge for scratches we didn't make.

At least we bought full insurance 😅

Greetings from CA family of three, place was great Harris and Dimitri were wonderful hosts. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly. We came from Athens airport it was just to the right of the last exit. When we got to the van he was very friendly and helpful. good conversation even taught us a few words. overall had a great experience with all the staff. The car was great and clean.

My wife, little sons (11 months and 3 years old) have rented a car from Carwiz in Athens for almost two weeks. The pick-up from the airport worked, however it was a little bit difficult to find the shuttle-bus. The driver was really nice and helped us with our luggage. After a couple of minutes we arrived at the Carwiz station. The staff there was also gentle and attentive and informed us that we have to wait for our rental car as we arrived a little early and the car was still on the road with the prior tenant. Unfortunately, after half an hour it turned out, that the prior tenant was running really late and as all other cars in our class were booked, we had to wait for another 2,5 hours. Of course we were pretty annoyed by the situation, but after some discussion with the Carwiz team they made some concessions to us. The return of the rental was smooth.
All in all the rental process did not run as smoothly as usual, but the Carwiz team tried to find an acceptable solution for all of us. Therefore an mediocre rating is from my point of view fair.

Amazing car rental company. We picked up a van from the Athens airport and dropped it at the Piraeus Port. Very good service and super convenient. Initially we were a bit skeptical because of some negative reviews, but these reviews are completely different from the real experience. The call service and especially Miss Niki Katzouraki were always there for us to answer any questions and address our concerns. We really appreciated that there were no hidden costs and everything was transparent. Thanks again for everything, we are definitely going to use this company again!!! Much recommended, A++++

I went on a mini break with my fiancé and we rented a car from carwiz. Although we arrived late to pick up the vehicle, they were very accommodating and provided us with a nice, nippy drop top car. We paid a large deposit because we used a credit card to pay, but it was refunded.

They didn’t accept a debit card for the deposit (1100 euros) so they placed a higher cost for the car AND placed a deposit for 500 euros on the debit card, why? The car was in bad shape and needed service which was clear on the panel. Rude and inflexible staff at the office. Charged us 50 euros extra at drop off for ”a stain of salt”. Felt like they wanted to do everything to charge us. The price ended up more than double for a really bad car. And I never write bad reviews..

Car has definitely had a smoker in it previously. Stains on the seats, ceiling, and dirt and spare change left in the cup holders and center console. It was the dirtiest car I had ever sat in in my life. Go anywhere else.

SCAMMERS AVOID!!!!!!
Just returned from Crete and have been scammed by this company. On arrival was told our car had been upgraded and he made a point of saying it was new - it wasn't, lots of scratches and over 15k on clock. Checked vehicle over and added some more scratches to list, also fuel tank wasn't full, as per the policy it should have been. Went off had a lovely time, no issues what so ever with car so was confident there would be no problems at drop off - how wrong. Instantly the guy checking car walked straight over to front pointing out a large scrape that was right underneath the front bumper and could only be seen from laying on the ground - he didn't do this just instantly pointed to it when walking up. There was NO WAY this had happened during our rental and as we hadn't checked the underneath of the car at the beginning of rental didn't have a leg to stand on. After pointing this out all he was interested in was charging our card, saying you have UK insurance so no problem, he didn't even check the other side of car and just billed us for €320. Clearly, after a quiet season this "upgrade" car was a plant to get money from us and I'll lay money on the damage not being repaired and the next unsuspecting travellers getting the same treatment. Spoilt what was a lovely holiday and will NEVER use this company again!

Best company for renting a car in Athens. Friendly staff, quick service, new car and correct price.

The worst experience we ever had in our life.
If you want to have a great holiday, avoid this stupid joke named rental car company.
They ripped of us for 155 euro extra. We already paid for full excess protection but they said this is not enough and we paid another full excess protection.
After this, we took the car and we realized that the A/C doesn t work. We called them and we spent i day on the phone.
They came with other car and as our car had the fuel tank full , we requested to make the full for the other car. The driver said that he doesn t have money to make the full and i have to take it as it is. "I this it s enough because we already came with other car. Now you want the petrol also..."
I ve just asked for what i ve paid. Nothing more.

It was the cheapest for a week with the right incurance. Good cars (less than 5 years) with good maintance and good service.

I rented a car for Chania few days ago. The car was in very good situation and the staff were really helpful! I will choose them again!
