I had to cancel an order I made (using both a gift card balance and my credit card). I got an email saying order was cancelled, and I would get a refund of both gift card and credit card. I then tried to use my gift card and it is showing that the "card has no available funds left." Tried calling CashStar and the automated message says I have $0 on my card. Horrible service. No one likes the feeling of having lost money. Companies should not be using CashStar. Even if it is not the company's fault, I will think twice about purchasing anything from a website that uses CashStar.

For some weird reason I got a Wawa gift card as a class action settlement (yes it was legit), and I was directed to this website to collect it. With the website open in the background, I noticed my computer wasn't going to sleep anymore when unattended.
After doing some investigation, I found that this site was constantly trying to open WebRTC connections to an API on BlackRock's website. In the few hours I had the tab open, CashStar tried to send OVER SEVEN THOUSAND tracking requests without my consent. I closed the tab, and my computer started working normally again.
If you can avoid using this website, please do so. It's extremely sketchy.

More than 30 minutes ago I bought a £250 egift voucher from CashStar for our work Christmas meal at the Queen's Arms. It said it would arrive in minutes and it hasn't. No email and no link. I can't find any customer services to contact, the telephone number 866 does not work, no live chat, no way of contacting CashStar. I am really worried particularly given that so many people have had problems with their gift cards and getting issues resolved. The link was saying wait a few minutes to see the egift card and now it is saying 'eGift cannot be viewed'. Please can someone help ASAP? Thank you.
22/11/2025 Update - I called the pub from whose website I bought the vouchers from and they gave me an email address to contact (Guest Care). They referred me to another email address to contact (Blackhawk) with a telephone number. I emailed Blackhawk (no reply) and I called the number and spoke to Alfred who looked up my order and explained that there was a “problem” with my order which was not visible to me, but visible to them, which required the order to be reviewed by another team. Whilst he was trying to help, this made little sense to me as my order had been confirmed when the payment was made, but no voucher received. He said someone would call me back in 2-3 hours, which they didn’t. I have now supplied the order reference as requested via Maurice’s CashStar response on Trust Pilot (below). I am at a loss to understand why it is so difficult to contact CashStar for help, and I still don’t have the £250 voucher purchased yesterday. Please help. Thank you.
23/11/2025 Update - thank you Maurice, but I am none the wiser as to what the issue is and why I have not received the £250 voucher which I ordered and paid for 2 days ago.
I have not received any communication from CashStar other the updates below, no promised call and still no solution or timescale as to when this will be resolved. This is very concerning and disappointing. Please can the voucher be supplied or a refund issue ASAP?
24/11/2025 Update - 3 days after purchasing a £250 gift card and still NOT received.
8:36 am - The voucher finally arrived after trying the link again, which finally worked (having previously said 'eGift cannot be viewed').
Very disappointed with the level of customer services which is not joined up. No explanation for what the internal "problem" was with my order or reason for the delay.

I ordered from GameStop and they said they’d refund me with a virtual gift card through cashstar. I never received anything in my email spam/junk/promotion, nothing received. I tried to message cashstar about the gift card, but since GameStop bought it I didn’t have the necessay information. GameStop is telling me that cashstar sent it on 10/24/25 but still I didn’t receive anything.

Cashstar called me and told me why I didn’t receive the virtual gift card, apparently Gamestop never sent the funds. During my call with cashstar I got transferred to GameStop Support and explained the issue. 2-3 business days later Cashstar sent me the virtual gift card. I’m happy how fast cashstar contacted me, idk if GameStop would have sent it over if they didn’t, because they kept telling me it was already sent.

I used cashstar to attempt to by a lululemon gift card for my sister's bday. Lululemon uses cashstar and links to it from their website. My first attempt to purchase a gift card seemed to go through as I received a successful confirmation message initially, only to receive an immediate subsequent email that my order was cancelled for unknown reasons, absolutely no description of what went wrong. So I tried again, same results. I then logged into my bank account to see two pending charges, seems that cashstar will charge your credit card prior to performing any checks on your information. Now I'm stuck waiting for them to return my money, after talking to their customer service they said to wait another 2 days (its already been 2) to see if I get my money back, otherwise have my bank handle it! What kind of software/payment workflow charges you before actually validating all information? Cashstar!!!

