Caversham Picture Framer Reviews 

Took a black and white gloss print in for framing along with a watercolour painted by a family member - opposite ends of the spectrum! Both came out spectacularly well and exactly, if not better, than we’d hoped. Lydia was on hand to advise and guide our thinking about mounts, colours and frame styles, using examples to help set context and taking her time so we didn’t feel rushed. A more expensive way than doing it off the shelf but very much a bespoke, quality service with fabulous results. Worth spending the extra for something we look at on our walls every day. Thoroughly recommend them.

Lydia was very knowledgeable and helpful especially with choosing the right frame and colour combinations.
Me and my wife had initial reservations of our chosen colour combinations and were anxiously waiting for the final result.
I can say it was one of our best decision we made after seeing the final product. Worth every penny spent. Would highly recommend to everyone. Would come back for more.

As we’ve been framing and reframing treasured pictures over the last year, Lydia has provided wonderful creative advice and made the whole process exciting and rewarding. When one challenging framing project didn’t go to plan immediately, the CPF took swift action to resolve to our satisfaction and we wouldn’t consider going anywhere else. Lydia’s knowledge and understanding of art and materials and the entire framing process has given us complete confidence in her advice. Framing Project 3 with the Caversham Picture Framer!!! and surprise, surprise Lydia and the team did an absolutely excellent job! Each of the 3 projects I have submitted have been different, but at the same time each has been handled really well and the results are always better than I would have imagined. And yes....there is a Framing Project 4 - coming soon :)

Reframed a pair of large Victorian landscape oil paintings in damaged gilt frames. Gave excellent advice on more contemporary frames with painted wood and I am very pleased with the result. They have been transformed.

Waiting for two weeks for a frame and today received a call (having been told that completion would be 11/5) saying they couldn’t remember what colour mount I’d asked for and I could I remember what it was. Apparently it wasnt my error!!! No kidding! I’ve paid over £100 for you to provide a service and am frankly really annoyed. I won’t be using this service again. I know errors happen but don’t wait two weeks to tell me then ask me over the phone to tell you which mount I had chosen!!!

Alex the manager contacted me quickly after leaving this review and has gone above and beyond to rectify the error. My framed picture is being delivered to my home address tomorrow. The second picture I had framed is already back to me and looks great. Although my initial experience was far from great it has been dealt with well and I am pleased with the end result.

Courteous service, and amazing quality. We again let Lydia choose our frame and mount- she chooses colours that complement the picture in ways we’d never have imagined.

I've just had two paintings reframed by Caversham Picture Framer and I'm delighted with the results. Both paintings are full of colour but both were 'suffocated' by their original frames which were heavy and dark. Their input and discussion to help me choose the new frames was really helpful and their service is friendly and professional.

I've just collected my piece of art that had a mount and frame done. It is very precious to me, so only wanted the best. I had help in choosing the best ones, so don't worry if you are unsure what you want! They are very helpful and friendly. I've been using this shop for years.
