Con Artists take pics of your mobile if you sell to this company

Con Artists
My Samsung phone had an indistructable cover and not 1 but 2 screen covers. Mint condition. They emailed me and said there was a lot of scratches on the phone. There wasn't now they are giving less than half of what they offered and no money received yet. Last time I will use this company. Make sure you take pictures of every angle and side of your phone before you send them it. Plus if you refuse they want £20 to send your phone back. Make sure you take pictures!better still go to another company. I am reporting them to trading standards and having them investigated by hmrc. Basically taking people's money. and giving them less than half of value of mobile. I am 63 I have never been given less money than I was promised for a phone as they have all been in exceptional condition

BEWARE of CashForPhone

This is a scam company and should be avoided at all cost! Web site offer for my iPhone 13mini, £250.
My phone was immaculate, quality case and screen protector from the day of purchase, no marks!
CashForPhone stated, “marks on the bezel” ? so new offer £120! or pay £20 to have the phone returned without guarantee of condition of with the original Apple box!
I declined their offer, they then increased the offer to £144 which I accepted to save further hassles(that’s their plan!). Payment had not been received, a promise of an update also not received so I have made a claim to the Small Claims Court this morning. I received a payment of£144 after I had set the claim in motion!
As I have paid £35 court fee I’ll try and cancel and obtain a refund, if not, I will let the claim continue in order to recover the court fee.
For future reference, CashForPhone is a Tech Universe Ltd. Company, chief officer, Mohammed Patel Alibhai,
address, Unit 4, Cambridge Street, Salford M7 1UY.

FRAUDSTERS

Do not touch this company - I sent them my virtually brand new iPad 9th Gen and they quoted me £175. They emailed me the same day they received it to say there was scratches around the bezel and offered me £90. I replied straight away and refused and requested they return my property. They then offered me £108 and I still refused and asked for it to be returned immediately, they then increased it to £125.00 which counter offered £150 - they increased again to £135.00 and as I was doubtful about getting my iPad back in the same condition I decided to accept this offer. I then emailed them every day for 5 days until I finally got my money. Their registered company name is Tech Universe Ltd based in Salford. Not 100% happy with this outcome but please be aware of these type of people.

Stay away

Stay away. They offer a good price then tell you the item is faulty with no evidence and a much reduced price. If you reject new price they want £20 to return it.
Get a lower price from people you trust and have good independent reviews.

Do not under any circumstances send…

Do not under any circumstances send your phone to these people - I had 3 I phones they said would pay £384 in total after I accurately described the condition they very quickly sent info to send phones then next day offered £92 for all 3 which I rejected then £102 which obviously I rejected they then demanded £20 each ( which is way down in the not very transparent t&cs ) for me to get my phones back - out of principle I paid as each phone could easily sell for £100 each on on fb marketplace and I knew they wanted me to give up and accept their offer - they are now ignoring requests for the phones back - I have sent more than 10 emails all of which have been ignored - they replied immediately when I asked for banking details to send the money initially! So they now have my iPhone 7 Plus in rose gold my daughters red I phone 7 plus and my sons black I phone 7 - plus £60 for which they claim is the fee for looking at your phone - I have read elsewhere they will ask for postage too but they have yet to ask me for that they seem content owning the phones and cash . How they can be allowed to trade under their various slight name changes is beyond me - how are they allowed to deliberately scam people out of their phones and money is despicable. This is the first time I’ve ever re sold a phone after an upgrade and shall never fall for it again . Please do not use any of these sites they can literally hold you to ransom !

Poor service, no replies still haven't received money. Complete con.

My partner sent off two phones at the beginning of October. Firstly they reported the first phone was damaged (perfect condition) so were going to only pay £20 for the phone which was quoted as £50. Called them a few days later and managed to agree the original price as first stated as they couldn't prove any damage. Well that was over two weeks ago, still no payment (even though it was supposed to be paid on 18th October) after several emails sent and guess what we've spent thirty minutes on hold awaiting someone to answer to no avail. Clearly a scam and a con do not use at any cost.

Excellant after sales service

After receiving a lower offer than originally quoted I contacted them via email. A couple of days later I had a telephone call from the company, the gentleman was very helpful and as promised he phoned me back after about an hour.We agreed on a revised figure for my phone.Because of the attitude and helpfulness of this gentleman my opinion of this company changed from negative to positive.