Update: Issue was resolved. Turned out the card had been sent to my paypal email, not the email I requested it be sent to in the order form. Customer service reissued the card to the correct email address.
Original review: Bought a £20 gift card online for myself to add to my PSN account. Received an email link to view the card, but there is no card and my account still has £0. Tried contacting the customer support and got nothing back, tried to claim the money back through Paypal and lost that claim.

I ordered two e-gift cards through Thrift Books and they use CashStar to process them. The order went through immediately, but within seconds, I received a second email stating they could not process the order, no explanation. I called my card company and they stated there was no problem and the charge went through.
Apparently, this company likes to collect your money for its own use and then at some point will issue a credit.
They provide a link to access their Customer service team, but that is a black hole. I am hoping I don't have to do a charge back with Chase over this. Order number CNPZD7DM6K5.
There was no email as mentioned in the reply in the inbox, Spam or trash.

If there were 1/2 a star, this company would get it. Thrift Books had an offer that was perfect for me. Buy an e-gift card each for $25 minimum. I ordered two e-cards for myself using a credit card without a balance and a hefty amount of credit. The order went through and immediately the next email was a rejection.
I tried again with a different credit card, with and without a VPN on, using PayPal and finally using my husband's laptop and his credit card. All sold and all rejected with the same form letter.
After complaining to Thrift Books, they provided the URL for CashStar customer service. I wrote them without a response. The promotion is over.

I wish I could give CashStar zero stars. I bought a $300 gift card, and it’s been way past 3 business days, and I still haven’t received anything. Their site says “delivery within a few hours,” but that’s clearly not true. I’ve checked my email, spam folder, everything — nothing.
I’ve tried reaching out to customer support, and they’re either super slow or don’t help at all. For the amount of money I spent, this is completely unacceptable. I just want my card or my money back. This has been such a frustrating experience — never using CashStar again.

I’ve decided to order a $300 dollar Roblox gift card with my debit card and apparently it didn’t go through. I've been waiting for my refund as it says for 48 hours as my money is pending and this feels like some sort of scam, if i don’t get my card or money back I’m gonna have to report this as fraudulent please don’t use this site they also don’t respond to ur support request. If you want more details I can provide the proof of my back and forth process as my card provide says they can’t do anything about it.

I accidentally ordered a physical gift card and tried to cancel it within 30 minutes or placing the order. After contacting customer service, I was told that it was non refundable because there is a potential for fraud. How can you not cancel the order? There was no way that that I could have received the card.
I contacted them again and they did that according to their terms and conditions, gift cards are non refundable.
This is unacceptable, the company 100% could have refunded my money before the card shipped. It is a deceptive and malicious act.
I will be contacting Oura ring, and American Express customer service.
***Update 10/18/2025*****
CashStar sent me an email saying that they would like to help me. I emailed them two days ago and have yet to hear anything back. Seems like they wanted to save face and put in hear that they “were working towards a solution”. Still haven’t gotten my money back.

Bought two gift cards on roblux.cashstar.com. The site showed an error after payment. Tried again with another credit card: same error -but the money was still taken from my account, for both purchases.

similar to john's review, i also bought a 300 dollar giftcard for a friend and they claimed they would refund my purchase, it's been almost 48hrs and still no sign of a refund, they also did not get back to my when i emailed them about the incident, i have bought from them before and have had zero issue so i'm a little confused as to why it's now beginning to cause trouble, they'll probably reply with the same copy paste response they give everyone anyway
if this matter is resolved quickly i will be updating this review!
(edit 15/10/2025) my bank gave me a refund then took it off me an hour later (?), still have not received payment but I will update if this changes!
