I order my Cause box 2 months ago and have not received anything. I got an email today stating they charged my card for the summer box and I canceled my subscription. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS SUBSCRIPTION!!! I am in contact with my credit company to not approve any charges from the, PHONY Company!

My bank card number that was used to…
My bank card number that was used to pay for the summer Causebox was stolen somehow and used this morning in another state (Detroit, MI) by someone’s bank to check my account balance, all while the card was still in my possession. Luckily my bank (Ally Bank) alerted me immediately and cancelled my card before they could make any transactions but at this point, there may be pending transactions that they’ve made that will process on Monday since it’s a Sunday.
This normally happens with skimmers on gas pumps, Redbox machines, employees at restaurants or drive thrus, etc but since I only use this particular card for online purchases I can be certain that my card number was stolen while using it online. Aside from Causebox, which I literally just heard of on Instagram for the first time a couple weeks ago when I signed up, I’ve not used my card anywhere else in the past 4 weeks. This is a card I rarely use and a card that is linked to a checking account where I also have my sole savings account. This could have been disastrous for me.
After getting the call from my bank this morning, just an hour after the $0 transaction was made in Detroit and subsequently having to close my card, I googled “is Causebox legit” and found these and countless other complaints about the company.
Check your bank/credit card statements and just to be safe I recommend cancelling the card that was used to pay for your Causebox & ordering a replacement immediately. It’s a small inconvenience compared to the damage that could be done if your card number has been compromised (ie. STOLEN) like mine. Card numbers are rarely used immediately and the thief often waits a while (days to months) before making attempts to use the card number, often starting with small transactions initially so as not to be noticed and to ensure that the card has not been cancelled and is still active. Once they are sure that their theft of your card number hasn’t been detected they may make an attempt to check your balance using a $0 transaction from another financial institution, which is what happened this morning in my case. Once they know your balance, they move quickly to either drain your account before being detected. If you have a very large balance or line if credit, they may use just enough to not trigger any fraud alerts only to make a huge lump sum purchase later or they may spend $10,000 in one go. Either way, you wake up to a message from your bank’s fraud department telling you that your account has been emptied or your credit card maxed out...if you’re lucky. Some banks and card issuers are much less careful than others and again, especially if you have a very high balance and often make large and/or frequent purchases. You may not even notice until months later if at all, depending on your financial limits and how closely you monitor your balance.
BE CAREFUL EVERYONE, I cannot say for sure that Causebox knowingly stole my card info but it very much seems that way. I am going to contact Causebox and ask them to cancel my “Summer box“ order and let them know that my card was compromised using their site. I’ll keep records of the written correspondence and file a claim with my bank if they refuse to refund me or do not respond, I’ll also report it to the BBB. Be safe out there on the World Wide Web ladies!
Causebox cares more about money than their customers
Causebox customer service reps care more about the company's bottom line than customer satisfaction. I had an email conversation with a lady named Brittany W. While she was pleasant, she refused to issue a refund. It takes them FOREVER to process orders and this has turned into a huge let down. I don't want to be a member because its a BAD EXPERIENCE. She canceled my membership going forward (a year from now) but refused to issue a refund for the membership from which NO boxes have been shipped.
Nothing has processed or shipped from what I am requesting a refund for and she is refusing to refund my money. I don't want anything to do with this horrific company!! I don't think thats unreasonable to request. I am so ready to wash my hands of this unethical company- they are dishonest!!!

Box of lies
After nearly 6weeks I finally get my spring box and it's nothing like what was advertised. First I watched many videos about what to expect and was very excited about this subscription. When the box finally came it had a water bottle, some weird poncho that is huge and I can't imagine anyone wearing this even if it did fit (and I'm not a small women so for me to say it's huge is really saying something), scrunchies, face cream, and a rock hard face scrub that would likely take your face off if used. I was really excited about this box and I waited 6weeks which is more than patient to get what I thought I was paying for but instead I get this random stuff absolutely not what they said or what I agreed to pay for. I'm so angry and I want my money back. I want to be able to return this useless stuff but unfortunately they have a no return policy which is so wrong because they did not deliver what was advertised. Bait and switch horrible company. Anyone else who was lied to and cheated please join me in filing complaints and letting you-tubers, who promote this company, know what they are standing behind.
After a long time of back and forth we reached a compromise. I still would not recommend them right now however I am curious to see how their company grows and possibly changes to be more consumer friendly.

