Extremely Opportunistic
So I ordered a Starry X-max, I was excited about receiving it, that I ran as soon as it arrived in my parchment box to get it.
I tried it with some premium CBD White Widow that I have prepared for the occasion, but to my surprise, the device got so hot during the session and burned my fingers, and so I took out the battery the battery was extremely hot. I got worried so I messaged the shop, because I thought maybe I was doing something wrong.
The owner of the shop (Marcin, I think) replied to me in person. He was very friendly, he asked me to keep trying with different blends, and different temperatures and different ways. I did as he asked, but ended up burning my hands further and the battery I used showed signs of melting, so I decided to return the product.
I sent it back, and Marcin promised to check it as soon as it arrives. I told him it was urgent, because I wanted to replace the kit as soon as possible.
After receiving the product he did not respond, so I called. This time he was not friendly, and he said that he has fourteen days by law to consider an action. I got really upset, because I wanted an answer to replace the product, and because it would take five minutes to see if the product overheats.
Before the call, I wanted to replace the product at their shop, because I thought they were nice (before this conversation). When I tried to explain this to him, he said he will give me answer by tomorrow, it was Thursday already and he had the product for a day, so I demanded that he does this now, because I wanted to order before the weekend to receive the product before the weekend (because it was urgent). He then hung up in face after saying "Thank you we will get back to you."
Being the oversensitive person that I am, I sent a message apologizing in case I raised my voice. Then, decided to not wait for his reply. After waiting for some time I decided to order from a different shop, because I really did not like the way I was being treated and I could not wait any longer. In my mind, I felt like I was dealing with a very hypocritical person, someone who is nice as long as he is profiting from you.
After a while, I get a message with 'Maia, we will refund you' - from a different number. Then not long after they send an email asking for the banking information to make the refund (I think strange, since 'real' shops never do that, they just refund to the card that was used for paying).
A week goes by, and then suddenly I receive an email in Polish (I don't speak Polish and until then we were communicating in English) which says that they will not refund the full amount, because they can't resell the product because it is in a used condition. They attach photos showing 'the used condition,' of a product that I have only used for less than a day and that they have had for over a week.
I really don't care about the money, but the fact that they want to resell a product that is defective and extremely dangerous really upset me. I mean, who does that?
Now, I am still thinking about whether to file a legal complaint or not. I am thinking of doing it, mainly because shops that are all about profit regardless of whether their products are safe or not are a danger to society.
