Fails by design. Fix sold Separately.

I owned the Wi-Fi enabled Leo's Loo Too. Here is the honest version, including the part Casa Leo would rather you not weigh.

How it fails. The power button sits in a housing underneath the drum. Moisture reaches the contacts, they corrode, and the drum stops rotating. Mine also had a faulty sensor. This is not a fluke; owners report the identical failure at the twelve to eighteen month mark, plenty of them still inside the warranty window.

Before anyone suggests I neglected it: we cleaned this box constantly. Wiped down, emptied, maintained ad nauseam. It didn't matter, and it was never going to, because you cannot clean your way out of an unsealed housing under the drum. Casa Leo knows that. They now sell the replacement as an "Epoxy-Sealed Power Button (New & Improved OEM)," advertised as having a resin barrier that shields the contacts and LED ring from moisture and litter dust, and listed as fitting every Leo's Loo Too color and firmware version. They redesigned the failing part across the entire product line and put a $29.99 price tag on it. Their v2 control board does the same thing for the cycle and sensor errors owners have reported for years. When your recall is a SKU, that tells you everything.

What failure actually costs you. This is not a gadget that quietly stops working. When the drum won't cycle, the box fills, the cat refuses it, and you find out because there is urine on your floor. That is the real product experience: not an error code, a cleanup. Anyone weighing $99 in savings should price that in.

Support. I first contacted Casa Leo on April 24, 2026. I was told replacement parts were available, so I bought the sensor. The button turned out to be unavailable entirely, with no timeline and no follow-up. They emailed me today, September 1, to say it is finally in stock. That is 130 days. Four months and a week without a working litter box, for a $29.99 part, on a $600 appliance.

The math, one to one. Leo's Loo Too is $599.99, and fixing their known defect costs $29.99 for the button and $14.99 for the sensor, plus $99.99 if the board went too. The Litter-Robot 4 is $699.00, with a 90 day in-home trial and a year of coverage for mechanical and electrical breakdown, accidental damage, and power surges, free shipping both directions, no deductible. The gap is $99.01. One failure erases it. Casa Leo's warranty resolves to a shopping cart; Whisker's resolves to a box on your porch.

I replaced mine with the Litter-Robot 4 and should have started there.

Pay the extra $99.01. It is not a premium, it is the cost of the 130 days they made me wait for a part they already knew I would need.