Absolutely NO customer service.
I ordered the intro box in April and I have yet to here anything from anyone about my package. It still says awaiting shipment and no one will answer my emails. I even reached out on Instagram. Im getting to the point where I dont even want it any more. This is so poorly ran. And its not like its a cheap subscription its pretty pricey so they really need to get it together.

I'd give them a 0 Star if possible
I'd give them a 0 Star if possible. They NEVER respond to emails, they sent one email after I joined. It's been going on 8 weeks since I joined and their site changes the shipping info maybe every couple of weeks. I joined way outside their window. They still owe me spring welcome box!!! Spring! We are in summer!!! Terrible!
Ordered the spring 2020 welcome box and nothing
Ordered the spring 2020 welcome box and was charged that day. (April 19) it’s now June 1st and I never received anything yet. Asked for a refund and they claim covid which I understand but 6 weeks and it’s not even shipped? It’s ridiculous. I asked for my money back and no answer just that my box is “coming soon” I don’t even want it anymore
Very fun to receive every quarter
Very pleasant company. I love the marketplace you can shop from as an annual subscriber. Good, prompt customer service. Very nice products monthly. I love that I am able to choose a few, again as an annual subscriber. Shipping times can be wonky but I’m just patient with them and don’t let it bother me.

I had to relocate from Missouri to South Carolina because of COVID-19. My Spring 2020 Causebox had already shipped out to my Missouri address, and the Causebox associate was unable to redirect the package to South Carolina. To make up for that inconvenience, Causebox sent me another Spring 2020 Causebox to my South Carolina address for free! The package itself is beautiful and all all of the products within are amazing. Everything is vegan and cruelty free with limited plastic packaging. It is an amazing product!
Great products, great customer services, great mission!
Really happy with my first CAUSEBOX! Everything was of great quality and I feel good getting nice products that are having a good impact on the world and helping me discover new companies and ways to shop consciously. Also, great customer services! I could tell that the team cared about their customers. They took the time to answer my questions twice and even replied to my “thank you” message.
I wouldn’t purchase any other box subscription!

It was a pleasure dealing with Causebox, very attentive customer service and beautiful products. Well worth the money!
STAY AWAY!!!
My friend just had her bank account frozen for suspicion of fraud! She signed up for causebox about 2 hours ago to look at their products. Never put in any banking info, never made a purchase. Just her email and address. The amount of $1.40 was taken out of her account twice. (Not a lot I know) but now she has to get a new card and the bank will not take the block off. I’d be careful using this site!
Lacking in Customer Service
I do like their products and the first three shipments arrived promptly after charging my card. Winter 2019 I ended up cancelling and I'm glad I did. The company was not up front on the delay 3 weeks after taking my money. Standard answer of working hard to fulfill orders. Later found out they had issues with a supplier. Be upfront next time. I'm trying one last time. Website currently says 7-10 days from payment than means mine should ship today. I don't believe that will happen and no response from customer service in reply to email. This company needs to realize it is more expensive to acquire new customers that it is to keep current ones returning.
Feb 26 order never shipped
On February 26, 2020, I ordered from their Market Add-On for $212.17. I have yet to receive my order. I have reached out to their Customer Service and basically get non-answers. The order has not shipped and I have asked for a refund. This business is All flash and zero substance.

