I ordered the shawl collar Mackinaw. The delivery was fast and efficient. This is a wonderful piece of clothing! Quality and attention to detail. I am very pleased.
I've had some pieces from Cathcart before and they've been excellent. I recently bought some corduroy battle trousers in their sale. They arrived promptly all as-described but just didn't suit me. I returned them and James offered to exchange them for a different, more expensive pair (the wonderful Astor trousers). I've just had them back from my tailor (hemmed with a 2" turn-up, of course!) and they're simply fantastic.
My 4th pair in 6mths. The Ellington fit is the best fitting trouser with high waist and wide leg I have found, highly recommend.

Cathcart never disappoint - well made and oozing character - clothes that always stand out from the crowd.

In a time when customer "service" bears no resemblance to what a customer expects, let alone deserves, Cathcart London exemplifies what top notch service and goods should be. Yes, the garments are of excellent quality, every bit as luxurious and well made as you are led to expect, and more. But the efforts of Cono, James, and the rest of the Cathcart London staff exceed those of many other menswear shops. I was uncertain which size to order as I am unfamiliar with UK sizing. The staff patiently listened to my concerns and suggested the best size jacket, waistcoat and trousers. They did not fit, but returning them was easy and painless. It was then suggested I be sent two other sizes, to choose the best fit. Unfortunately, the jacket size I needed was by then out of stock.
.
Disappointment, however, was short lived, as an alert staff member noticed the necessary jacket becoming available again, and notified me.
In due course the package arrived and I am now the proud owner of a suit which rivals the best bespoke garments in my closet.
Well played, Cathcart!

As a first-time customer, I spent around €2,000 across several orders with Cathcart London. This included a made-to-measure (MTM) blazer, followed by two further orders for a ready-to-wear blazer, two pairs of trousers, and a rollneck jumper and at the end also some Boxing Day sale items. Most of these items were intended as Christmas gifts - ordered well in time in November.
Knowing that MTM takes time, I opted for the expensive express delivery, which promised delivery within a maximum of three weeks. This was also the reason I agreed to have all items shipped together in one delivery — saving Cathcart money and being more sustainable overall. In hindsight, this was a big mistake.
The shipment has not been sent in time, ultimately killing my Christmas gift plans. Worse, the maximum stated express delivery timeframe has been exceeded by more than 50%, meaning none of the orders effectively received the promised and paid for express service. Had I not agreed to consolidate shipping for Cathcart’s benefit, the ready-to-wear items should have arrived in early December.
To add insult to injury, I was incorrectly charged an additional shipping fee on one of the smaller orders. While this was eventually reimbursed, I had to chase it and justify the issue myself.
Customer service was excellent and responsive before the MTM purchase. After completing the transaction, however, communication became extremely slow, difficult, and at times completely radio silent. Oddly enough I started to get answers again, after I posted this review. But all in all nothing solved the issues as you will read below with continued promises “you will receive it in time for Christmas”.
I have received a reimbursement for the express delivery and in one of the packages is supposed to be a belt from them as a gift. But at this price point, this is not about shipping costs or the exact price of a blazer. In this category, expectations are set by both product quality (which I unfortunately still cannot judge) and customer service. On the latter, Cathcart has fallen well short.
I basically had to tell them to ship the Christmas gifts separately and before the MTM - they have not thought of that after a long email exchange. Additionally by then, one of the gifts was as not available anymore (no kidding: after 4 weeks of wait and probably a stock system just as bad as the shipping system) and I was given an alternative, which might be a slightly more expensive product, but also a totally different design. And again, it is not about the price itself on this category.
As a result, I am utterly disappointed. The excitement of investing in new pieces of clothing has been tainted, and this is not the experience one expects — or should accept — at this level.
PS: two weeks have passed, it is the 29th of December and nothing has arrived. The Christmas gifts are held at customs since December 18th with no outlook of being released, even though this is advertised as EU cleared shipping. The MTM was supposed to be with me when I return home from the holidays - no shipping has happened yet. Next to the disappointment, I am also losing the trust. So far I have paid €2.000,- exchanged numerous emails, waisted a lot of time, felt huge disappointment and have received ZERO of the 7 items.
Update on January 13th: by now everything has arrived and yes I was given a free belt as a gift. However, the problems kept coming… the MTM blazer missed an additional breast pocket and (I could be wrong having measured before) the sleeves were too short. Also no working cuff buttons - a basic item for an MTM at this price level. You get way better results for €1.000 at other bespoke tailors. And finally a white brand new linen blazer was shipped to me with two huge stains. Who does the quality check at Cathcart??? My email to address this, given our history, was not answered in a timely fashion. I am keeping the MTM with the missing pocket and will try to clean the Linen Blazer myself, simply to end this bad experience.

Extremely good quality Fabric. I love the fit and the styles of the airflow and art deco polos. These are perfect for Miami weather. I am really happy with my purchase and have no regrets. I could see these lasting in my wardrobe for an extremely long time.

I bought two pairs of these trousers and they have a nice line and it’s quite hard to find 20’’ hems without front pleats for some reason these days. However I can only give a poor review because of sizing. They are advertised as 36’’ inside leg but both pairs had 34.5’’ inside leg out of the bag. Cathcart say they wash their trousers once before sale and I think this accounted for the shrinkage. Unfortunately when I washed them, at 20 degrees, they shrunk again by 0.5’’. And on the second wash, they shrunk yet again by 0.5’’. That’s 2.5’’. The rise is also a little shorter than in comparable trousers and this compounds the problem. I do not expect expensive clothes to shrink. I have a 33’’ inside leg and they just about fit so if you’ve got a higher one and don’t like ankle grazers, best to avoid.

Been a customer for over 5 years. Great product as usual, most importantly great people to deal with. If you ever encounter anything, such as questions about shipping or size guide, staffs on the phone and email are very helpful. Just ordered something to Hong Kong, arrived within three days with great packaging skills. Good company!

The quality of the work is perfect and precise. For more flexibility, I suggest you make up to size 50 for jackets and 48 for trousers.

I’ve had four items over the past couple of years and they are all excellent. Great style and feel, they also wash up perfectly. Great value in my opinion.

Cathcart does beautiful work. I've purchased a number of items from them over the years. The quality is excellent and they make the ordering process easy. If you're looking for a vintage suit with all the details you'd see on an original these are the guys to go to.

First of all, great product. I purchased a pair of flannel trousers and a polo shirt and both were worth more than their price. And the fit is fantastic! Secondly, just as important, excellent customer service. I will definitely be buying more products from them. There is nothing more of a toss up than buying clothes online. But with Cathcart you can be certain that they fit true to size.
