What a gem of a place! I cannot believe I have not discovered this before, but a friend told me from my U3A. Last week I dealt with Geraldine who was endlessly patient, gracious and had so much expertise on a range of wines. It really is a treasure trove and I look forward to trying different wines that you cannot find anywhere else e.g. Ukraine. It is a GREAT idea to have a Women's International Day Wine event today and I will be there shortly if the buses are running!! Victoria you also gave fantastic service, information and I have almost sorted my six wines to order in late April beginning of May. Thank you so much and Penny you probably know you have two fantastic staff! I feel sure CD will be a place of JOY for many years to come! Wonderful!

Cellar door wines are a very good independent. They stock quality wine at a decent price especially if you buy a case. The wine selection is adventurous so does appeal to people with an interest in exploring. A visit to the shop is a must if you can get to it.

Actually it’s unbelievably efficient!

I placed my first order with Cellar Door today (Saturday) for a case of wine, which was delivery to my door in less than 30 minutes of the order confirmation, probably closer to 20minutes.
I’m about 5 minutes drive from the cellar in St Albans, but still that is amazing.

Their website was easy to navigate and they have a varied selection of wines and price ranges.

Free delivery if you spend over a certain amount, plus automatic discount applied to your order if you order a case.
The free corkscrew was a lovely and thoughtful surprise.

I will definitely be ordering from Cellar Door St Albans in future.