I could not be more satisfied with a…
I could not be more satisfied with a product than Causebox. Their mission as a company is phenomenal and the products in their boxes are my way of treating myself and feeling better about who I am as a person.
Their customer service is FANTASTIC! I have spoken with many employees via email when I've had questions about my subscription and when my box would be arriving. The most recent person I spoke with was Killina who was absolutely amazing at her job. Not only did she respond punctually, but she offered incredible information and had the best attitude, even when I'm pretty sure I was asking dumb questions.
This was the most recent encounter I personally had with the Causebox team, but they truly are phenomenal at everything they do. You can tell that the employees love their jobs and that the company as a whole doesn't try to please the customer at the expense of its very own hard-working employees. Even if you just check out their comment section, their team is constantly replying to comments, good or bad, and do their best to satisfy the customer. I believe that positive attitude comes from someone who is passionate about their own work and given the freedom to express themselves.
All in all, Causebox is not only an amazing product, but company as well. If I could rate higher than five stars, I would.
Customer Service went MIA after I asked to cancel my subscription
I emailed customer service due to an issue with the coupon code that was sent out for the online market place. I just signed up with Causebox 2 weeks ago, so this is all my first experience with the company. When I applied the coupon code to an item in my cart, it increased the overall price of the item by $10, and then applied the coupon to take $10 off. I emailed customer service to see if this was a glitch, and they said they were unable to find my order (which I didn't place because of the price change). When I explained that I never placed the order, they told me to go ahead and purchase the item and then they would look into it. I asked them to confirm if they would still honor the original price if I checked out and it was still showing the additional $10 and she said that I was trying to purchase a "daily deal" (I had no idea what a daily deal was until this email) and if I wanted to buy the item, I would have the buy it at the price it listed when I checked out. I told her that I was uncomfortable with the way the situation was handled and the fact that the coupon code seemed to be faulty and would like to completely cancel my subscription and end ties with Causebox. It has been 4 days and I have yet to receive a response. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. I have now emailed them a third time and will be making a complaint with the BBB.
Cause box is awesome
Cause box is very responsive and has fantastic customer service. When I didn’t receive a box (through not fault of theirs) they went to lengths to make sure that we got a replacement and were super friendly throughout. Special thanks to Alona! Plus, I love that I’m able to support a company that ethically and sustainably sources awesome goods. This company really makes a difference.
Worth the wait for me
Worth the wait for me. I understand a lot of people were disappointed by the delayed shipping for the Winter 2020 box but I didn't really mind the wait. I've subscribed as an annual member as I like having the choice between products. I think as a monthly member it may be frustrating if you really have your heart set on something.
I liked the items in the last two boxes so far, and use almost every product that I've received. e.g. I wear the earrings frequently, use the mugs everyday & face oil everyday. I like that it introduces me to new things that I may not have picked up and helps me support causes, social entrepreneurs and small businesses, especially sustainability, without being too expensive. I think the Causebox is right for some people and is not an untrustworthy company - was a bit surprised by all the negative comments really.
It was okay, not worth the value for me
I subscribed to CauseBox from Fall 2018-2019 as an annual. I did not have issues with shipping or anything as people here now are reporting. However it is worth noting that their Facebook comment section is usually full of people complaining about their shipping time table, and they were when I subscribed too. I was a little nervous because of that, but most of the people with delayed shipments appeared to live in Canada and I am in the US so I thought maybe it would not affect me. I never had an issue with their shipping, but I’m not entirely here to defend CauseBox either. Maybe they give preference to annual members in shipping? Or I got lucky. I do not know. Regardless, I canceled CauseBox after 1 year. I don’t find the price to be outrageous, but I do think it is a little high for what you get, and that is why I canceled. Value was not there for me. I probably would have never bought over 50% of the stuff they sent me. I was very excited for a handful of items. Items that I really didn’t care for— they like to send cheaply made “vegan” leather items. Vegan leather is not new, but it has been rebranded. They are just vinyl. Saying it’s vegan is just a marketing thing. If you go to Target and check out their “leather” purses that retail for around $15, that’s the quality you’re looking at with Cause Box. Most of the time when there were color options I just didn’t care for the any of the colors. Occasionally they send items from “Altru” which I believe to be their in-house brand. I did like the macrame plant hanger, but these have been around and you can buy them for like $10. Could’ve done without Altru’s straw beach bag which was incredibly cheap looking to me and frankly looked like it was for children. A lot of the other items just weren’t my style. Gold plated jewelry, meh. The poncho to me, was just hideous. I am 31. No one my age wear ponchos, and if they do I have not seen them. I also live in a tropical climate so it was rendered completely pointless, style aside. Skin care products were okay, but I don’t really need direction in that department. The one makeup item I received was just terrible. A cheap eyeshadow palette made in China. Whom I believe mandates animal testing. I have never contacted their customer service so I cannot comment there.
Tl;dr— value not there. Not my style, not worth it.
