I made a reservation using this company…

I made a reservation using this company with a deposit of Almost $500 and I have no email or any confirmation I've called their number and been on hold for more than 30 minutes several times and written them several emails have not heard not one single time back from them don't book here

Awful

Awful. We arrived at the rental place to find that not only had Casamundo not made our reservation, but we had been gouged on pricing. Luckily the venue was very accommodating, but as Casamundo had been paid to book our rental and chose not to actually book our accommodations, then chose not to get back to us in a timely manner, we will not be paying for services not provided and will be disputing the charges.

We also receive the current prices for the accommodations from our partner and would like to point out once again that Casamundo is not the final contractual partner and is not integrated in payment or refund. Beware of CASAMU NDO & BELITA GMBH

Last January I made an enquiry for accomodation for Lake Garda with this company. I signed no contract, paid no deposit was given a timeframe to complete booking which I did not proceed with. Now I'm been chased by debt collection agency for €322.06 !!!
Do not go with this company

Casamundo - One big scam - DO NOT USE THEM!

We just booked our vacation villa in Albufeira, Portugal through Casamundo. Everything seemed normal and went as would be expected. The villa was part of several homes being offered by a company in the UK called alsun.villas. We turned up for check in to this large luxury villa and no-one showed up to meet us. I went as far as to ring the doorbell and the owner came out. They had recently purchased the house 6 months earlier and had never rented it and weren't planning to. A very clear and extremely intricate scam. I immediately wrote to Casamundo, more than a week ago about this emergency. I've followed up with numerous mails and calls. Not only was there no response but I've heard literally nothing. After 20 years of extensive travel I just want to share with everyone, whatever you do, ABSOLUTELY DO NOT use this company. I don't care if they claim to have their hands free of all scams utilizing their website or if they can't control their offering, there is no excuse. They receive a commission on bookings, this means that they have received a commission on this 5,750 EURO booking and that makes them a direct accomplice to an international scam--they have accepted money from such a scam. On top of that the owner informed me that several people had shown up with the same situation in the last several months. If I do not hear from Casamundo ASAP, I will be pursuing a class action lawsuit against this company with all the other people that have been scammed from their site.

Dealing with this company can be stressful.

Dealing with Casamundo was quite stressful. We booked a holiday in Poland from Poland and all of the information we received was in German which was very bizarre and made the transaction way more difficult than it should have been. In addition to this we were informed of an 80% cancellation charge which was added sneakily into the small print. Be careful with this, as we initially decided on a preliminary booking just to see if this would give us more information about the place we were going to, as no address or information was given. We ended up dealing with an intermediary in Germany which was also very strange as we had booked the holiday from Casamundo's Polish website. It was also very difficult to contact Casamundo's offices, although when I eventually managed to do so after several attempts the service we got was good.

Unfortunately, it was quite a difficult time in the past months as we were lacking Polish speakers, that is very true.

However, the fine print never changed as customers get the agreed on Terms and Conditions sent via email.

The lack of our availability is due to the current corona crisis and us as well as all of our partners having trouble to even reply to the masses of requests that we receive at the moment. Our partner you mentioned has very similar problems.

As for your technical complaints it seems that currency setting's are in consistent and I'll have a look at it.

While you are not having a good experience, which I am very sorry for, we exist because we do help very many people to find the right vacation rental.

Improved customer service

After my initial negative review they have been helpful trying to contact your.rentals who have been unresponsive so far.
I'm still strongly opposed to their business model as it gives them only the benefit of making money on bookings through their site but don't have to deal with cancellations or complaints on the products they list on their site.

Crooks in collaboration

I used Casamundo to book a holiday letting. It turned out the booking was made through another booking agency, Poplidays, who I now realise have a terrible reputation. As soon as I paid my outstanding balance I received a demand for an extra 300 euro. The reason given was that due to a "technical problem" the deposit was included in the total price when it should have been separate. You would hope that Casamundo would do their research on crooks like this and support you. No chance.

the worst

the worst, do not use them to rent anything!
I paid, everything went wrong, casamundo never helped me with the owners of the house I rented.
The owners then keep the full deposit check and cash it - yes - and still no support from CasaMundo. They don't give the info I need to go after the owners. UNBELIEVABLE

Misinformation on Where Villa was

This company has made my health bad. Misinformation on where the Villa was. Then told we wouldn't know the exact location of Villa until upon arrival. Told because flights were late that would not be able to pick the keys up that day. And at extra cost could come back Sunday and collect them!! Disgusting and dishonest!!

It seemed to have gone reasonably well

The booking process seemed to go OK, but there was a little uncertainty as to when the deposit was being taken and I had to ring the UK branch to check that it was going through. I wanted to make sure that the booking was firm. Fortunately all was well.
