I bought a one time gift of Taylor's…
I bought a one time gift of Taylor's Port 1948.
The description called it Cracked cap Taylors Port, which I thought to be a contemporary allusion that I do not understand.
However it referred perfectly straightforwardly to the condition of the cap, which was cracked. When we drew the cork it fragmented and we had to leave some of it floating inside.
This is not a happy experience when you pay $1200 for a wine for someone's 70th BD.
I think a straightforward description would be more honorable and just.
The wine was fine.
