Excellent service from Carwow once…
Excellent service from Carwow once again. Two issues you should be aware of: 1) The car I was shopping for (Porsche Cayman) had limited choices on options on the website before submitting the request (I suppose you may have a good reason for that). 2) Once I had chosen options, one of the car dealers making offers left out one of the options, making their offer look much better than the others initially. I didn't notice this until negotiations were advanced (and then they started nearly matching the best offer I had received). Had I gone back to the dealer with the best initial offer, I would have had equivalent value and service, but saved another 350 euro. My mistake for not noticing this sooner, but this is a warning to everyone else using the service. A car dealer could get an advantage with buyers ordering extensive options by dropping one option, making their offer look best, and then profusely apologize and add the option back in if the customer notices later.

Carwow has a lot of options for new or little-used cars. Most of the configurations of cars available in Germany can be done through carwow, and then one receives really good deals. The software is very easy to use and navigate and also communicate with dealers. I would highly recommend carwow for buying new cars in Germany.

Best way to find all needed conditions fast.
Since I'm new in Germany I was trying to find a way to buy a new car with English speaking delaership and good price. Also I didn't want to wait long time for delivery. With carwow I was able to do it super fast and without any problem.

The website is ok to make an idea of what the car will cost. Offers are not accurate, dealers return with different prices then what is shown on the website. Also most of the dealers are very rude in the communication process so you loose interest in making business with some of them.

Please note that until the beginning of this year, we still received the list prices of the vehicles with 16% VAT from the manufacturers and therefore the RRP was displayed accordingly with 16% VAT on carwow. As the date of delivery of the vehicle is relevant for the VAT, our dealers have already calculated the offers for vehicles on order accordingly with 19% VAT. In this context, there were then price differences between the carwow offer and the dealers' specific offers, depending on the delivery date.

Great Idea, poor execution
Buying a new car is a very stressful and time consuming exercise and the idea behind Carwow is brilliant but sadly the execution is poor. Trying to build a car can be awkward as the spec build is often set up differently. Why have you not managed to get basic software that can scrape the info from a configurator? Every car manufacturer allows you to configure and save it - some give you a link or a code.
Just looked at a Volvo, the engine spec isn't even listed. Can't believe there are no competitors to this that put you to shame.

We have kept our configurator on carwow simple to enable our customers to configure quickly in a few clicks. Of course, it is also possible to contact our partner dealers with a code or an already made configuration. Simply configure your desired vehicle with the standard equipment and then contact the displayed partner dealers with your desired configuration. They will be happy to provide you with an updated offer.
Even if the cash price changes due to a different configuration, the displayed percentage savings usually remain the same. So you can always find the best offer with the highest discount.
In order to check why your Volvo's configuration differs, we need more detailed information about which model you configured via carwow and which engine you could not find in the configurator. We would be very happy to receive more information at hallo@carwow.de with reference to your Trustpilot rating.

Cross check the info provided!
My experience till signing the contract was ok, Delivery experience not. Most of the questions were answered, though all the answers were not correct. I would suggest to go through the contract and cross check the services through Mercedes customer care as info provided by sales guys is not consistent. Moreover on Carwow the care seller offer few goodies on purchase but finally they don"t offer you that. In my case no free foot mats, small gift or pick up service was offered. If they don't offer, it should be taken down from their Carwow page.
